Hello All,
Can I please ask your opinion in regards to choosing a couple of diamonds that I would like to set into a pair of yellow gold earrings with James Allen? I have used the parameters I found from NiceIce, Beyond4Cs and Garry H (Earrings & Pendants less than 0.50) and narrowed down the results I got from James Allen. There were 14 stones in the original results. I requested copies of the GIA reports to get the complete measurements and I also tried to get the HCA Scores but can only get one and I can't access the HCA calculator anymore.
I am looking for warm coloured stones (yellowish tint not brown) in the best cut I can find outside of the premium ideal cuts of CBI, BGD, Whiteflash and the kind. I haven't been able to find warm ones under 1ct so that will be more suitable for a future upgrade that I will need to save up for. The following stones falls under US$1,000 for a pair which makes the project possible for me in the very near future, i.e. when our lockdown finishes.
Looking at the stones in the JA site, I really can't tell the difference now whether one of the following will be better than the other. I am looking at the bezel or milgrain setting with James Allen in 18k yellow gold as I intend to remove the earrings only for cleaning. I hope that the yellow gold full bezel setting in earrings does not make the diamonds look smaller.
