Can I try? I''m a total newbie here and at this, but here''s a couple of my first attempts at capturing X-factor fire....

Does this one count as fire, or is it just light reflecting? Either way I thought it was pretty.

Another one....it''s so hard to capture those big fiery sparks I see shooting off of it outside! I think I should try when the sun is right overhead instead of late in the day, seems like it will be easier to hold the camera steady from above.

Pretty subtle, but I thought it was cool that I was able to capture some fire off one of the little bitty side diamonds.

Hi renae! Yes, I think that second one qualifies, I see the faintest hint of green at the edges.

Ellen, you really got some amazing pictures. I wish I knew how you did it. I just love the shots that you took in the car! I''d be staring at that thing alllllllllll the time hubby would probably take away my license, lol! Great shots of when it was unset too! Looks like you were having quite a bit of fun there!!

I had to laugh at the part about not getting far without a compliment. I got my first one from a stranger just the other day, and I was so excited someone actually noticed and remarked on it. People around here rarely say anything, for a variety of reasons.
