My boyfriend proposed last weekend at the Eiffel Tower, clique place to get engaged but the moment was right! He actually didn't get down on one knee as to not attract attention which I appreciated so it was very sweet. My ring is from JA and I picked out the diamond with the knowledge gained from this forum!

My fiance worked with him personally to bring this personalized creation to life and I couldn't be happier or more honored to wear it. 1.23 ct. center stone with 1/2 ct. trillions and a custom platinum knife edge setting. All I can say is WOW!

Well, I'll re-use it - in that it will be melted down and the metal will be re-used. But ultimately, it will probably be a halo or a three stone. The center stone in the 3 stone in my avatar will be upgraded and turned into a plain solitaire at some point, and this smaller diamond will 'fill its spot' as the three stone in my jewelry box. Everything that goes around comes around....

Hi @Sparkles88 I'm sure DKJ would make you just a setting - I seem to remember them having done that a number of times in the past. Are you outside the US?

I don't have any profile shots of this setting to hand, but I initially had this setting made for a 2.5ct diamond, and here are some photos of that setting. Same setting - just a bit bigger, and I have to say, for something plain - this is my all time favorite solitaire setting. Something about the curve of the arms.

@mrs-b I just emailed David a few days ago about resetting my tapered diamond engagement ring. I would like it to be a six prong with tapered baguettes I have in my present setting and this looks close to what I want but with the addition of the baguettes. I just had this setting made last year...I’m just not happy with it.I don’t like the stabilizing bar and lots of people have told me it was necessary to keep it from bending..what was your experience?
This is my setting now..It’s just too low and squished. It’s 2.03 but looks smaller in the side view becaus the setting swallowed it up. What are your thoughts?

The setting is from Brilliant Earth. It is the Imogen setting in 14k rose gold.
The diamond is also from Brilliant Earth
0.85 Carat, Round, Super Ideal Cut, H
Color, IF Clarity, 6.14 x 6.12 x 3.73mm lab diamond
We chose this diamond over the .90 to 1ct I color SI1 to VS1 they had available as the price point was the same and I was so worried about the IGI rating being too broad. HCA tool was a huge help as well! No regrets I am in love with this ring almost as much as the man who gave it to me.

@msop04 It’s a Brian Gavin 3/4 eternity band with 14 .15 point diamonds. They only had .05 diamonds listed but I wanted them a little bigger...

I hope that all the dear people on PS, who contribute to these boards with photos of their amazing pieces, enjoy their bling to the maximum and always wear it in good health.

Not sure if I’ve yet posted this iteration of my oval. Almost embarrassed to say this is my third setting for this beauty .. I’m having a Goldie Locks moment with this diamond and nothing is “just right”. This has sat on consignment for a year with a local jeweller and just picked her up again yesterday ... I was disappointed with the lack of sale at first but then remembered how she sparkles, have to say that I’m happy to have this diamond back.

I’m enjoying wearing it for now and plan to have her reset in yellow gold sometime in the (hopefully!) near future.
