Sometimes people use a figure (L/W ratio?) when describing their elongated gemstones...ovals, ECs, rectangular cushions, etc....

How do they get that figure? What''s it called?

Me dumb..

Say my pear stone is 10.43 by 5.39 by 3.09. length by width by depth.

10.43 divided by 5.39 is the length divided by the width, which equals 1.93. The l/w (length to width) ratio for that stone is 1.93....which means it's almost twice as long as it is wide.

Thanks, FG!!!

I shoulda clarified though, the only name I know for that figure is the "length to width ratio."
