I guess I''d never *expect* one but if my husband carried my baby for 9 months through god knows what and wrecked his body (at the very least, temporarily) and went through all that pain, I''d feel like a token of appreciation would be a very kind gesture.

He gets to "finish" at sex, and then you''re in for a crazy 9 months. UNFAIR!

I guess DH doesn''t really understand presents. He doesn''t particularly like giving them or getting them. He likes having whatever I get him, but I don''t think he gets excited for gifts the way normal people do. I LOVE giving people stuff, and I love picking out just the right thing. I also love receiving presents, even if they aren''t what I''d normally choose for myself. DH is missing that part of his brain. It''s weird.

J is kind of the same way. He just doesnt think to give gifts!

We had been dating for 3 years I think before I got flowers for the first time!

I LURVE it. Callas are one of my 3 fave flowers, the flower I plan on carrying when we get married, AND the flower all the women in my family have carried when THEY got married. So there's more to it than just the pretty and interesting cut.
