Wut?! Seller is learning the hard way to accurately list the piece. Seems sus tho that the buyers are the ones to point out the issues.
 
Not sue if this piece belongs here . . . Definitely a STATEMENT (speaking as a crazy cat lady). Btw, this auction features quite a few interesting settings and branded pieces. I haven’t trolled through it all yet. Haven’t had the courage to buy auction, especially when it’s be sight unseen.

I saw that! Maybe that’s a fair price for what’s left of the ring but I noticed that the diamonds didn’t look very sparkly in the outdoor photos. I’m happy I passed on it.

Yes I was wondering about that too; they don’t seem to sparkle. But the photos are also bad. I would have given it a shot for that price since it’s returnable but I forgot about the auction yesterday. We will see if it ends up being listed again haha.

Well, I did. I thought maybe someone else would buy it and I didn't want to jump in front of them so I waited a few days and when it was still for sale, I decided to go for it. It arrived today and it's a very pretty stone. Definitely eye clean for me. Under a 30x loupe I can see two feathers and a couple of pinpoints but I think it is a VS2 as advertised. Color is pretty darn white. I assumed I'd pull the diamond for another project but the setting is kind of interesting, higher than I like and a bit too small for me, but not that much so I may hang onto it whole for a bit and then decide. Anyway, thank you for pointing it out.

That's so awesome! When I saw it sold, I hoped it was one of you that grabbed it. I second @kgizo that hand shots are an absolute necessity. And imperative even!

I was originally thinking about buying it to possibly make a toi et moi with a similar OEC I have, but in the end I was trigger shy. Oh well! Thank you for removing the temptation! :)
 
I can't give hand shots as it's about a half size too small. It would be above the knuckle shots......but I will try to take real life shots of it in daylight and post them.

I also noticed this listing on DB ... but the seller just created her DB account today, and this is her only listing, and the listing has only 1 photo, and the $1,200 pricing is very inexpensive for a 3.0ctw french-cut diamond platinum band ... to me it just reads as too good to be true, even as I do hope it is true for whoever purchases it.

I believe someone posted that this was their photo of a band they previously sold. It is likely a scam listing. Someone owns the actual band and it was sold for far more than that.

Yup, as @AnastasiaBeaverhausen posted, this is a scam. @Spring Day had sold this band some time ago, and someone is using her photos to try to sell a non-existent ring. It was previously listed at $3,200, so clearly the scammer is getting desperate.
