Confession time. All my family did was complain about the photos.

The angles are weird, why am I not in more... and their chief complaint (and the one that drives us both nutty) ... WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PICTURES OF THE TWO OF YOU. Why didn't they take more pictures of the guests, of us, of ... you name it.

I mean really? REALLY?

That's your chief complaint (and I mean we have heard it once a week for FOUR MONTHS)... that on our WEDDING DAY our photographers took too MANY pics of THE TWO OF US?

WHEW. I've been holding that in for four months. I was so excited when I first got our albums and I wanted to share the pics and ... now, they are hiding in our closet because everytime someone in my family sees them they start in it all over again. And EVERYTIME I say, " I love my photos, it was our wedding day, and I wanted the album to tell OUR story and it does. They took pics of all of you, and they are lovely and EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED." And they say, "Yes, they are BEAUTIFUL, but it's the two of you over and over again. You should have thought of us, of your guest! "

And we ADORE our pics. I MEAN ADORE.

It's so nice to finally have someone to share them with who is happy for us.

I also think it''s an ethnic thing, in Indian and Middle Eastern weddings 90% of the pictures are of the wedding guests. I barely had ANY of Mr. Kama and me at our Indian ceremony/reception. Share them all with us, we''d love to see more!

What part of ''couple'' does your family not understand??

Usually, the parents are in only one or two shots - if either of the parents was lucky, they might be in three.

They need to get a grip on reality!

OMG those were a million percent worth the wait!!! I think those might be the MOST GORGEOUS wedding pictures I''ve ever seen - every single one is absolutely exquisite - she did such an INCREDIBLE job of truly capturing the feelings and the emotions. Absolutely breathtaking!!

YAY! THANK YOU GUYS! I will post quite a few (probably so many you will start rolling your eyes!) just because I am so excited that someone is finally excited about them other than the two of us.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It was such a special day for us but all we have is the photos. And it hurts that our nearest and dearest just don't appreciate them.

My mother is in about 7 or 8. My grandmother is in 10-12. My grandfather is only in a few (mostly ceremony), and my cousin David (who was outside with my friends and about 30 beers) isn't in any of the pro pics. But there are non-pro that others have given us. AND MY DRESS BROKE AND MY PHOTOGRAPHER WAS THE ONE IN THE BATHROOM WITH ME FOR 40 MINUTES SEWING ME INTO THE STUPID THING. So she was a LITTLE busy. And yes, the second photographer COULD have taken guest pics while I was in the bathroom, but it didn't occur to anyone to point that out, and well... it wasn't a big deal. TO US.

So we didn't get to go around to the tables as we wanted (timeline dress broke was right when we were going to do that) and take pics. But honestly? They were mostly my mother's freinds. And .. meh. LOL. I'd rather have the pics of us.

Kama I know you are right. IN FACT, one of the nights they were complaining was when a distant cousin, whose daughter is getting married this year, was over and they were like... Don't make the same mistake we LET Layla make (

) with the photographer and the cousin was like... OMG, MY daughter wants and 'artistic' photographer too! So they are going to have two. Because the daughter can't stand Persian photographers (traditional boring pics), the parent's don't like the daughter's photographers.

Isaku, my family doesn't get it. They just don't. My mother even SAW 5 of Becky's albums BEFORE we booked her, and she couldn't stop saying how much SHE LOVED my photographer.

, eventually. It's still fresh (last was last week) but venting is helping me a lot. Thank you guys for putting up with my b*tching.

I'm so glad you guys think they are worth the wait. I'm not sure they are the greatest wedding photos ever (though its lovely to hear) but I am VERY happy with them. And they are exactly what we wanted and more, honestly. I really am having trouble picking between them because there truly are so many amazing photos.

I can't recommend my photographers enough. As people, or as photographers. And yes, "The Art of Emotion" is very fitting for them, because that is their focus.

Gypsy, i have to say your MUA and your photographer were worth EVERY PENNY - these are stunning photographs, you are stunning (not that you need a MAU btw, but you sure do look amazing) and the whole day just looks so...joyful. Love them!

EDIT: just read the commentary about the family's critique of the photos - i laughed out loud. The photos are SUPPOSED to be of the two of you, are they not? who's ever cared later on how the guests looked? Sorry you've had to deal with this - the photos are stunning...really well done!

I should probably say that I can't post all of them. I don't know how many proofs we got, but there were hundreds of pictures. LOL. It would take me days to get them all on here.
