As most of you know, K and I left for a cruise on June 1st. Our ports of call were Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands, Half Moon Cay & Nassau, Bahamas. I thought I''d be a wreck every day knowing it was going to be sometime on the trip but surprisingly I was actually pretty cool about it all. I never once had a "oh my gosh, he''s going to do it" moment. Which I think is so weird b/c when you''re expecting it, you usually think that pretty much every romantic moment that arises is going to be IT. Haha. Anyway....

June 4th, we arrived in Grand Turk. We had an excursion planned for a Catamaran ride which included some snorkeling (awesome) and then swimming on a private beach. We snorkeling for probably like an hour or so and then got back on the Catamaran and set sail for the private beach. I have yet to know the real name of the Beach, so K and I named it Kyle and Melissa''s Beach. Hehe. Corny, I know. We get to the Beach, jump off the Catamaran and start swimming around. The whole time we''re taking pictures and just hanging out. They had a guy coming around to us in the water and giving us all different kinds of alcoholic drinks. So we''re in about 4 1/2 feet of water, K pulls me over to him and is holding me and says:

K: look at this, this is so beautiful. we''re going to remember this Island for the rest of our lives.
Me: (Kind of confused, not thinking anything) Why do you say that?
K: because this is where I am going to propose to you.
Me: (still not thinking ANYTHING at all...) Stoooppp. No, you''re not.
K: yeah. I am.
Me: (Not sure if I said anything here... I think I was just still not putting it all together. lol)

He goes on to say how he doesn''t have a ring but loves me so much and asks if I will marry him. I, of course, said YES. We hugged & kissed. He kept saying how much he loved me and did I realize how much and... I don''t even know what else. I think he said other stuff but I don''t remember. I was just truly in shock. Haha. I didn''t expect it AT ALL in that moment. I didn''t even believe it really happened until after the fact.

But it was perfect and I wouldn''t have it any other way. He definitely surprised me, which I am very happy about and ahh, I am just so happy!!

I am a horrible story teller but hopefully I conveyed how romantic it was to me. I wasn''t all prettied up... actually, my hair was a mess, I had no make-up on... and I had sunburn all over. But it was better than I EVER could have imagined.

We went on to somehow LOSE our waterproof camera that we used to take pics of us after he proposed. But K got a bunch of people to look for it and THANKFULLY someone found it!


Oh and, it''s official. April 17, 2010 is the new date!
