The blue tanzanite we usually see is heat-treated, and the untreated tanzanite has pleochroism. Tanzanite has various colors, including pink, pink purple, gold, yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue-purple
In this post I share various colors of tanzanite.
These tanzanite not been treated and have pleochroism.

I love those colours.

I had no idea they came in different colours
So thanks for posting =)2

The round one is absolutely mesmerising!

You have a TDF collection, do you plan to set these in jewelry or just collect??

I love the purple blue oval. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy multi-coloured tanzanite?

All Untreated Tanzanite has multi-colour,So you just need to look for untreated tanzanite. Untreated tanzanite also have various colors. It also takes some luck to buy the gems you like. good luck !

IG premiergemstones seems to have a new one every day. All look TDF. I know nothing about this guy and have never contacted him. Lots of trichroic-looking multi-ct stones. Nothing quite as spectacular as that oval one from @landscape above tho...

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that Inken (Enhoerning) can source fine tanzanite

I love the blends of the colors - reminds me of watercolors.

You still need a chrome-green one;)2

I have to say, I like unheated Tanzanite more so than heated ones, precisely because of the pleochroism.

So are you saying if a blue/purple tanzanite flashes reds and pinks, it’s not heat treated? I thought any stone that was the vivid blue color was heat treated (but I’m no expert).

Heated tanzanite will still have in most cases 3 colors, it can be difficult to see them however. Heating burns off the honey brown and grey colors, but the blue, purple and other colors can still be seen, but not as pronounced as unheated material.
