I want to buy this setting but I'm terrible at completing projects so prefer to do it all at once.

I have bought in the last few weeks 2 different garnets, and a light colored garnet would look really well with your platinum setting.

I think you’re going to need a more “square” shape, I think it’s too long. Of course, the prongs could be replaced to accommodate it but that’s going to start adding up to extra $$$
