HDG - What''s your budget if you don''t mind me asking? J''s was 4k and my ring came in at $3,999.99! I have to plug WF and say our experience was/is awesome w/ them and also I LOVE my ring and I don''t feel like I want to upgrade at all. They do have a great upgrade policy though Also if you are looking at ACA''s don''t be afraid of a lower color like I or J to save moolah. I LOVE MY J!

So I just got an email showing that K went ahead and got me that umbrella! Oops because that''s the second present I''ve inadvertently found out about TODAY, but yay because I have such a sweet FI! He was just trying to throw me off track. Now I just need to act SUPER surprised on Christmas.

Seriously, I am the WORST about finding out about presents, and I don''t even try! When Kris got me my kitchenaid, I found it on the front porch a couple of days before my birthday, then I had my mom tell K that she found it and I pretended to be completely surprised. Then today, I went and hung out with my sister before I picked up our Christmas tree and accidentally saw my present from her because she left it on her easel (she''s painting me a picture). LOL. Good thing I am not that bothered about surprises!

I''m so excited we picked up our tree today--we got a living Christmas tree and it is so cool!

It''s okay. I''m pretty certain that I know what my gift is from M. It''s heavy and it''s somethign for the kitchen. I mentioned something a few days ago, and I think he got it.

Also, I got him convinced that since I''m not ready to get engaged, loose diamonds are acceptable presents! I freaking LOVE my boyfriend!!!!

Whoa, I love it! Why didn''t I come up with that sooner?!??!

Well, to be fair, I''ve had a love affair with the "Small Diamonds" section of Old World Diamonds. I want to buy the first one myself, but after that it''s open season! The ones I''m looking at/lusting over are under $300, so they''re really doable, too! I want a small one to put in a pendant or a small RHR as my first "big girl" present to myself. I finally am starting to feel like an adult, and I got a promotion so I want to celebrate. Of course, I may have to wait for the next promotion to set it, but we''ll cross that bridge when we come to it!

I don''t mind you asking at all! The truth is that I don''t know! I don''t even know that SO is really ready to shop right now. I sent him the link because he''s mentioned the ring a couple of times recently which leads me to think that it is on his mind. He''s also not been very clear on whether he is willing to accept any contribution from me towards the ring (right now, I make much more than him so if it was me buying it, the budget would be very different!).

I am stunned that that gorgeous ring of yours came in at that price! WOW!!!! Have you shown us handshots missy?!?!!

I gotta vote for the J because it''s bigger and honestly the value is amazing because truly these diamonds sparkle so much and the cut makes them face up very white. I have a few hand pics that I took when I first got my ring so I will try and get them up tonight. They suck but oh well.

So that email disappeared out of my inbox. I think K might have gone into my email and deleted it. That doesn't bother me, but I'm worried he saw the confirmation email for the gift I got him. I'm going to be REALLY bummed if he ruined his surprise.

It's one thing for me to accidentally see it in my inbox, but if he sees his confirmation because he logged into my email, I'm really going to be upset, especially after I went to all the trouble to surprise him.

Gah. Now this has ruined my good mood.

He probably just realized that you may have gotten a confirmation e-mail and went in there just to delete it so that you'd be surprised! He probably didn't see the conf email of your gift to him!!!!

I hope so, but I don't know. I only noticed because I sent him an im being like "Oh, Gilt sent me something--probably just making sure I don't want to buy the umbrella I've been stalking. I just deleted it."

But now I'm worried that if HE deleted it and saw it had been read, he'll know it's not a surprise. Freakin' stupid.

Yeah, I''m a size 6 (or slightly under--my rings do spin a bit) and I always thought that was small. Granted, my fingers are also long, so they look thinner because of that.
