Right about once a year. We went for lunch when we were in the San Juan Islands. Before that, the last time had been dinner out after we left the emergency room about a year and a half earlier.Date: 1/28/2010 11:56:17 AM

Morning TP!
Wow. ONCE A YEAR you eat out?!![]()
J and I are such foodies! We LOVE going to restaurants!
Yea, they are simple, which is why I like them. And they are cut well for those with boobage.

Yeah I hate cooking. J doesnt mind, so he typically does it. A restaurant really is a nice break. But sometimes it DOES taste better at home!Date: 1/28/2010 12:04:31 PM

Me too Elle! I fully admit that I can usually make something that tastes just as good at home, but sometimes it''s really nice to not do the cooking. Our favorite restaurant has a really extensive gluten free menu and they really cater to us glutards (manager serves your food, etc) and I like the special treatment. But that''s a place we could go and spend $20 for burgers or $150 for a 3 course steak/fish dinner.
I know...CK has some nice ones too. I am terrified to wear a bikini.Date: 1/28/2010 12:04:25 PM

I''m scared of one pieces. For some reason two pieces balance me out.
Leftover chicken makes great tacos too.Date: 1/28/2010 12:02:22 PM

TP thanks for the tips. Right now I''m trying to find a balance between economy and convenience. I do make a lot of stuff from scratch because it all has to be gluten free, but unfortunately I don''t have the time, nor the skill to effectively debone a whole chicken. Not to mention we''re white meat only people. I think it''s great when you and your partner can see eye to eye on things like leftovers. My husband however is very picky will only take leftovers for lunch the next day, he won''t eat them after that. And I''m not creative with reusing things like leftover meat, though I like the thought of making tacos with leftover roasts and stuff like that. I need to find out if we have a restaurant supply store around here. I know lots of times they''re not open to the public, so that could be an issue.

I brought soup and laughing cow...again.![]()
I bought a a few cute swim suits at JCrew.com but one was too big. I took it the dry cleaners to see if they could take it in since I don''t have enough time to exchange it. They told me 10 days and $40!!! So, I called the little old Italian seamstress I know, and she''s going to do it for me...for $10!!! I think I can pick it up today!!![]()

A few of my really quick but yummy leftovers:
Shredded anything with some BBQ sauce is great for sandwiches. Sliced turkey or chicken reheated by simmering in white wine with rosemary & thyme is yummy. Served with pasta or rice.
Diced up meat (fresh or leftover) can be tossed into pasta sauce to simmer and served over pasta. (WF has some great sauces for pretty inexpensive).
Shwarma -- Caramalize sliced onions, toss in leftover meat (sliced), add spices (cumin, corriander, cinnamon, etc.) to taste. Serve with pita and veggies.
