Hi, I wanted to shamelessly share some pics of an e-ring I just picked up. Pricescope was a great resource for me in finding a vendor! My grandfather was in the business, but has retired and I consider myself very lucky in finding this place.

The center stone is a 2.6 ct H SI-1, AGS 0, HCA under 2 and all that. It falls just short of H&A; you can see some flagging on the bottom 2 arrows.

First off, SHE SAID YES!

That was just over a week ago and after having to rush around organising a venue for the wedding I finally have some time to share the ring the I had custom made. First off, thanks for the help I received here, especially DiamondSeeker2006 who showed me a cool looking prong design in my design thread here. I would also like the thank the team at Whiteflash, particularly Joe the designer as he had to deal with my perfectionist personality.

So the ring has a G, VS2, 1.25ct centre stone and the band is made from platinum. I couldn't be happier with the ring and more importantly my fiancée thinks it is the best ring she has ever seen and can't stop staring at it.

So without further ado, here are the pictures.

It's here... boy it's been a long journey and I have learned so much but it is a beautiful ending...

1.30 AGS000
G/VS2
Sareen Platinum Setting

Many, many thanks to Tim Andres at Emma Parker Jewelry in Seattle who answered endless questions, emails, phone calls and some at crazy hours and through it all guided me in the right places.. Bounced ideas at me and back at me... Many thanks to Adam, the true talent in the end results, at Sareen who sent samples for me to try on and then made changes and more changes.. so I could have exactly what I wanted...

I will try and load the pictures in the right order.. I am horrible with the camera.. but I promise some better photographs soon...

Tim would have taken them if I would have let him.. but I asked Adam to send the ring straight to me.. he only had my ring a week.. they did it with amazing speed and we still have a whole 31 days before the wedding.. but who's counting!!! Bring on the parties.. I am ready to go in style!!!!

I lurked. I researched. I lurked some more and researched some more. Finally, it was time for me to take the plunge. After purchasing the stone from Engagement Rings Direct, I went around the corner to meet with Steven Kirsch, whose work for other PSers I had seen on this website. My goal was an antique setting that would match the stone that I had purchased. I went to him with various pictures of other settings and discussed my ideas for the engagement ring, which was to be comprised of little tidbits from the different settings that I had seen. In retrospect, I am sure that my ring design sounded like some sort of setting jambalaya, but SK took mercy upon me, said that he understood and refrained from raising an eyebrow and looking at me crazily. The bottom line was that I wanted the setting to speak to her and for her to know that this piece was designed specifically for her by me. I asked Steven to make this ring his own and turn my ideas into his own masterpiece. He assured me that it would come together and just... "work".

Well, I finally picked up his creation and to be honest, it almost brought a tear to my eye. It was more stunning (to me) than I expected, and I pray that she loves it as much as I do.

I want to thank Chris (and Mark) at ERD for their patience and help in picking this stone. Also, I want to thank all of the people on this website who (1) directly commented on my posts during this process or (2) shared their stories and expertise without which I never could have achieved such a great result. It was reassuring to have you guys along for the ride. And lastly.....Steven Kirsch. The result speaks for itself.

So.......here it is:

Alright, I'm new here to the board. I've seen some very beautiful and impressive diamond rings on the site. Figured it was now time for me to show my fiancee's engagement ring which she has no idea is coming!

It's GIA certified, excellent cut, H color, vs1, 1.4 c.

What do y'all think? Will she be happy? I can't wait to give it to her!!!

And here's the diamond (not in setting yet)...

Recently my mother gave me a 1 ct. family diamond that was appraised as H VVS. It was a good quality stone but poorly cut. It bothered me to have one diamond that was so poorly cut in comparison to my H&A stones. So I sent the diamond to Brian Gavin to see if it could be re-cut. He said it would probably end up around 6mm and .80, and that was fine with me to get a much more beautiful stone to hand down to my daughter!

Many thanks to Jamie who is always a pleasure to work with, and of course, to Brian and Lesley for their excellent diamonds and jewelry! I am proud to add this piece to my little collection!

I've been married for nearly three years, but have never shared pictures of my rings; instead, I admire everyone else's beautiful and enchanting sparklies!

My original e-ring was in a trellis solitaire setting. I changed the settinga few months ago to include two stones that were my grandmother's earrings for sentimental purposes. However, as time passes, I notice the poor quality of the stones compared to the original center stone.

I may change the setting to either a 4-prong or 6-prong setting if the sidestones continue to bother me, and simply make them into earrings.

Some specs:

Carat: .75
Color: G
Clarity: SI1
Cut: Ideal

Sidestones: approx .50ctw; IJ; I1-I2 (the cut is quite uneven)

Wedding band: 1ctw; HIJ

I apologize for the poor quality of my pictures - I'm an amateur and my camera is ancient!!

After what seems like an eternity of waiting, my boyfriend, now fiancée, has finally popped the question. He hung the ring box from my puppies collar while I was making dinner. After she walked around with it on her collar for 5 minutes, and our other puppy tried to eat the pox, he lifted her up and put her next to what my cooking, and said she wanted a bite. At first I got slightly annoyed because I thought he was just being silly, and thought he was going to get dog hair in my food, but then I looked over and saw the nicely wrapped square shaped box. I just melted. Here are some quick cell phone shots of the ring. I will try and take more soon!

This thread has been giving me my e-ring fix for months now. Soo many beautiful rings! I'm so thrilled to finally have mine. It was such a long process which has been going on since last year. When I showed halo e-ring pictures to my boyfriend , he didn't like it at all. I took him to a jewelry store one day and after I tried on a halo fashion ring, he fell in love with the setting immediately. In fact, he wouldn't budge but stayed firm that I must get a halo engagement ring. I still can't quite decide if it's a good thing or bad thing then when your boyfriend cares about how the ring looks to that point.

It's a platinum halo engagement ring with a 0.73 carat asscher diamond. When the box arrived, I wasn't allow to open it. My fiance's sister "hid" the box in her room lest I got tempted. My fiance came home and found the box in literally a few seconds. He knows me so well and how impatient I can be and what would make me the happiest woman. He opened the box and proposed to me right there.

The photos do not do my asscher diamond any justice. That's the most mesmerizing part of the ring. It even glitters in the dark.

CUT: very good
COLOR: G
CLARITY: SI1

Yesterday was my 34th wedding anniversary - ! This is the Tiffany channel set band, 18 kt. yellow gold, .78 carat, size 5.5. I did not want big stones to compete with the ering but I did like the small ribbon of white diamonds as opposed to the mainly yellow gold Bezet. I love the contrast of white diamonds and yellow gold but like more of the first and less of the last. This seemed to fit the bill and hubby loved the look so it was Happy Anniversary to me!! It was a wonderful day - who doesn't love a special gift from Tiffany?

Here are a few quickly snapped pics - not the best quality but hopefully you get the idea!

I bought a 0.76 carats RB cut diamond pendant from de beers a few years ago (paid too much, don't ask me why I did that) before I was aware of the existence of H&A, idealscope... etc etc. Good thing the diamond is an ideal cut. But I was very concerned with whether it having "arrows" or not after watching some GOG tutorial videos hahaha.

My mom got a new camera a few weeks ago and I was playing with it. I was trying to focus on the diamond and I was able to take a few pictures of arrows showing!!! The light source is the sunset through the window though so I think the diamond has a bit of a orange/red glow in the picture.

Just wanna share with you guys

I have seen lots of rings for engagement and wedding purpose. All have its own beauty to express someone love to their partner. The design you share are most beautiful for engagement rings.

I will continue to add more photos to this thread as I'm able to get better pictures and more of them. I've yet to propose so I'm still doing a lot of "sneaking" around. It is surprisingly hard to get a really good diamond photo! The first two I've attached were taken with a Canon 7D DSLR camera. So far in my opinion, none of the pictures come close to capturing how nice this ring really is. It's a platinum setting, with a 1.01 G/VS2 center stone graded by GIA (EX/EX/EX). Thank you to everyone here who helped point me in the direction of Excel Diamonds. They did an amazing job on this replica and saved me nearly $4000!

Here is the thread that helped me end up with this engagement ring: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/tiffanys-channel-set-round-engagement-ring-help.149564/Here is the thread with my review/testimonial of my shopping experience with Excel Diamonds: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/excel-diamonds-review-a.161090/
more pics to come...

What a shock, I know I've been up to no good again. Ran across an amazing deal on eBay, bid, and just about died of shock when nobody else did and I got it for the opening bid amount. I don't have it in my grubby little paws yet but it should be here very soon.

The piece is really quite lovely- it's a pendant/brooch convertible, with a delicate but substantial 16" original platinum chain with it. The workmanship is absolutely *fabulous* judging by the pics- perfect, perfect filigree and a .62 OEC in the center of the rock crystal piece. The color and cut of the OEC appears pretty great in the macro pics (the seller didn't provide an estimate on color/clarity on the center stone, and for the price I simply didn't care... but it looks white white white in the pics with a nice pattern). The rock crystal piece is intaglio carved with a floral motif. I don't know the total carat weight, but it looks like it's got quite a bit of single cut melee in it. (I'll estimate it when I get my hands on it.) The seller listed the pendant piece as 2.25" including the ornate bail- which is fairly large. I'm wondering if it's a bit smaller actually? Well, I'll see shortly! The chain is great and I'll probably use it for another pendant too.

Can't wait to see it in person! (And the price I paid was absolutely absurd- It's hardly like I neeeeded another necklace but, I couldn't resist it for the price.)
