Things I learned at work today:

It is important to have a distinct theme when you decorate your kitchen. Like ivy. Or the fat chef. Or grapes. Otherwise people might not know it''s a kitchen.

All homes must be decorated JUST LIKE the catalog you get your bookcases from. Otherwise it''s not organized/cohesive.

I myself often fantasize about my fat chef kitchen, just to give the kitchen a little more "direction." That way I know to go in there to cook. Clearly, there is no fat chef, as I have yet to cook a meal.

Speaking of jobs... A few weeks ago DH submitted his friend''s resume to his boss for an open position. DH just called me and told me his friend got the job! Which means two things... 1- DH will now get to work with one of his best friends every day (he was a groomsman at our wedding) and they talk every day already, so DH is sooo excited about this and 2- because DH submitted the resume and they gave his friend the job, we get $5000 for referring him! They take out taxes so it''s really less, but still it makes me feel SO much better about spending too much money on our honeymoon that we''re going on in August.

I LOVE those shoes! I always fall in love with shoes in gorgeous colors but end up not getting them because I always feel like I won''t have anything to wear with them. I should start buying more beautiful shoes first and then finding dresses to match them!

And we''re going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Costing too much (but then again, I always hate spending any unnecessary money) which I''ve felt guilty about since we booked it, but now with this money I feel less bad about

I definitely have to start buying more shoes. I have a great pair of Cole Haan silver (way too high but gorgeous) sandals but most of my other shoes are black. Although DH bought me light pink Cole Haan shoes last year that I love and managed to find something to wear with them! I saw amazing red shoes the other day. Maybe I''ll go back and buy them and then look for a dress to match them.

i don''t match either! i wore those pumps with a plain black cocktail dress, and accessorized with some turquoise-colored costume jewelry. one of my girlfriends has these royal blue pumps that she once wore with a lemon-yellow dress...it looked amazing! Hawaii?! oh wow...that''s like my dream honeymoon destination! i''m sure you guys will have an amazing time and yes, the extra money is helping i''m sure!

Yes I did... but we''re still not sure about the job.

We went to the reception venue last night to discuss wedding details, and that was the place where he proposed, with tiramisu! So we got a glass of wine and a tiramisu (for old time''s sake!

) and did some wedding stuff. It was a good night!
