ALLY!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, how incredible that it was found!!! I know you have some mixed feelings, but honestly, what a coup.....I am dying to hear the whole story sometime. And I think it''s amazing that your replacement stone has morphed into a gift for your mom!!! I really hope the police can finish up with your ring soon and you can get it all fixed up and BACK on your finger!!! (And there will be another 2.33 for you someday!)

HOORAY!!!

Wow I can''t believe they found your ring after all this! That is such a nice surprise for your Mother and I can''t wait to see a picture of what she is getting. Hope your exam went well.

WOW! What a relief! I saw your first thread and I was so heartsick for you Ally. I am so happy that you will have your ring back. Great present idea for the other stone as well.

I cannot believe this thread!!! I am glad you got it back and think it so sweet that you are getting your mom a lovely gift! What a kind person you are...it will come back to you, in spades, I am sure!

It is unbelievable that after all this time they found your ring! It really is a good thing; you would have spent the rest of your life wondering who was wearing your ring. I know you are disappointed - having a larger stone waived under your nose and then not getting it is hard but I do believe this is for the best. There will certainly be other stones for you at some point in time but I remember how bad you felt initially about taking it somewhere against your fiance''s advice and then having the situation go south. What is happening for your Mom is terrific too - all''s well that ends well. I wish you all the best - please take lots of pics when it returns so that we can all drool again. It is a beautiful ring!

Hey everyone! I''m so thankful for all your good wishes. The exam actually went well (the teacher must have been feeling terribly mellow)...every time I ask for some good luck on this forum, everything turns out better then I expected. So I''ve been taking so many pics of my mom''s necklace. Trying to be discreet so she doesn''t catch me...but for some reason, the pics look horrible!!! It''s harder to take a picture of a necklace then a ring.

This is the only half decent one I got. So of course, it might not be to everyone''s taste, but I love the sentiment behind it. The nice part is that there are 4 cluster''s of black diamonds...and my dad said that they stood for each of the four children. It''s kind of like a "mother''s ring" There''s bezel set diamonds all around, but they are hideously unclear in the pics. All I about the diamonds are that they are F-G in color and excellent cut.

Since it''s not a ring, I''ll post it on this thread....maybe give everyone a rough idea of what it looks like.

Ally, it is just beautiful. I love it and I know your mom is going to just adore it too. Especially with all the seniment behind it..wow...

Family stone: I read about your stone in another thread, I''m sure it''s going to be beautiful

Blueroses: I''m always so happy to hear from you there''s still the issue of the missing stone, but it will be nice to have it back. There is some sentimental feeling to it.

Scintillating: My ring looked the same to me. Actually, the thing with it, is that the stone is slightly off center, like not dead in the middle of the halo, and when I saw that it was still like that, I knew it was the same stone. I don''t know if the police have to process it, and make sure it''s the same stone or whatever.

Dancing Fire: Yes.....there still isn''t a happy ending to that little mess, but I''m actually considering cancelling the engagement party, not because of the ring, but my boyfriend''s uncle just died yesturday (lung cancer) and his mom is DEVESTATED, because it was so sudden. I don''t think she''ll be up for a party or anything for a few months, so maybe I''ll push it back to August/ September... it just seems really wrong to be having a party when their family is so sad. We''ll see what she says she would prefer.

I love the necklace Ally, your mom will love it. I m soooo sorry to hear about your FI''s uncle. That is so sad.

Ally,

I think the necklace for your mother is equisite (the black diamonds are an amazing touch). Anyways, sorry to hear about your boyfriend''s uncle a death in family is always tragic. On a more upbeat note I am glad that you know your center stone is the same. It really is remarkable that they were able to recover it. Good luck on the rest of your exams.

Ally, that''s incredible that they recovered your ring! Also, your mom is going to be blown away by the necklace! Maybe you''ll be able to take some more pictures after she receives it! How sweet of your father, and that''s great that you guys didn''t lose any money with the deposit.

I love happy endings!

What a unique necklace Allycat! I'm sure your Mom will be thrilled. I'll bet you can't wait to see her face!

So sorry about the death in your fiance's family.

That necklace is just gorgeous and so unique. I'm sure your Mother will treasure it for its beauty and for the special meaning it will have for her.

I''m sorry about your b/f''s uncle. Tragic.

I do however like your Mom''s necklace - very different and very pretty! I''m sure she will love it too!

Any idea how long it will be before you get your ring back? We are anxious for you to have it back and on your finger!

Hey, just saw this, and very happy for you that the ring was recovered! I didn''t think it was going to happen . . . kudos to the cops.
