The Graduate - what a honker of a ring!

We watched The Graduate tonight in film class. I''ve seen it several times before and the movie always slightly depresses me, so I entered class with some trepidation. Then I noticed that the opening credits mentioned Harry Winston, and I perked right up. I don''t know how I managed to miss it before, but the ring that Anne Bancroft is wearing throughout the movie is absolutely HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. It looks like a many carat fat marquise in a solitaire setting, although I''m not sure what size fingers she has so it could be proportionately smaller. And she''s got it on with a thin plain wedding band with a big gap between the two. Also a lot of pretty pearls scattered here and there on various necks in the film.

That reminds me of another HW piece, that I''ve been dying to know if it''s real or not. You know how there''s that 5 ct. Harry Winston ring that Selma Blair wears in Legally Blond? Do you guys think that''s real? I''ve seen the movie about a hundred times, and it''s always come across to me as a paste fakie.
