Oh my lawd—my heart stopped. I am sorry/not sorry I missed this.

Wait, it just relisted. It’s on the tight end for me. Damn menopause weight. Pondering.

But I just did a thing. Will post if it works out.

Intriguing—size 3 tho.

Edited: lots of pieces on the auction. Worth a troll through. I don’t want to keep bombing stuff!

I wonder what the story behind this one is—sweet.

Is that hair? It seems so sad to me that the family let go of it. I’m not sure I would want some random person’s hair but it’s such as sweet idea to honor someone’s memory.

Eep. I didn’t notice that. I know what you mean about seeing antique rings for sale. I wonder why such beautiful pieces find themselves without families and I hope the reasons are not sad ones.

For this piece, especially since it is a mourning ring, there is extra sadness.

ETA I know it was typical of the Victorian era to incorporate hair into mourning jewelry. They did made mourning into a high att from jewelry to all sorts of other remembrance pieces.

Nope—I just blew my “budget” on another item! Stay tuned. Teaser: transitional diamond :-)

I keep thinking of a quote from Mark Twain
“Virtue is insufficient temptation” and I have been far from virtuous

I do like the sapphires on this bar pin:

I’m on a roll. 1st Dibs is having an auction on items and I saw this Oscar Heyman piece. Isn’t someone on PS on the lookout for pieces by him?

I think it might be @RunningwithScissors who was searching for Oscar Heyman pieces! If I’m wrong about this, sorry, it was someone else with amazing taste!

I've never come across new old stock fine jewelry. Where can these pieces generally be found?

I found these on Ebay- (here are the links). This particular seller has other NOS listings.

I don't actively look for NOS - but sometimes run across them

Not cheap but so cool-carved Emerald for the equestrians out there...

Two toned, decent weight, good price - size 9!!! Way too large for moi but I know some of you have trouble finding bands in bigger sizes so this might be perfect for you.

New Old Stock with original tags

I have had one of those three you listed in my ebay cart before, wonder if this is a good seller to buy from?

So this sold again—for $1009 this time. Hope it went to a PSer who will post about it. Or, if a scam, will we see it sell for a third time??!!

Guess what’s for sale again?! The description says a couple of the diamonds have chips. I don’t remember seeing that before so I wonder if that’s new and it was returned because of that.
