We picked out some of our songs last night. It was a LOT easier and quicker than I had expected! We can't do our ceremony music yet because we're still in limbo regarding the location (more on that later). For our first dance song we've picked out something not too mainstream but very "us". I still need to figure out what song to use for the dance with my daughters. I thought about In My Daughter's Eyes or I Hope You Dance, but I'm not sure if 1. I can keep it together during the dance and 2. if they will actually enjoy it at their ages. So I am trying to come up with something a little more light hearted but still sweet. The girls are 6 and 8 and will also be walking with me, one on each side. Anyone have any suggestions? I also just realized that I'd really like one dance with the four of us as a family, so I need to work on a song for that. Hmm.
FI still needs to work out what he's going to dance to with his mom, but I'm going to move on to the next thing on my list and let her wrestle it out of him.
The other thing we worked on is a list of key photos that we want to make sure we get. There's still a TON to do, but I'm really glad that FI is starting to get on board with helping to knock some of the collaborative items off of the "to do" side!
