I had the worst time picking out a dress - I am a girly girl, but I am apparently not a "bridey" bride. I did not want ribbons and lace and beads and embroidery and all of that. . .and it was so hard to find options without it! Also, I am claustrophobic and don''t like crowds so dress shopping was sort of torture. THE dress was literally the last one I tried on in the last store we were going to. . .and I was almost in tears by the time we got there because I was so frustrated.

Bearing in mind that the sample was 2 sizes too big and that I''m in the process of losing weight so as not to be stay-puff-marshmallow-bride, here it is:

I think it will look fabulous once fitted properly! Any more pics of the bottom or the back???

I wish! We were not really supposed to take pics, but my associate let us when the manager stepped away. . . It''s an A-line and the back has a row of buttons covering the zipper. Very simple.

Thank you so much! I worried a little bit that I settled or something because I was so sick of dress shopping. . . but I don''t think that;s true.

Well, only you really know the answer to the question. But from the outside, no, the dress is very nice, and I like styles that do that thing at the waist. It will look great when it's fitted.

I think it''s lovely! Perfectly simple without being boring.

I think that the style of the dress looks awesome on you, and like everyone else said, it will look amazing once it''s fitted properly. It really looks like a beautiful dress. And once you put it on and it actually fits you and feels more like it''s YOURS, I think you will feel more confident in your choice.

I think it''s lovely! Once it''s fitted correctly, it will be gorgeous- I love the side thing going on also.

That dress will be stunning!! Are you planning to wear pearls with it, or something nice and blingy? You have so much room to accessorize with such a classic dress

Ditto! I think that once it''s fitted it will be perfect.

I like it. It looks elegant.

Ooooh...I like that neckline on you! Can''t wait to see it fitted...

You are all so nice! Thank you for your reassurance and feedback. . .

I don''t know if you can see them because they are really small, but I will be wearing the pearls in the picture - my grandfather gave them to me so they have personal meaning. . .I knew I would be wearing my pearls before I knew anything else! I am looking for more dramatic earrings and some blingy hairpins to spice things up. . . I want to wear my hair like this:

or like this:

but without flowers. .. I thing I''d prefer a few scattered hair pins instead - any ideas?

I''ll be wearing these shoes, but dyed a different blue.

I can see it all coming together, beautiful!! Hmmm instead of the pins, would you consider like a barrette in your hair? Either way there are some great pins and barrettes here: White Aisle

I had thought of pins kind of where the flowers are - or randomly scattered. . . where do you think I would put a barrette? on the side?

I was looking for hairpins shaped like stars, but I''ve had no luck at all so I''m sort of at a loss hair accessory wise. . . I like the stuff at white aisle (Thanks for the link!), but nothing really jumped out at me, you know?

Anybody have other thoughts/suggestions?
