Hi! I've never done a SMBT! And, thank you!!

Engagement Ring: GIA 1.6 ct J SI1 OEC center with 2 OMC flanking. I was told the entire ring + setting is original Victorian, it certainly has some wear and tear.

Five stone CVB Norah: I decided to get this partially based on Pricescope stalking! Approx. 1.5 tcw. I honestly don't know the specs because four stones came from two pairs of hand-me-down earrings and the center stone was purchased from Caysie!

Thank you. The blue sapphire halo and diamond ring is an original Art Deco piece, I bought it from Ivy & Rose.

Thank you! I just got the Juli diamond cleaner brush. It’s overpriced ($128 with the coupon they give) but so much easier and more portable than my usual routine of ultrasonic and steamer!

When I was looking for an upgrade i was torn between staying with 6 prong or going to four prong.

Diamondhoarder, I have a question every 12 minutes. What is a Prince cut? It looks like the Ashoka cut on the Kwiat website. I've seen something similar called a Typhoon cut. It's not a Daussi, is it?

Thanks :) To answer your question, the Prince Cut is a variation on an emerald cut which features additional scissor facets on the pavillion steps. It has some similarities to the Ashoka and also the emerald crisscut. Here is the GIA plot diagram for a Prince Cut:

I have always been drawn to diamonds with more unusual facet pattern arrangements, and I especially love the "scissor cut" look that some of the branded diamonds that emerged in the last 20 years show. So I have been on the lookout for my perfect scissor cut syle diamond for a good few years...
