Hahaha Lactard. We use that term for our celiacs. We''re Glutards.
Hehe. That one makes it sound like you ate too much paste as children.![]()
TP - they do make kosher pareve frozen puff pastry! It''s good with all-beef hot dogs for uber-kosher pigs in blankets.
I wish I had a personal chef just to plan my meals for the week (I''d even cook them myself). Every night DH and I scramble to throw something together, and half the time we end up ordering takeout. Can''t seem to get myself to sit down and plan before we head to the supermarket.

B LOVES the pot pie in puff pastry (so do I -- it is just so fluffy and yummy) but I hate to make it. So much time and lots of rolling -- exhausting.
I even checked the Albertsons on Mercer Island the last time we were there and couldn't find it.
Odd. I also find it odd that out of everyone who''s on her at work, my computer has access to the most internet sites and I work for the gov''t.Date: 12/28/2009 3:46:53 PM

Ugh, how is it that my company allows Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter, but won''t allow evites?
I wouldn''t call them good but we''ve got a couple of possibilities in the area. Albertsons was one. QFC near the UW is another.Date: 12/28/2009 3:47:37 PM

Hmm, I don''t know where in your area, but if there''s a kosher butcher or kosher grocer that would be a good place to start.
Thanks for the website. I hadn''t been to this one before. Worth a try. They seem to have a reasonable selection of stuff (and puff pastry!!!).Date: 12/28/2009 3:58:24 PM

TP - I inadvertently deleted the second part of my post. Try kosher.com -- i think they will deliver to you.
interesting that the Mercer Island one didnt have what you were looking for. I went into that grocery store one day looking for a snack... i forgot it has mostly kosher foods.. And here i wanted mac & cheeseDate: 12/28/2009 4:27:59 PM

More sources of kosher options is always good.
It''s from Firehouse Subs, which I haven''t seen north of Raleigh. You''re in the DC area, right? Let me know if you find one near you, because I will force my friends to try it. Seriously, I hate mayo but this was amazing.Date: 12/28/2009 3:42:38 PM

Hi princesss!!! Where''d your sub come from??? I want to try this amazing mayo!
jcar, best of luck with the whole milk! What kind of cheese are you making first??? And, just as important, what''s the boy making with his beer kit?!?
They seem to sell out of stuff some days. I may have just been in on one of those days. (quite possible since I was in trying to get a roast for Shabbat dinner -- left with a chicken) I''ve also not been very impressed with the quality of much of what they carry. Or the prices in some cases.Date: 12/28/2009 4:31:12 PM

VC - I am making farmers cheese, but going to add in herbs (like and herb dip). going out full force! E will be making a traditional lager, i believe.

I''d vote for the cute & comfy shoes you know. Your HM isn''t the time to be wearing something uncomfortable.Date: 12/28/2009 5:43:36 PM

I have a shoe dilemma!! I need black heels (summery, but not strappy, because they kill my feet!) for my HM in 3.5 weeks. I could get a pair of shoes that I already have in black. They''re cute, comfy, love ''em! And they''re on sale! But then I have 2 pairs of the same shoes in different colors. Do I get those, or risk something not as comfy? Ack!![]()

Up for debate. If you know you''ll wear them a ton, then yes get them. I probably wouldn''t, but that''s because I own ten million pairs of shoes already...Date: 12/28/2009 5:43:36 PM

Morning, HH! Your DH is quite lucky. If I wasn''t allergic, I''d love to be at home snuggling a kitteh!Date: 12/29/2009 9:49:10 AM

Morning ladies! I also wish I weren''t at work today. DH is off this week. I left him in bed snuggling with our cat Binks this morning.
Well, that''s certainly one way to go.Date: 12/29/2009 10:36:03 AM
