Until yesterday, I had decided on a micropave band of the same width as my e-ring. I had contemplated Leon''s DNA band but dismissed it as too blingy in combination with my e-ring. However, while out with sweet scarlet, I tried on a similar band and it worked. So, I''m confused again.

Hmm...I''d tend towards the classic for a wedding band, so I would lean towards the micropave band. But if you have your heart set on the DNA band, you should get it! If you''re on the fence, you could always get the DNA band for a RHR or to stack with your e-ring for special occasions.

I think both bands would look good with your e-ring. Do you have any photos?

Thanks, thing2. Are you a photoshop whiz?

I also vote for the plain micropave band for the primary wedding band and getting the other one for either a RHR or alternate wedding band when not wearing the e-ring.

Thanks, DS.

Is anyone up for some photoshopping?

You''re welcome! Sorry I am too technologically challenged to do photoshop!

What did you want done?

I think she wants to see her ring next to each of those bands. Might be hard to do with the way the pictures of those bands are, though.

I am the opposite of a photoshop whiz! Sorry! Hopefully someone will chime in who can do photoshop!

While the micropave ring is gorgeous, Leon''s DNA band is simply stunning! It''s also substantial enough for you to wear on it''s own. Personally, the DNA gets my vote!

Hi Harriet,
I love Leon's DNA band and think his instincts are good regarding pairing it with his solitaire. I feel like you want something classic with a twist of the unexpected and that DNA band seems to fit that description (literally).

I also think if there were something ready made, you'd have already snatched it up by now, having access to all those yummy stores in NYC. I also went WB shopping this weekend and came up blank at Tiff's (who knew that was possible?). But nothing seemed to look good with and without my ring. They either looked good with the e-ring but not alone or they looked good alone but interfered with the e-ring.

What has been working are the twisty bands, so I'm going to try and get Leon some examples and see if we can agree on something. The attached Michael B. is a pretty twist band that's a bit tighter than the Leon DNA band. Although, I love Leon's DNA and think it's perfectly delicate and airy, this is a somewhat narrower alternative, which might wrap nicely around your phenomenal center stone.

ETA - I still love how you can see through Leon's DNA band. Have another look at bem3231's ring for a memory jog on just how delicate and delish that shank is. Mmmm.

Justme,
DS is right. I''d like to see my ring on top of the micropave band and the DNA band (which Leon doesn''t stock and so can''t be tried on).

Pixley,
Have I told you I love your diamond? :) Thanks for rustling up that band. It''s very much like the one I tried. Speaking of Tiffany, I was there with a fellow PSer recently. We asked to try a necklace on anf were chided: "Ladies, this is not a plaything."

Harriet-
I think that MichaelB band might be exactly what you''re looking for! The twisted look with more bling but not as wide as the DNA band! I think Michael C Fina carries that line.

And I still the attitude at Tiff''s was hilarious. Her loss...

Yup. Her loss.

I''ll see if Leon will make the DNA with a twist. :)

I know she (or he) didn''t! Wow. That is beyond rude. What did you say?

I said: "Ma''am, I hope I''m misinterpreting you, but we both find what you said extremely offensive. I am looking for a necklace for my wedding and did not ask to see something I can''t afford."

Good for you. And she said?

You always are. ;)

Just called Leon, but he''s in a meeting. Btw, my tsav ring will be ready tomorrow!!!

That''s really awful...what did she say to that? Did she let you try on the necklace???

Ditto.... plain for the band so that your e-ring takes center stage

I've always found the staff in Tiffany's in London to be very stand-offish. I've only heard good things about the New York store though! That was a horrible thing the SA said to you. Ranks up there with the SA in Dublin who told me "you can't just have exactly what you want you know"

Anyway, Harriet, guess who Leon was in a meeting with?

ETA - I love the plain micropave ring as a wedding band. The DNA ring is stunning but more of a RHR to me.

Delster,
A certain Irish girl?

The SA said that it was because of the way we were clowning around. She did apologise, so I''m letting it go.

Argh. Both bands?

Nope, I''m not ''involved''. But you''re close!
36.gif

That was good she apologised. All was well in the end then? All I did to the lady in Dublin was to ask if they could source a particular size diamond and put it in one of their settings for us. Apparently that was a very bratty question?

Both bands sounds like a plan to me! Enabling, much?

vslover,
I made my statement to her only after she ''let'' me try on the necklace. I did not say anything at first because I thought I may have misinterpreted her. But my companion felt the same way so I piped up.

Delster,
An Irish gentlemen?

I just spoke with Leon and he said he could twist the DNA. I might get the micropave as well. Bad, bad, bad.

Hmmm. Seems 'someone' typed "Leon" into a message by mistake. So actually, I have no idea who Leon was in a meeting with! And 'someone' is feeling rather sheepish now because I got all excited

ETA - no, not bad!

Delster,
;)
Have fun here!
