I had my 1.4 ct EGL L Si1 transitional cut reset into an emerald target halo setting. So excited and wanted to share!

Wow! Beautiful! The colour of those emeralds is stunning, and with your transitional cut its a really eyecatching look.

Ive been thinking about a step cut with an emerald halo, its such a beautiful look. But one thing that has made me hesitate is how to keep the diamond clean enough for maximum performance whilst protecting the emeralds. I usually use an ultrasonic but they are not safe to use with emeralds. How are you planning to care for yours?

I know what you mean. I love my ultrasonic! I was planning to clean this one with mild dishsoap and an old toothbrush and just hope I can keep it clean enough. I'll definitely be taking it off more, especially if I'm doing anything messy, using lotion, etc.

The eightstar is actually set in a bead set band, not channel set.

What are your ring engagement shopping tips? I can see a ring online for a fantastic deal. A ring shopper for the first time and I saw if there was something I could know before I went to see it in person. Something will be useful! I am looking at crystals for engagement ring i have an urgent need for them.

As much as I love my Emilya halo and will go back to it eventually—Old habits are hard to break and Reset-itis struck again. Lol.

@nala - I feel as tho you're swinging between 2 perfect settings now! You cannot POSSIBLY go wrong with either of these! I love this three stone and its proportions - and I love the Emilya also! Two fabulous options!

Never! The Emilya is my holy grail! But she is very high maintenance meaning that now that I’m stuck at home, I couldn’t feel comfortable just wearing her around! It’s like she is sooo precious and beautiful that I didn’t like going out for jogs, sticking my hands in my pockets while on a winter walk—little things on the day-to-day that made me worry that could cause her damage! Since I didn’t go thru VC for the purchase, I didn’t want to damage her bc he wouldn’t repair her for me. So. I’m sacrificing until I go back to work bc at that point—if anything happens, it will be well worth it!

@nala, that is exactly what I thought as well. This 3-stone setting is blingtastic but a little more casual and easier to wear than your Emilya. That is why I'm resetting my 1.8 ct solitaire into a 3-stone for the more casual days. My larger pave solitaire would be better when I return to the work at the office and don't have to cook/clean etc.
