We did all the interior painting and paint stripping ourselves (with lots of help from FMIL).. We also replaced the kitchen floor ourselves..
We hired a painter for the outside of the house, because FI was afraid to get up on a ladder that high.. but FI and FMIL did the garage themselves(don''t have a pic of that done.. but it matches the house obviously)
We also had the floors refinished.. Ripped all the carpet out of the dining room and the stairway (you can''t see in the pics ,but that red carpet is all gone!!
Its taken a LOOONG time.. but we''re finally getting ready to move in! yay!

Beautiful - what a ton of work but what a difference! Did you remove a tree in the front yard, or is the camera angle different? Love the exterior as well!!!

nah.. we still have two trees.. i love the trees actually.. but I''m sure I am NOT going to love the leaves in the fall.
Yep, its our first house.. So we''re having tons of fun making it ours.. Now. I have to convince FI that a 60 inch widescreen tv is NOT going to fit in front of the stairs in the living room. I''m not even that concerned with the screen size.. but its also 60 inches TALL!!

I can relate MS! What is it about the boys and the HUGE tv sets? I''m trying to find an armoir large enough to hide our
monster tv in once we move. I''m not sure why I feel like the big old tv has such a frat-boy feel to it.

Your house sure looks cute. You must be super excited. We close on ours May 24th. I can hardly stop thinking about it.
It''s going to be fun making it our own.
