The diamond is in the house...

My parents came in this week to visit from Las Vegas and dropped off the ring with BF! This ring means a lot to me since it was my grandmothers, and also my grandmother's mother.

We got it cleaned and appraised, now it's just sitting in a drawer in the apartment where I can't touch it until BF proposes. He says it'll be within the year, so I have potentially a long wait, but damn is it pretty! He's going to get a safe deposit box to keep it in! Then I won't be able to drool over it on a daily basis....

It's 2.5 CT J VS1 round diamond. It's sparkly! BF and I were trying to take pictures last night, but they weren't coming out very well

Hopefully I can show it off once we can get the whole macro camera thing down!

BF pulled out his white LED lights last night because that makes diamonds sparkle like there''s no tomorrow, but I think the lack of daylight was just making it hard to get a good shot.

We got ONE good shot, but the problem is that our internet is down at home, and I only have it at work, so I can''t post pics from home til Thursday.

I will try like hell to get some pics up very, very soon!

Yay!! How exciting!!! BF is "mean" for making you wait possibly a whole year. But SOOO Exciting!!! Maybe he can keep it in a locked glass case so you can drool over it and leave nose prints in the glass. Hee hee

And I really don''t mean that your BF is mean. I just hope you don''t have to wait THAT LONG! If you do, maybe the nose prints will help tide you over....

Haha.. it''s not SOOO mean that BF is making me wait because I am still not done with school until next April. Just kind of mean.

BUT.. I''d be surprised if he could hold onto that for another whole year. He really wants to surprise me so I think he''ll try and time it for when I least expect it...

BF emailed me this one from work, I know it''s not an AWESOME picture, but its the best I can do for now.

Plus, it''s not all the way on my finger, and it''s on my pinky. BF doesn''t want it on "the finger" until it''s for real.
