it was the marriage part. that changed everything.

I'm still in the 'oh crap' phase
41.gif
I wish I was still there.

I'm not ready for a baby yet, but very much want one.

Must. Get. Puppy.
I wholeheartedly agree with this elley. A dog might give you that extra something that's missing right now. Puppies are very much like babies in their helplessness - cats are always on point!

I would so love for you to get a dog. They are so wonderful and loving and adorable and furry and cuddly and funny and I love their doggy breath! I know how much you love your cats, so what's adding one more to the family?

One of the greatest experiences of my life was having Sophie as a puppy. She has enriched my life beyond measure.

eta: don't you love my spastic posts? jeez...I need to take a writing course pronto!

Elledizzle, have you ever been to a coffee place in AA called Sweetwaters?

Yeah, I don''t think I''m responsible enough for a child, since I can barely take care of myself - I''ve just suddenly grown a biological clock, at age 30.

Yes... I have. Why do you ask?

I have a friend in grad school at Michigan, and more often than not her FB status has something to do with Sweetwaters. It sounds like it must be a wonderful place...

B I''ve been dying for a puppy for years now. I actually cry when I see them because I want one so badly.

And, yes normally cats are on point... except one of mine.

It''s pretty good. I''m not a regular coffee drinker, but on the few occassions I''ve had coffee there it was good.

I just dont think (and neither does J) that Sbux has *good* coffee. Sure when you have a pimped out latte with tons of sugar, its good, but really the coffee itself is not that good. The sweetwater baristas know their stuff, so the coffee is definitely more consistent.

Sweetwaters is local (which ann arbor people live for) and really good coffee. The atmosphere is nice, and they have free WiFi.

I want a puppy desperately!
DH said I can have one as soon as I''m ready to take care of it all by myself (in other words, he doesn''t want to have to pick up its poop), and if it''s a non-shedding breed.

HH-are you on the nest? I thought I "bumped" into someone that looked like you over there.

I want a puppy, but K says not until we have a big yard and more space. Which is good because if we got a dog, we would want a big dog like a Golden Retriever. But I still want one.

i should''ve never looked at gemstones on ebay. they all seemed so inexpensive too....

What''d you get, squirrly?
i supposedly have a 17.81 london blue topaz (it''s pretty but going off the color alone if it is naturally a topaz, they did something to the color. that can''t be natural. still pretty though) they call it octagonal but it looks like an emrald cut to me
33.gif

a 15.98 flourite that''s green sometimes and blue others. has a pretty big inclusion, but it changes colors and that''s all i need
9.gif
it''s round

a 2.19 twilight topaz (i know it''s treated but it''s pretty!) round

8.59 mystic blue quartz (which i believe translates to cheap dyed stone with really cool cut) oval

1.26 green apatite (love the color!) round

10 little .164 violet iolites marquises

5.72 swiss blue topaz cushion

and my favorite, and i don''t even crea if it''s really colored glass, the color is gorgeous!
12.83 trillion london blue topaz (seems to be the color i normally see of pictures of that stone)

no more finding auctions of pretty things under $10 for me.

It is so wonderful to get home to my excited puppy (well he''s 3 1/2 but thinks he''s still a puppy!) at the end of the day. He really makes my day even after a very crappy one! Sometimes he''ll just jump on my lap or on my stomach when I''m laying down and just lay there waiting for me to pet him!

Goldens are awesome. We almost considered a lab, but they''re a lot more high strung. I want a calmer dog around for when we have kids.

I have shih tzu mix (I posted a pic of her in Hangout) and she doesn''t shed at all. Plus we have a wizdog that lets her go inside when we aren''t home to take her out - no fuss and very clean. She''s only 9 lbs so its very easy to keep up with her.

Yeah, and they are big dogs. It wouldn''t be such an issue if we had more space, but we''re only on a 5,000 SF lot and that''s not a ton of space.

You and Elle would make great doggie mamas!
Ooh that wizdog is great! Might have to get it. I usually just leave wee wee pads down for my dog when we''re not home.
it is great. Sophie was always really good about this anyway. Once she figured out that she could go in the bathroom, in the same spot, we never had a problem. Shes welcome at anyones house because we stash weewee pads at everyone''s house (lol). Put them in any bathroom, show her where the bathroom is and that its down for her, and she knows to go there. She''s a genius, I tell you!

Puppies are so much work. I''d rather have another baby.
