Okay my savy and fashion loving PSers- a coworker of mine and I were talking about fall boots. It is hard to tell what will be popular this fall. What are your thoughts? Will tall boots be cool again? What will the trend be?

Cowboy boots will be HUGE this year!

I am addicted to pointy toed stiletto boots...ankle or tall..doesn''t matter. The pointier and spikier the better.

Brings me up to about 5''10.25"

I know when I''m older I''ll be kicking myself for wearing such things but I''m going to milk it for all I can at the moment, lol.

Glad to hear this as I just bought a fun pair of red ones!

I want to buy some boots this year to wear with my jeans. I am older than most of you here so my jeans are kind of tailored looking. I want heels because I am only 5''2", but would ankle boots be better or the taller boots that come up to the knee? I want to wear the jeans on the outside of the boots not tucked in. By the way I have worn heels for YEARS with no ill effects so if you want them ladies then go for it!!!

Whether you pick ankle boots or knee boots is whatever you like better. I have a pair of stacked heel knee boots and a bunch of stiletto heeled ankle boots and honestly, it just depends on my mood. I never wear the knee boots on the outside of my jeans but sometimes its nice to not have to worry about coordinating your socks with your outfit. With ankle boots they always have to go with everything (Well, I do because I'm 5'7.25" (hey, every cm counts!) and I have a heck of a time finding jeans that don't ride up above my ankles when I sit down

). With knee boots I can wear one plaid sock and one polka dot sock if I wanted to and no one would be the wiser

(Dang, I just gave away my sock secret. Now when I wear them everybody'll be asking to see my socks

) hehe.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE boots. Unfortunately I can only wear them underneath pants or long skirts cuz i got chicken legs and can never fill out the calf portion

. I have tried (kinda

) to work out my calve mus-kels, but to no avail.

I wish I had that problem, I have huge tennis playing calves, and can rarely find tall boots that fit me comfortably.

No you don''t -- trust me. If your calves are a bit too big, you can always stretch boots. There is no wy to shrink em. I can either pay an extra $100

to have a shoe person alter my boots or I can walk around looking like a 4 yr. old playing in my mommy''s boots.

Thanks for the info Diamonds4me! I hadn''t even thought about the whole sock issue. Maybe the taller boots would be a better chouce.

I have the same problem with boots always being too big around the ankle and lower calf area! I can wrap my fingers around my ankles! My mom says is the sign of a true lady....then we laugh like crazy cuz we tend to be the tomboy type!

But...my boots this year will be flip-flops! All year long in So Cal...

Seriously, I have to get something else to wear! But, they have to be comfy! Anyone know of good brands?

Actually, I think I''m shaped like you Tawn. I have muscular calves, but it really tapers down to a tiny ankle, so most boots are loose and baggy in the lower area, and super ight around the biggest part of my calves. I try to by really structured boots for that reason.

Even though I live in So Cal, I love boots in the winter time, especially going out at night. I like being warm...and since I have stiletto boots, wedge boots, boots with shoestrings, casual hiking-looking boots, I''m going to add these Victoria''s secret ones to my collection this season:
