While I was visiting my dad last week, we started talking about tatoos and what an interesting phenomenon they are. So, I''ve been paying more attention. I''m sitting outside working on a document at the moment and I just saw a big burly man walk by in jean shorts and a tank top (do they call those ''wife beaters?'') with a true classic on his shoulder. It was a puffy heart with wings on it, and it said, I swear to God:

''Daddy''s Little Girl''

He must have lost a bet or something. Lord I hope so!

Anyone else have favourite funny or weird tatoo sightings?

I have a client who brought his girlfriend along to view some properties a few weekends ago. She was wearing super low cut hip huggers and a camasole top that ended pretty high. And in between was *most* of a very large tiger.

After a few hours I felt like we were far enough along in the relationship that I could ask some questions (after all, it''s not like she was trying to *hide* the thing). I started with the obvious: "So, did that *hurt*?" Her response: "Only when they got up here," and she proceesd to pull her camasole top WAY UP to show me one of the raised paws of the tiger that was right under her, um, breast. Then, the boyfriend chimes in proudly: "And that tiger goes the *whole way down* if you know what I mean," as he starts to pull the waistband of her already too low pants down farther and farther.

Fortunately the elevator doors opened at that point and we got off, so I never did find out exactly how *low* that tiger does go, but I''m sure if given a few more floors I would be perfectly clear on it...

An old boss of mine had a tree that ummmm started at HER "roots" if you know what I mean and extended up her entire torso...

OMG!!!

I never did ever see it, but a good friend of mine claimed that he ex-bf had a tatoo on his butt cheek that said "Make a joyful noise"...and couldn''t understand why she found it hilarious

I think he may have lost his daughter.

Forte Kitty: Oh my, I hadn''t thought of that. How sad.

correct that is what it means.
A buddy of mine is a tattoo artist....

Oh man, I love bad tattoos! A guy I know actually got a pot leaf tattoo when he was 14! Hahahaha...he got it covered up with a terrible tribal thing but you can still see the pot leaf underneath. Plus he has a big peace sign tattoo on his forearm from when he was around the same age. Hilarious!

That''s what I thought too as soon as I read this.

I worked at a bakery when I was in HS and there was one guy who came in pretty frequenty...

He had a neck tattoo that was a dotted line all the way around, and in the front of his throat it said "Cut Here"

Soooo creepy! And in such a bad location...no covering that baby up!

These tats and stories are hilarious! (except for the one)

I have never understood the desire to tatoo a picture of someone on your body. As in a handdrawn artists rendition of someone, often a child or boyfriend/girlfriend. I always think, why not just carry a photo in your wallet. Do you really need it tatooed on your body??

Oh, and it seems like the kiss of death on a relationship would be to tatoo their name on your body. There, you just doomed the relationship.

But then again, I''m not a fan of tatoos.

I have a friend who got ''Little Miss Giggles'' tatooed just above her hip when she was about 15. Just about exactly where she''ll expand if she gets pregnant. She''s now thinking about marriage and kids, and I can''t wait to see what happens to Little Miss G.''s cute pigtailed giggly face when she starts to stretch! Silly Putty anyone?

I''m feeling so badly now about that man''s daughter. And to think I was laughing!

My assistant has a tattoo that she designed herself. It''s the outline of lots of insects and butterflies and goes from one shoulder right down her back and onto her hip. It''s very nicely done - but I keep wanting to get my felt-tips out and colour it in!

Never wanted to get one myself - but thought it would be a fun job to do them.

Oh, don''t. You had no idea. I didn''t either. We both learned something new today.

Along these lines, I''ve seen a couple of tatoos on larger guys that said mama''s boy or similar phrases like I heart mom...

Don''t feel bad. I did not know it that either. I learned something new today as well.

The most popular tattoo in the US for guys is a heart with mom in it or under it.
skull is second and a cross is third and dagger 4th.
With the Ladies its a tie between a rose and a butterfly
