Tanzanite

I have seen some tanzanites with these crazy rainbow colour. Why are these tanzanites showing multicolour? What are their names?

I heard them being called fancy colored tanzanites.

They are unheated bi or parti colored tanzanites. They turn blue when you heat them but that's how tanzanites usually look unheated or an even brown or olive green.

Yes, these are unheated. I have stared at this petrol color-combo for a while, but then it was sold before I could decide:

Yes these are great gems. Some call them Mardi gras tanzanite (blue/green/yellow). As I saw the last months, there are coming more and more "fancy colored" tanzanites in the market. They are great and there are very cool color combinations available. The blue/purple high marketed tanzanite is getting boring, so watch out, there are really great colors and color combinations out there in this variety!

The first two stones pictured in this thread, I wouldn't expect heating to change them much if any. The stones that heat to a nice blue, are the root beer colored. Green doesn't change, and light stones will never turn into a deep blue.

Though typically it is the brownish colors that change blue, and that not every tanzanite with turn into a bright blue, greens can also turn blue.
