The "final product" is FINISHED!!!! (aka- my ring is re-set!)

But I couldn''t help but post, as I''m SOOO excited! I feel like I could throw up- really.

FI got the call that it was done on THURSDAY (Grrr!) He''s currently in Ohio to be in his best friend''s wedding, was a little tipsy after the rehearsal dinner, and spilled the beans. He worked Thurs/Fri and didn''t have time to run to the jeweler, plus he knew I wanted to go as a duo. (I have to approve it, after all! If it''s not perfect, I''m not leavin'' the store!

)

I''ll post pictures as soon as I get them. I guess when the consultant called FI she said, "It''s absolutely GORGEOUS!"

I''m certain they say it to everyone, but it makes my heart go pitter-pat!

Monday is the day. When you see this thread ''bumped''... you''ll know the bling has arrived

Gahhhhh... So FI gave me permission to go to the jeweler and pick it up, even though he''s out of town. (I couldn''t wait!!!)

It was a size 6.

My ring finger is 7.5.

It wouldn''t even fit over my knuckle

And THEN- Little Miss Sales Lady blames FI for the mistake!!! "Oh, I called him and asked for your ring size and he never called me back..."
#1. He says she didn''t call and ask... he''s a pretty truthful guy
#2 I was in the store 1.5 weeks earlier to approve the wax model & gave her my ''stats'' so-to-speak, and made changes to the design
#3 IF SHE DIDN''T KNOW WHAT SIZE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE, SHE SHOULDN''T HAVE ALLOWED THE RING-MAKING TO COMMENCE!
#4 They f*cked up the bezel... (miligrain detail & bead-set diamonds, which we didn''t want...)

I know I''m being totally fiancezilla right now, but FI didn''t propose with the setting for a REASON. So that I could go in, ''approve,'' and it would be made to our exact specifications. It''s just frustrating... I want my ring

But anyway... jeweler wont be in until Monday, so hopefully they''ll correct the mistakes and it will be done by Friday. She made it a ''rush'' job. w/e.

I can''t help but be peeved. You spend tons of money on a custom setting, have more than one consults to perfect the unfinished product, and then the finished product is far different from what it was supposed to be. GAH. Sorry for the vent, ladies.
