I want a puppy desperately!

DH said I can have one as soon as I''m ready to take care of it all by myself (in other words, he doesn''t want to have to pick up its poop), and if it''s a non-shedding breed.
is he not a dog person?

I have shih tzu mix (I posted a pic of her in Hangout) and she doesn''t shed at all. Plus we have a wizdog that lets her go inside when we aren''t home to take her out - no fuss and very clean. She''s only 9 lbs so its very easy to keep up with her.

You and Elle would make great doggie mamas!

I think he likes dogs enough, but he doesn''t have the burning desire for a puppy that I have. Once he saw how wonderful puppies are, I think he''d fall in love. I had a dog as a kid, and his family never had pets, so I think that''s a big part of why he doesn''t really ''get it.''

His brother is afraid of/hates dogs, so I think that''s why they never had one. Now his parents have a dog, and they are so in love! (But the BSC SIL kicks dogs when they come near her, so I feel kind of sorry for the dog when they visit...)
Ya know, I didn''t like this raging whore before but now I''m just going to have to beat her down.

SIL needs to be kicked...in the head...NOW!

My cat''s breath is terrible. I still love it. I can always smell it when I cuddle with him, and I cuddle the most when I''m hurting. So now the smell soothes me. Strange, but true.
same. well except for the bad breath. dogs, when they have bad breath, it is really bad. my dog almost always has sweet breath (unless she''s thrown up), not minty or anything, it just remained puppyish.

I don''t know why...

HH-are you on the nest? I thought I ''bumped'' into someone that looked like you over there.

Follow up to my other post. Fiery-If you can figure out how to do it (I have no idea), friend me over there so I know who you are....It would be nice to have a "friend". It can be rough going with those girls sometimes....

UGH. Apparently today is day 2 of my "See Food" (and eat it) diet. We had pizza at lunch, and I had a third slice even though I wasn''t particularly hungry...it was just *there*...and then I had an extra 2-bite brownie...because it was *there*...I''m trying to avoid going to another coworker''s office who emailed about his wife (a friend of mine) baking a ton of cookies, which are now in his office. I love the holidays...I hate the holiday weight gain.

I feel you, VC! So hard to say no right now!

Ate a salad for lunch. Then a coworker dropped a "Thank You" cookie on my desk.

Good thing I am going to go join the Y tonight. You automatically lose calories just for joining - correct?

eta: don't know why I quoted this ^

WL: I forgot, ther are a lot of video lessons on YouTube. I have a friend that is teaching himself and that's what he uses.

I told FI he should make a few since he can play most songs...esp anything Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Bia:

The Nikon D5000 has the same photo sensor and megapixel as the D90 and is roughly 400 dollars cheaper. Its not quite as rugged, but it has many similar features, and is a good solid camera if you dont want to drop the money on the D90. The only significant difference is that the 5000 doesnt have the LCD display on the camera to show settings. The fps rate is only slightly slower. Its a really good camera for the money.

J and I were wavering between the D5000 and the D90... I think we''re going to go with the D5000. Excited!

Good. You can eat the cookies before I get to them. Though knowing me, I''ve gained 2 lbs just *thinking* about them.

The scale is evil. My weight fluctuates 3-5 lbs DAILY.

I go by how my pants are fitting.

Right now: Muffin Top City.

That''s what I''m hoping since I was lifting...and I haven''t eaten THAT badly. I''m hoping it''s a combination of muscle and weird water retention from sodium in my Thai food yesterday...argh.

On a semi-related note...I think my gym has installed funhouse mirrors. When I''m on the cardio machines, I feel like I look leaner and more athletic. When I''m on the weights floor lifting, I feel like I look wider. I wonder if they do this to make the guys that lift think they''re buffer than they really are!??! LOL

Pocket-size LED flashlight. A is OBSESSED and has them EVERYWHERE. I think there''s one in each coat pocket, one in each glove compartment, and one in each room of the condo.

Oh believe me...I''m working on that whole "always be prepared" thing. The wedding will be in KC, MO...and I''ve been there twice now, and never really seen the city. *Sigh* Soooooo...I have a giant folder of internet linkys for potential venues, caterers, florists, bakeries, etc etc etc, lol...not to mention the dress folder.

NP.

Also, if your dad cooks, Williams Sonoma has the awesome colored paring knives that come in a few different colors and have covers on them to protect the blades. That''s what''s in A''s stocking this year, along with some high-quality chocolate.
