Tapio - Lost/misplaced tie pin with blue 14.83 star sapphire

Hi Coloured gem friends. I'm afraid I've lost/misplaced a tie pin. I have no idea if this is this appropriate forum for it. It was lost while I was in the Canadian City of Toronto for a weekend. Maybe this note is to dealers in the vicinity to keep a look out if someone tries to bring this in to "hock". It is very simple: a white and yellow gold heraldic pin with the blue star sapphire (AGTA natural/unheated stone) in the centre. Cut:good. Asterism: well centred. Asterism: medium. Beautiful sky blue. No other stones. 42 grams of gold. It is like the one on my signature picture, but no tsavorite or diamonds. One would never miss the design if you saw it. There is a reward.

Did you mean to post in the Color Stones forum? If so you might want to get the mods to move this thread.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone finds it and turns it in.

Have you alerted the police? Most police services circulate pictures/descriptions of stolen items at pawn shops and gold buyers, who are usually under some sort of constraint to actually look at and respect the list. I am not sure of how all the details work, though.

I’m so sorry about it being missing; it’s a good idea to check with the local pawn shops, jewellers and also, perhaps file a report with the police. “Mods” is the short form for moderators.
