Speaking of Vacation - European trip pictures!!!

Hubby and I just returned from our 30th anniversary trip to Europe. We had a wonderful time and I just had to share some of the pictures that I took. We flew to Rome and stayed at a lovely hotel there before boarding a 700 passenger cruise ship that visited ports in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and England. We flew home from London. We ate too much and drank too much, but we saw so many fabulous places!!!

This picture is of the monastery in Montserrat, Spain outside Barcelona.

This is a French chateau and vineyard near Bordeaux, France. We had fabulous wines from this area!

This is the Alhambra which is a Moorish fortress and palace in Granada, Spain. Magnificent!

This one is the lovely harbor in Nice, France.

This is the American cemetery in the Normandy area of France where many of the D Day victims from World War II were buried. It is a very moving sight.

I took this photo on the breathtaking Amalfi coast in southern Italy.

We seem to forget just how wonderfully magnificant this WORLD is. Daily we''re holed up in our same old routine. Many times seeing the same concrete jungle and modern day instant architecture-Best Buy, Walmart, Lowes, instant boring non descript box structures. What a treasure for all of us, to see what you saw on your trip. Vivid color, rich textures, ages of history....I can almost taste your trip! Your photos are that good! Thank you for sharing!! What a great way to celebrate 30 years of marriage. Cheers to both of you!

I appreciate the nice comments on my photos and I am so glad that you all enjoyed them! It really was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary and we met lots of great people.

Yes DS this was a cruise on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager. We enjoy their smaller sized ships. We''ve done several land trips in Europe as well as a couple of other cruises and each way of seeing things has pluses and minuses. You have more time to really experience a place on the land trips, but the cruise allows you to see more places and not have to unpack.

DeeJay thanks for asking about hubby''s shoulder. He is doing very well. He took a pulley with him on the trip to do exercises and next week he will start physical therapy.
