3.11 ct heat pad at 18500 obo

That is a truly beautiful ring - if in real life it looks like that. But that's pricey! Is the setting worth that much just because of his name? I could see maaaayyyybeeeee $12k, but $18.5K?

Ok, Niel. Please go stand in the corner. I have that ring stuck in my head and it is your fault for posting. ;(

I covet that ring. I want to wear that bright sparkly thing with its perfect color.

I will tell you when you can come out.

Well I mean, I'm sure the setting is going to command quite the premium. I mean hand forged halos run, what, 5-6 k ? And that one is more detailed.

Actually, this place (and thread) is a much safer place when folks post eye candy  completely out of my price range

I agree, it's a bit high, especially since it's only 1 carat worth of diamonds. But some New Yorker will buy it I'm sure.

If we're doing high-priced halos, then this one from DBL always gets me. I LOVE the ovals instead of round used in the halo.

But why would you expect to sell a $24K sapphire without spending a $100 for an AGL cert? A bit silly, that. Leon had the sense to send his to AGL.

ETA: P.S. Check out their sunstones if you're in the market for a red/orange or green - WOW!

I just emailed CCG about this topaz. I think it might be THE perfect stone that I have been on the hunt for. I don't own any topaz, but color and size are spot on for what I had in mind. Thanks for posting! :wavey:

Yeah, it is kind of baffling, I'd never spend so much without a lab report. I'm sure they will get one for a buyer if they ask though.

Would somebody please give them a lint cloth?! That super-size fuzz is driving me crazy. :twirl:

Rhodonite cab ring from LM.

Would someone please let me focus on setting what I have, and take this temptation off the market? Large aquamarine halo ring, 600 dollars, from Jason Brims. The setting alone is worth more than that!

Now its one thing to show expensive eye candy on this thread (not the point though), but this one is dead on! A great buy. Boom! Exactly what this thread is about - Somebody's Gotta Buy this Stone (Ring)!

To your point about expensive eye candy, I still hold that pad is fait for what it is, and ive seen people spend that much for colored stone engagement rings here before.

A hand forged halo like that is probably 5+k of that price, and I've seen pads sell for 10k+ here.

Just saying its high but its not overpriced or unattainable, and seeing has sometimes people sometimes pop over only for e ring purchases, its worth checking out if this is what they're in the market for. Assuming the stone is as represented.

The other Leon mega though, now that's a lot!

That stone that Jason posted is nice! It wouldn't fit my finger (heck I'd have to rebuild the entire setting!) but very well priced for someone who wants an beautiful ring!

This is my first time posting in pricescope though I've been lurking for quite awhile. I'm actually looking for a nice aquamarine ring as its the birthstone of my girl. That aquamarine ring that was just posted from SelectGems in Loupe Troop website looks good and price good too. I'm still not very familiar with quality of stone and what's consider good price.. Is this a good buy?? Any idea if the stone is heated or unheated?

I would advise you to contact the seller and enquire if the stone is treated, as this information is not included in the listing, and one cannot tell just by look itself (perhaps the CS experts can, however, I certainly can't).

The stone looks clean without obvious inclusions or colour zoning, and no window. It appears to be well-cut and sparkly to my untrained eyes. The colour may be too light for some, however, I love light-coloured aquas.

As already mentioned by the others, the ring setting alone is worth more than the 600 USD asking price. Together with an aqua that is just over 4ct and measures 8mm x 11mm, I would say it is a bargain myself too!

DK :))

Thanks DK. I'll go check it up :)

Ask the seller to put it on hold for you as well.
