I've been a lurker here but this thread has really made me appreciate "smaller" diamonds. Here's my semi-new ring!
.75 center stone/H/IF/Ex
MY E-RING!!! And in the meantime as I was waiting my hand forged 14k pink gold stacker (1.3mm full round) band from Etsy arrived (http://www.etsy.com/shop/RainaLeeStudios?ref=seller_info). So here are pictures of it too!
I'm in LOVE with this little ring! It is soooo petite and just lovely and so sparkly pink too! She did a great job making it and I highly recommend her. I received the ring very quick too! I'd love to have one done in platinum as my wedding band, maybe a little thicker, I think (not sure she works with plat). But I like how it just tucks under my ring!
Here is the link to the story and pictures of what it looked like before I sent it back to be fixed https://www.pricescope.com/communit...t-got-my-ring-but-has-to-be-sent-back.160443/
From a distance (my normal perspective) the prongs look fairly dainty (no Leon Mege that's for sure) but they are no longer all i see. In the close up pictures they still look heavy, and honestly they still are not what I had envisioned. BUT having said that, like other PS'ers mentioned; not every jeweler is capable of making these super dainty prongs.
I think they did a good job with the talons and setting the diamond, I know they were so worried about strength and didn't want to go too thin on the prongs.
They also straightened out the prongs from where they start at the shank - honestly I think that they re-made the whole head when I look at it. There used to be a bit of a gap between the diamond and the prongs as they came up from the donut, but now it all looks so flush like the prongs are gripping the diamond.
They also elongated the prongs quiet a bit so they follow the shape of the cushion nicely.
Over all I am pretty happy, a little part of my thinks that I'll probably be having the ring re-set in 5 years anyway! Maybe a Leon halo creation!! I'll start dreaming now!!

So... My fiance purposed one week ago today. Today is actually our 1 year anniversary, so I was expecting it today and he suprised me by doing it a whole week early. We are both still in college, going into our final semesters, and he is absolutely perfect for me, but given that we are both broke college kids, I really wasn't expecting much of anything (and was fine with that) and was totally stunned when he presented me with this ring. I know it's far from perfect to a lot of the people on this website who have 3 carat diamonds, but its way more than I expected and I'm excited nontheless. Not to mention, it's super sentimental. We started dating on May 26 and we will be getting married on May 26 of next year (one year from today!!! AHH!) and he made sure that the combined number of diamonds in my wedding and engagement ring set is... 26 And on top of that, the total carat weight of my engagement ring is 2.6 Sorry in advance for all of the photos... it's probably way over the top. I'm just really excited.
stats on the ring(s):

For Mother's Day, DH and the kids got me a Cartier Trinity ring. It's very, very tiny- so much that I didn't know if I liked it at first. I've been wearing it as my wedding ring, though it was purchased for my right hand.

Even though I only trolled all the posts and not participated, the PriceScope community helped solidify what I already wanted to get for an engagement ring (Princess Cut / Knife Edge), which I just received today. The spec's are:
Shape: Princess
Carat weight: 0.90
Cut: Premium
Color: F
Clarity: VS1
Certificate: GIA
Janae: I'm sitting here obsessing about my prongs now! If it helps I think that your prongs are a big improvement and I'm sooo jealous of that cushion! It's stunning!

My ring arrived on friday so I thought I would share a few pics before its sent off to the appraiser. Sorry no hand shots until the boyfriend proposes !
Thanks to the Good Old Gold staff who were extremely easy to work with and to Jonathan for creating these beautiful cushions whose big broad flashes of light literally take my breath away.
A big thank you to Steven Kirsch who created this gorgeous heirloom and who went above and beyond to make sure I was 100 % happy with my ring . I would have never dreamed that tapered carre cuts would look so beautiful with my AVC!

I finally got my IDJ eternity band and it is BETTER than I could have dreamed. It is PERFECT!!!
The stones are SO WHITE!!! I was worried that next to the ACA melee in my e-ring and my E color stone, that it wouldn't look good. I have been staring at it for days now and it looks just as white and sparkly (if not more) in ALL lighting. IDJ has honestly out done themselves. And as usual, Luann has been a doll!! I ordered the ring and it was ready a week later.
It's size 6.5
Made with 10 pointers, 21 stones, 2.10ctw
F-G
SI1 (completely eye clean---can not see ANYTHING!! Even looks clean with a loupe)
Perfectly cut stones--can even see arrows (thanks to the posters who taught me about them when I bought my Huggies!)
Set very low (I asked her to make it like Dani's)

I've been lurking for months, but I finally signed up so that I can show off my new engagement ring! My boyfriend proposed last Sunday, and I love my ring so much.
The center stone is a 1.42 OEC, I color and VS2 clarity. It's from San Francisco Provident Loan, and they were amazing to deal with (I've seen Ben, the manager there, about once every 2 weeks for the past several months throughout the ring process). Like many older stones, this one faces up really white.
The setting was designed by my boyfriend and then custom made in San Francisco. It's set in platinum, and I was able to pick out the side stones so they fit my picky tastes (they are H color, VS2 clarity). There are 4 diamonds on either side, with two tiny surprise diamonds. Hopefully you can see the delicate milgrain and engraving in the pictures - it was all done by hand and there is so much tiny detail on all three sides of the ring. My fiance's wedding ring will have the same engraving on it so that our rings will match.
It's a fireball, and I'd love to get some more pictures that show it off, but it's been really overcast in California the past couple of days.

I think I may have set some kind of lurking record, but I had to share some pictures of my AVC. I've had it for about a year now (I know, shame on me) and I'm completely in love with it. I have to say a huge thank you to everyone on Pricescope because without all of you I never would have known about AVCs! I'd also like to thank Jon for taking the time to answer all of my questions and for making it unbelievably easy and stress-free to purchase a diamond, sight unseen, from across the country.

Hi Pricescopers!
I haven't had time to do a real photo shoot with the ring so please excuse the lack of pictures. But I have the most important ones: hand shots!
Rock stats:
Weight: 2.63
Color: K
Clarity: VS1
Optical Symmetry: August Vintage
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Ideal
Width: 7.93mm
Length: 8.36mm
Depth: 5.37mm
Table Percentage: 48.70%
Depth Percentage: 67.70%
Ring stats: LM five stone setting, double claws on the center stone, with traps and bullets bezel set (and milgrained!). I was planning to go with french cut sides, as are all the rage around here, but LM suggested the traps and bullets because the visual difference would be negligible and a lot less costly than cutting new frenchies.

I received this sapphire as a gift from my husband to celebrate the birth of our 2nd child. The stone is a 1.5 carat unheated padparadscha, purchased from Richard Wise.
After seeing PS examples of Steven Kirsch's amazing work, I sent the stone to him to be set in this platinum/diamond halo (ring size 4.25). Customer service was wonderful and Steven's attention to detail impeccable. The ring is gorgeous !

these are my boss' "everyday" earrings. Needless to say, she has a pretty amazing jewelry collection ! I don't know all the specs on these, sorry! They are about 2.5ctw, and I believe the center stones are about 1ct each. Sorry about the scary ear pictures--I don't think I have ever seen my ears so close-up!

I got my asscher back last week in its new setting! I previously had a 1.5mm pave shank and felt that it was too delicate so I had the stone set in an identical setting but with a 2.1mm shank. Anyway, I feel that asschers and EC's get a tough rap when it comes to fire and brilliance so I wanted to show just what these pretties are capable of! AND of course invite all of my fellow asscher and EC lovers to post pics of theirs as well!!
OK with that said I am still a newbie around here and apologize in advance for not knowing how to post mulitple pics in one post, and I'll apologize again for the number of pictures that I'm going to post......but I'm soooo in love with this ring and you all said that I could shamelessly show it off!
Oh yeah my specs are...
carat weight 1.01
clarity VVS1
color I
measurements 5.76 x 5.44 x 3.66
l/w 1.06 (tech. an EC not an asscher but still quite square)
flouresence none
table 66
depth 67.3
the setting has .32 of .02 melee although a few of the pics show the diamond in my old setting which had .20 of .01 melee

Hi everyone. I have been lurking for a few months and have thoroughly been enjoying reading the posts and seeing everyone's beautiful jewelry. My DH and I are about to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We decided to upgrade my original wedding set to a new one (just started looking) and we chose to reset my original marquis in a new modern setting to wear on my right hand. I googled unique marquis settings and found an inspiration picture I really loved. It had several wavy bands with the marquis set horizontally. I kind of likened the wavy bands to the many roads we have taken in our marriage, some bumpy and some smooth. Anyway, I took the picture and my ring into a local custom jeweler and after tweaking it a bit for me the jeweler came up the ring below. I love that I was able to keep the original center stone (.50 ct., SI 2, G) and accent diamonds my husband picked out from me when he was a poor college student and turn them into something new. (Please forgive my novice picture taking skills.). Now I look forward to the hunt for a new ring and band. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/new-here-first-post-custom-redo.161639/

Hi everyone! After seemingly endless months of research and waiting, the e-ring is finally here!!
Center stone is a 3 ctw / AGS0 / I / SI2. OK, OK, so it's 2.995 ctw...close enough
Setting is Tacori 2565RD9. I wanted the stone set almost flush with the setting, but that aspect was limited by the depth of the stone, so it's sitting in a low position. Had to model it on my pinky because my ring finger is too fat
The big date is less than 2 weeks away...EEK I'M SO ANXIOUS!! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this wonderful forum!
