That''s it for now! Please forgive my banged up hand; I got into a battle with a filing cabinet drawer and let''s just say the drawer won...

That was soooo sweet of you to offer her to try it on. You''re such a class act!!!

Thanks all! And your comments are so funny about offering to let her try it on--don't you gals do that? I offer my ring up pretty regularly to whoever is looking at it. I think every single person in my doctor's and dentit's offices as well as pretty much anyone who works in any Starbucks within 10 miles of my house has had at least one of my rings on at this point. Then there's the dog walker and the lady who works in my receiving room and about half of the real estate agents in Chicago... I guess I just think if I wanted to see a ring I would get a better view of it on my own hand than trying to malipulate some stranger's hand in an effort to get a good look, so I just let them go at it.

Wow...just wow

The new pictures are great & I''m so glad it''s finally back on your FINGER!! Also -- I''d just like to say that I''m so INTIMATELY acquainted with your ring now I''m suprised I never needed a speculum ... BTW ... the ring''s pap came up clean!

ROFLMAO!!! And that clean bill of health is a relief, especially considering how many fingers it's been on at this point.

(That was my fear though--that everyone would have had more than their fill by now. I will have to think of something interesting to do with it this weekend or else it will just be more and more and more of the same... )

NO CHANCE!!!!! It''s calorie-free & available for eye-candy-gorging 24/7 ... what could be better than that!

I was actually kinda laughing at myself for inspecting the photos so CAREFULLY!

Oh wow that baby is a stunner!

Of course it is hard to see all of the detail in photos, but it sure looks perfect on your hand. And you certainly are a celebrity here on pricescope!!!

I am so glad your tribulations are over and you have your dream ring back where it belongs. There is a lot to be said for calm, cool-headed presentation of the facts. You had to wait a little, but pat yourself on the back for that one!

deejay, the new pics look fabulous and the milgrain on the traps looks perfecto now. I too can''t wait for more pictures..

DeeJay!!! The new pics are great!!! I think your ring looks so fab! It is really to die for. I thought it looked great before with the stone higher, but, if at all possible, it is more perfect now!!! The milgrain is like nothing I''ve ever seen before. It''s so fine, almost like a tiny little rope instead of just bumps.......OOOOOOOHHHHHH I love it!!!!!!

Your ring is so stunning!!!! If the men on this forum feel anything like my boyfriend, they must be pretty nervous about finding a ring for those of us who see yours as perfection!!!

Ringplease, if it''s any consolation to the men my happy hubby (then fiance) gave me an engagement ring that I loved and wore for over seven years, but I actually paid for my upgraded stone and the Kelege setting with $ that I made all by myself at a second job. So no need for them to be scared, LOL!

BTW gals, now I''m totally stressed out about what to do for pics this weekend that will be "different" somehow than the million that I''ve already posted. Flowers are an option but I''ll have to look around the house and see if we have anything interesting to use...

Beautiful pics, DJ!!!! I''m so happy that you''re happy!!!

Thanks Dee Jay. That should give my boyfriend some hope!!! I am currently in Medical School so someday I may just have to do my own upgrade!!

Also, you mentioned you had looked at the Imperial Crown Collection from Kelege. I am trying to find a Southern California vendor that carries some Kelege settings to take a look but it is a challenge. I was wondering if you knew about what that setting cost. I can't get get a quote over the phone from them and the only one I have actually seen was similar and $9K for the setting. Thanks.

Ringplease, I believe that the Kelege setting you like *retails" for a bit over $9K. If I recall correctly my jeweler quoted me an out the door price of about $6,500.

ETA: You know there are two versions of that ring, right? There is the one that you can see the profile of in the ad and there is also a version that sits much lower against your finger and that would not accommodate a wedding band sitting flush, but they are identical from the top view. (I have a pic of the second version somewhere if you want to see it). Just a helpful tip in case you do end up ordering over the phone so that you aren't surprised if the wrong thing shows up at your jeweler...

beautiful ring ! your outgoing personality shines thru and your openess to let strangers try on your ring is very sweet.

Crown, what a nice compliment--thank you!

The sister of one of my clients fell in love with my ring (back when it was in its last setting with the pears) and when we all went out to dinner one night I let her wear it the entire time. She went to the ladies room so often that we finally we asked her if she was ok. She said that she was having such a good time looking at it in the mirror with the bathroom lights, and she got compliments on it from every other lady in the restroom, that she couldn't resist going back time after time. I set her up with one of my other clients for a date, but I warned him ahead of time that she's already got high jewelry hopes so he would know that the bar's been set, LOL!
