Ha! That''s the same conversation my bf and I have, too. He thinks my definition of "soon" is within the hour. I think his idea of "soon" is 3 months.

If I said, "I''ll be over soon" but didn''t show up for 3 months, don''t you think he''d be just a little bit upset???

HA! i am SOO using that next time he says "soon".

especially becuase i took (1 hour) longer getting over to a friends house and he got concerned becuase it took longer than normal.


except, his idea of "soon" is 6month to a year.

how is a year soon??

yeah. my boyfriend has a skewed definition of "soon," too. i think soon means different things to him, so it can conveniently mean whatever he wants.

Definition of "soon" according to my FI after I told him a 12-18 months was NOT SOON AT ALL: 6 months

Definition of "very soon" according to my FI: 1 month

Definition of "very soon" according to me: within the next 24-48 hours

They have no concept of what soon means! I''m happy for you that your FF seems to be keen on marriage and willing to "talk" about it. That is a HUGE step .

that is too funny. after i told boyf that his idea of soon (6-12 months) was NOT soon, he changed it to "awhile"
