Stopping by to say hi fellow LIW''s! And a fun update for me (another Tiffany excursion)

Ever since I got this new job, they have been keeping me VERY busy that I haven’t had much time to come and hang around PS as much.

But maybe that could be a good thing because it has kept my LIWitis in check and I haven’t had much time to think about it. (Until I get home anyway!)

So after I am more settled into the job (I’ve been here for 2 ½ weeks already!) then I will probably be able to come back around more often. I hope everyone is doing well!

But I did want to mention that last week FF and I were at the mall because he wanted to see this Medal of Honor display they had there. Well he was taking way too long and I had my eye on Bailey Banks & Biddle because I have only been in there one other time. So I told him I wanted to go in there and check out the Ritani’s because I’ve never seen them before. So I went in myself while he was looking at that other stuff and the SA showed me several Ritani, Scott Kay and Tacori rings!! That was fun and I didn’t care for the Tacori’s for myself. They are gorgeous though! There were only a couple of Ritani’s that I kind-of liked and one Scott Kay that was not too bad. But I noticed that nothing made my heart pound like a Tiffany! I was very excited to see these rings though! What fun...

So after all that I was telling FF about the fun I had in the store and that I wanted to make a quick stop into Tiffany to confirm my initial thoughts and compare because I had the other rings still fresh in my mind. FF obliged but chose not to go in. (Which was fine, he looked at Tiffany rings with me the last time and we can always do this together again another time along the line when we are more serious and ready to look.) My favorite SA went home sick so another SA helped me out. I looked again at the Tiffany Setting and I asked to see 2 of them. (Because the time I looked with FF was the first time I ever tried on the Tiffany Setting. This would be my second time trying them on.) One was 1.12ct the other was .90ct. And when I put one on my heart was fluttering again just like last time!

I KNOW this is what I would really love to have someday because it makes me feel all giddy and in love just like how FF makes me feel. I also asked to try on the Round Brilliant with Tapered Baguettes (another one FF and I looked at and tried on last time that he loves) but I still think I like the Tiffany Setting better after all. I was talking with the SA about the last trip FF and I had there and then I tried on SEVERAL wedding bands with the Tiffany Setting and the RB with Baguettes! I wanted to compare the Novo to the Legacy with the Tiffany Setting and I like the Novo much better! I also tried on the Shared Setting and 2 different Channel Sets. We were discussing how I liked trying on the wedding bands with the engagement rings because it really helps to see what could be paired with it and how it looks on me.

I told FF about the fun I had and I told him “Now I know!” He says “Know what?” and I said “What I really truly would love to have!” (dreaming of course, and Im sure Id love anything) The other rings were beautiful but I just didn’t have the same reaction to them. Hopefully someday he will look with me to compare the rings together. The only strange thing is that he said to me “Isn’t the Tiffany Setting the one with the sharp edge?” and I laughed at him and told him its called a knife edge and it isn’t sharp! Haha he was thinking it was sharp and said he thinks he actually doesn’t like that. But I had to reassure him that its fine and reminded him that it wasn’t sharp when he looked at it the last time! Haha silly boys!

Oh and one last thing! Speaking of Tiffany’s. We were at another mall the following week walking around in a store and complaining about taxes. FF has this grand “plan” for after making a major purchase at Tiffany. (hint hint!) He has mentioned this before which is to send it out of state (to where he used to live) so he wouldn’t have to pay for the taxes. Anyway, now I find out he has thought this plan out thoroughly- he knows who he would send it to because he “highly trusts him” (an old family friend), or he mentioned about getting a P.O. Which made me think if he’s thought this out THIS much then he must have a plan (involving Tiffany!!!) because I never told him anything about the tax situation………I can’t believe he tells me these things. Ha!

Tiffanys!! So which one did you decide that you really want??? Thats cool he has a "plan".. crazy boys and their plans.. my FF has a "plan" but I dunno what it is.. but he keeps assuring me all the time "I have a plan, dont worry " hehehe... Hopefully he doesnt make you wait a long time!!!

I would never leave this place! I've been wanting to come around. I couldn't wait any longer. hehe

But, this job is so wonderful and Im so lucky to have landed this good job!

Back to the good stuff- I honestly LOVEEEEE the Tiffany Setting so much now. I know I never considered it before (because I never tried it on until that point) but if you remember the last trip FF and I made out there and he always liked this setting for me so I tried it on (last time) and was in love instantly (having previously loved the Novo, but after trying on the Tiffany Setting I was like OOOOO much better!!! Ha! When I tried it on again this time, I was like "This is it!!” I thought I knew for sure last time- but after comparing it to those other rings this time, I really know for sure now. I hope... hope... hope... I will be lucky enough to get one someday! It is so elegant and looks GOREGOUS next to any of the eternity wedding bands. They make it POP!

But as always, who knows what he will end up getting me...........

Very exciting! I love Tiffany''s. I tried on the Novo when SO and I went to Vegas in July, isn''t it spectacular? Love me some cushions!

It''s funny because I had a similar shopping experience this weekend...tried on some lovely Tacori''s and Ritani''s, and then "The One" and feel in love with it all over again. It''s so great.

Glad you''ve been having such fun trying on rings! I know what you mean about knowing which ring is "the one." I tried to talk myself out of my "one" ring and then when I saw it again (on Wishful''s finger!!

Hi Gwen!! Its good to see you!

The job is AMAZING! Im having so much fun and my co-workers are so nice, I fit right in! Im glad they are keeping me busy because at my last job, work was slow and my boss was the crabbiest person you'd ever meet. So things are so much better here! And the pay is almost twice as much as what I was making before. I can hardly believe this is my job! It hasn't set it just yet. Oh, and I think I mentioned the HUGE window right at my desk! It looks out into a grassy area with trees and I can see the squirrels running around. I LOVE IT!

FF is STILL looking for a better job but with the way the economy is going, it may take forever for him to find something.

Im currently making more money than him now and he honestly wont get "the ring" of my dreams until he has a much better job and has been there for a while (That's just how he is. But I guess its better to be set financially before marriage, I know he wants to have enough money for the both of us and to cover a ring. He is very money concious and believe it or not, so am I! ha!

) He will find a better job though, it just might take a while....But until then, I will keep on dreaming.

I love trying on rings.

I wish FF was with me this time but as I said, he was there last time so its ok (for now!) ha! That's great you know which ring is "the one" too! Its so funny that I thought I liked another ring (I think you know this story so I wont tell it again) but after trying all these rings on, its so much easier to know what I like better than others. Its crazy but I just have this gut feeling that I SOOOOO hope I get this one! Having those rings on my finger makes a huge difference over just looking at them....

My SO and I went into tiffanys in Paris and i tried on a few Lucidas. Ive always loved only two diamond cuts - the lucida and the emerald cut. Though trying these ones on i decided i prefer the rectangular lucida to the square - it looks bigger!! They didnt have a huge range though so we''re going to look at some more in the UK. I think ill prolly end up getting an emerald cut elsewhere though, if i go for the lucida ill have to go smaller see? ahh the dilemmas

I think the tiffany setting is lovely, i tried one on and the band is so heavy and comforting somehow - im sure it looks lovely on you :O) And my goodness does that box give me the shivers

Oh PS - for the first time looked at a ring in natural light at tiffanys. Looked much nicer than under the down lights. As in a million bucks nicer. Strange...

Blackpaw- How exciting! The Lucida is gorgeous so I can understand how you feel! I wish you all the luck in getting what you long for.....The Tiffany Setting sure does look lovely on me (I will admit

), I find myself looking at my ring finger imagining it there.....

haha. Im bad! I really love how the setting is nice and sturdy holding the diamond but it still looks delicate with that knife edge. So I think Id never worry about the diamond falling out. Some settings I looked at just don't look as secure to me. Anyway, I've never looked at Tiffany rings in natural light. You see, our Tiffany is actually in a mall. I told FF (the last time we looked together) about how he can someday look at them in natural light but he thinks they wouldn't let him (since its in a mall) and I told him maybe they would if security went with or something???

I wished he'd ask to see it like that sometime and that they let him.........

cant help it!! Definitely try to have a look at them in natural light. I think you get a better idea of differences in colour then too. And yes seeing the lucida in normal light (it was overcast actually) it just looked amazing

maybe if you have a store with windows around town?Or surely a security guard could pop the ring on his pinky and take it for a walk outside
