So last year I got an upgrade to a 1.43ct G SI1 AVC ( http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/6901/ ). It is a beautiful stone, and it has been living in a temporary setting for a year (tapered Stuller Solstice). Here is the original thread with pics of it in it's old setting

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-gog-avc-upgrade-lots-of-pics.138460/
Although I liked the temp setting, it was just that - temporary. I didn't think it set the stone off as nicely as it could be; the shank was thicker than I'd have liked, and it blended into the sides of the stone, making the stone look more elongated than it really is. Anyway - we were very fortunate this year to be able to move the stone to it's beautiful new permanent home - a modified Julia setting from Jewels by Erica Grace!

Hi everyone!!!

I haven't posted something new in a long time.....Long story short, this process started May of last year, when I purchased my first e-band from IDJ. I was a very bad PS-er and never posted photos. I decided a few moths ago that I wanted to upgrade the
stones / get a larger band, so I paid another visit to Yekutiel and Luann and had a few hours of fun!!! They are such super sweet people, and Yekutiel spent alot of time with me, making sure he understood what I wanted (I am a PS-er, after all, ha ha) and showing me a lot of his gorgeous inventory (love his stacking rings!). He even sized my e-ring for me a bit larger, as its been fitting tight lately- boy did I appreciate that!!!! It was just a nice thing to do for me-totally unexpected- it was even polished/dipped afterwards, and now looks like new again- and all done while I waited! As far as the e-band, we ended up deciding on a slightly lower setting, and upgraded the size from 20 to 25 pointers.

I just want to say thank you so much again to Yekutiel & Luann!! They definitely made me feel like they just wanted me to be happy, and I really appreciate that!!!! I highly recommend them, and can't wait to work with them again in the (hopefully near) future!!!!!!

Anyway, enough of my chatting, here are the stats: (and pics)

I'm sure I'm the only PSer who used a plastic ring sizer to measure my ring size... (yes I know, I'm just as ashamed, please forgive me =( ) So I have to send the ring back to get it resize again... (so sad)
But, here are some of the pictures I just took before I have to send it back! Can't wait to get it back soon again!

This is some pictures of a Custom Princess Cut Engagement ring I purchased from Mark Turnowski at engagementringsdirect.com. I used them for the design as well. I could not be happier with the way it turned out. I found a ring at a chain store about 9 months ago, and I expanded on the idea. There are no pictures of the ring on the finger because I have not proposed yet, but it was too nice not to share. Engagmentringsdirect.com was a pleasure to deal with from the first time I emailed some questions to them. They have an expert staff that covered all aspects of my purchase, and also made suggestions to help make the ring look nicer. I was very skeptical about doing this whole thing online but I think the end result shows I made the right choice.

I met up with Arcadian at Intergem yesterday and I picked up this fellow from an antique dealer there. The center diamond is about a .95ct transitional cut, the black pieces are onyx that have been cut to fit and the setting is platinum. The dealer estimated that the setting was made around the 1940s or 1950s.

Hi all - I'm so excited to finally be able to post pictures of this! This is the Tacori HT 2510 1/2X in platinum that I just received from Good Old Gold. It took Tacori around 4-5 weeks to make. I apologize that there are no handshots yet - I'm not planning to propose until the first week in June (I could put it on my pinky and take pics if people really want).

So here is the info on the diamond (1.54 F VS2): http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/7810

As I mentioned, the setting is the Tacori HT 2510 1/2X in platinum, ring size of 4.5. (I never thought I would go with a Tacori setting but when I saw this in person I knew it was the one).

And here are some pics of the completed ring. (Happy to answer any questions or provide some other pictures/angles if anyone wants)

I found this site a couple months ago, and the information here is so wonderful. Thanks to everyone who posts frequently and in turn helps those of us that are looking for information and are able to learn so much from those posts! Show me the bling is probably my favorite forum here, because of all the pretty ring pics!

So, I wanted to share my reset once I got it. Here's some background - My old set was a channel set band with a high 6 prong setting. It showed off my diamond beautifully, and I really loved the setting, not to mention it's what my hubby saved up for and chose and proposed to me with, and I wore it every day. But, when my son was born last year, the way my ring was set, I scratched him a few times, and even broke skin on his face once (deep enough to bleed ) and another time scratched his face but was a surface scratch... but still a scratch. I started getting extremely paranoid wearing my ring whenever I was holding him. I was always so conscious of my ring and possibly poking his eyes, that it started to become somewhat of a hassle. I began to look into possibly resetting my ring into a bezel setting, but it just wasn't "me". I looked at a bunch of pictures and the halos really called out to me, but didn't want too delicate of a band with my 6.75 ring size. When I saw the split shank halo (Diane's Tiara DTC101 at www.sareenjewelery.com) I fell in love with it. I happened to be in LA, and I made an appointment with Adam at Sareen Jewelry and went over that day to try the setting on. He was extremely helpful and listened to all the things I wanted with the ring. I tried on several different kinds of settings, but I fell in love with the one I had already seen but modified it to hold a little bit bigger diamonds so that all you would see were diamonds with little metal. So... on to some pics!

I finally have the stone I was meant to have. I love pears!!! I have to say a big thank you to Jon from GOG for talking with me about my diamond and making me feel confident about my purchase. I found him to be very genuine and personable. The setting is a temporary setting for now but I do really like it. I requested that the prongs be done in a delicate matter and they are. I have no clue what I want to do with the pear because in the end, I want it to be the star of the show. Now on to the good stuff taken straight from my appraisal from GOG since this diamond does not have a certificate.

Hubby decided to tell me on Sunday[Mother's Day] that I should get these earrings from DBL for my birthday which is coming up in a couple weeks. I sent David an email then decided it wouldn't hurt to call and leave a message never figuring that he would be in the office. Surprisingly he was and we had a lovely conversation. I had these in my hot little hands yesterday morning. How's that for quick service! They are very sparkly and just the right size for wearing every day if I want to. Thanks David! They are 18kt FLY radiants with E-F VS side stones with a cttw of 1.41.

A few years ago I had asked for setting ideas for a 2.10 brown cushion diamond I had. Unfortunately I got busy (building a house, deck, fence, pavers, new dog, etc.,)

FINALLY for my 33rd birthday and 8th anniversary I set it! I've had it for a month or so and love it. I had the name "Tiskers" engraved as the ring is paying homage to my terminally ill cat Tiskers.

Style: R1029, cathedral shank, all plat, 1.9-2.0 mm, diamonds on shank 3/4 of the shank

And then, as promised in the Hangout thread. I decided to buy the Le Petite pendant as well. I had originally bought the yellow EC solitare pendant but someone beat me to it! So I decided on the 3 stone yellow rb with white rb.

For scale, the pendant is next to my 1.01 stud

I recently purchased this setting on EBAY for a diamond that my MIL gave to me 13 yrs ago when my husband and I got married. The diamond was set in a necklace but I never liked or wore. I initially saw this setting on JbEG on their consignment semi mount section and really loved it but it wasn't in my budget. Then I stumbled across it on EBAY I don't know if it's the same exact setting as on JbEG but it looks very similar. Diamond is 1.2 ct, it looks way bigger in pictures. Bad timing I have to pick up my 6 yr old so I'm going to be back with more pictures and details!

Hi everyone,

We had been looking for a bracelet or possibly an eternity band for our ten-year anniversary. We were actually introduced to Victor Canera outside of Pricescope by an acquaintance of mine. While doing research on his work, I came across Pricescope and we saw some of the pieces that were posted here. After seeing his amazing work here, my husband and I felt much more comfortable in commissioning him to do our anniversary band, which we decided to go with instead of a bracelet. I was trying to decide between a channel set eternity band and a prong set one. After corresponding with Victor, I decided that a prong set eternity band with Asscher cut diamonds suited my style the most.

I wanted to share pictures of my Asscher Eternity band here. I've had the ring for just over a week now and I have to say, Victor did such an amazing job! My husband actually contacted him 10 days before our anniversary and although he (my husband) said it would be ok if it wasn't done on time, Victor went out of his way and got us the ring a day before our anniversary.

The band is a size 6 and 1/8, completely hand forged with 16 Asscher cut diamonds with a total weight of 7.87ct. All the diamonds are about F color and VVS to VS1 purity. Victor came up with the idea of adding heart shaped filigree inside the band to make it that much more special for us.

Hello Everyone after five weeks i have finally picked up my girlfriends ring, i had it custom made for her, i picked the diamonds, the colour, the shank design, the setting type and height. I Like it a lot, what do you think?

0.80 Carat Centre Stone, Very good Cut, H Colour (Faces Up Very White no Yellow can be seen!) 0.25 carats on the channel set shank so
1 x Full Carat of Diamond on this ring.

The Setting is a Tiffany Setting 7.3mm Raised
All in 18 carat white Gold
Shank Design has the shoulder tapered in towards the diamond (Gives a nice appearance of the diamond being bigger)

I am taking my girlfriend to Prague for a romantic getaway on 8th June, I hope she says yes i will update with further news when i get back I love this girl so i wanted to make her happy. I asked her what she wanted in a ring and pieced it together and had a custom one made for her (she hasnt got a clue!)

It finally finally came! Thanks to those who helped me decide on this, it's absolutely perfect. It is 1.25ct of ACA diamonds set in platinum, F/G VS. Sorry for the not-so-great pictures, I took them with my phone as I had to take the ring off until I get married on Wednesday. Also, disregard the gross nails if possible, ugh.

http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-bands/five-stone-shared-prong-diamond-wedding-band-820.htm
I was worried that 1.25ct would not be large enough for my size 6.75 finger, but I think it looks good. Any thoughts? I'll be wearing it alone.

Special thanks to everybody at Whiteflash, this was my first experience buying jewelery online and it was a very smooth process and I can't wait to buy from them again in the future.

I posted a blog about my 4.35 carat men's OMC diamond ring under the Antique & Vintage Jewelry forum. A new friend there suggested that I post it on this forum where it might get more views. So here are some photos of this ring, my pride & joy. I'll post just a couple of photos since it takes so long to upload them. I hope they'll whet your appetite to see more. If you'd like to see more photos, go to the Antique & Vintage Jewelry forum & look for the topic, "Faceting an Old Mine Cut to Reduce Fish Eye". I hope you enjoy these photos!
