Morning, BigT!

Yes I did... but we''re still not sure about the job.
3.gif

We went to the reception venue last night to discuss wedding details, and that was the place where he proposed, with tiramisu! So we got a glass of wine and a tiramisu (for old time''s sake!
3.gif
) and did some wedding stuff. It was a good night!

What''s going on with you??
Hooray! I love that you''re getting married at the place where you got engaged. It''s uber-romantic! Will you serve tiramisu instead of / in addition to wedding cake??

Not much happening with me. Have to make a presentation at 11. Yay.
Last night DH and I booked a hotel and rental car in San Francisco for a trip we''re taking later in the summer. I''m really excited!! This will be our first married vacation!

We will serve a smaller-than-normal portion of tiramisu after dinner, and then we''ll cut and serve the wedding cake. That''s what we were trying to figure out with the pastry chef last night!

Oooh presentation sounds fun.

That''s awesome that you booked your first married trip! How exciting! What do you plan on doing in SF??

Wedding tiramisu! I love it. How many people do you have again?

32 guests are coming.

Yum. You know, it was only recently that I began to appreciate the deliciousness of tiramisu! I really want to learn to make it (because in my next career I''m going to be a pastry chef), but I imagine it''s pretty difficult to do it well. Hmmm. Anyone know any great tiramisu recipes?
How are your wedding plans doing, in general? It was SO smart of you not to have a long engagement - much better just to make all the choices and be done with them!!

In SF we''re visiting some friends and relatives, and probably heading to a couple wineries in the wine country. I really want to do a hot air balloon ride, but I think it might be scary? I also want to go on a trail ride (with horses), and maybe do some hiking. We''ve both been to San Francisco a few times, but I never tire of doing touristy things like visiting Alcatraz or Coit Tower. Maybe we''ll look at some jewelry... i do have a big birthday coming up!

It really is fantastic, isn''t it?? I''ve had some very average tiramisu, and some very fantastic tiramisu. Never BAD tiramisu. I don''t know of any recipes, unfortunately. I should really learn how to make it.

I am really enjoying the whole 4 month engagement thing. It''s crazy to me that people wait a year, sometimes 2 or more! I''d go insane waiting! I''m already antsy!

That sounds like a good time! I went to Alcatraz when I was little... maybe 3 or so. DEFINITELY check out the jewelry.
31.gif
The whole hot air balloon ride scares the CRAP out of me. I''m terrified of heights. I would have a serious panic attack! I wish that wasn''t the case because I bet you get some great views.

Morning!

Big, I want to be a pastry chef too. Let''s bypass culinary school (I''ve seen enough cake shows to know what I need to do) and open up a trendy cake shop in the City...make millions.
31.gif

Maybe we''ll get our own show?

Elle, it''s getting close!

I am dyyyying to go to cake decorating class/school. Just dying. I have been baking a bunch since my lovely kitchenaid arrived.

I totally agree, Elle, I cannot IMAGINE having a long engagement. 32 is a great size. I am jealous. We are at 75 invited, hopefully 60 come, and that seems like bare bones. Bleah.

Morning, Bia!

I think we'd be great with our own trendy cake shop tv show! Especially if it involved elledizzy's signature poop cake. I bet we could charge a lot for that!

ETA: Miscka, the Kitchenaid mixer was by far my favorite wedding gift!!

And LMAO at Bia, I have seen soooo many cooking/baking/cake shows and I still seem to be hopeless! I am an ok baker but a terrible cook!

Big T, what color is yours?

I had a funny moment last weekend....I wanted to bake so I could use it, so I picked a brownie recipe. I went and got the ingredients, got home and got started only to realize the recipe didn''t call for mixing!

Sorry, kitckenaid

I posted a thread in BWW about my invitations if you''d like to see them. FI and I made them last night.

Be nice with your comment, because we really like them.

Good morning ladies!

Ooooo....I love baking and I always wanted to go to pastry school! I''m really into cupcake decorating and do it on the side for extra cash. One of my girlfriends wants to open a cupcakery. What a fabulous thing to do for a living...I''d get fat though.
39.gif

Elle - wow, I didn''t realize how soon your wedding is coming up! How exciting and I totally love the fact it''ll be at the same place you got engaged at. Tiramisu AND wedding cake? What a horrible idea...

Morning, ladies!

My KitchenAid is my favorite thing ever. It''s kind of the focal point of my kitchen
1.gif
I''d love to open a cupcakery, but I just don''t have the drive to be a small-business-owner.

Morning Ladies!
Im sorry i havent checked in or posted in awhile...work has been crazy! I hate when work is crazy like this....but its okay the day goes by fast and it means i make more money....

Elle, you so have to post us stuff about your wedding, i would so love to know details! You can give some of us LIW pointers and tips.

Morning vip!

Yes, I am quite evil to provide not one, but TWO desserts!
11.gif

Jessie, I know nothing about planning weddings!
20.gif
9.gif
Seriously, I figure everything out by Google and PS! PS is absolutely the best advice providing website EVER! People here know so much!

awwwww elle, dont worry you will have tips afterwards. I know my sister didnt know any tips before hand, and than afterwards had lots

elle - the invitations look fab! i totally wanna see the rest of your wedding website.
3.gif

miscka - mine''s french blue or something like that -- from WS

Elle, you better stick around for a few more years, because when my whirlwind engagement comes up, I need people experienced with planning things quickly. I''ll need you and my bridol (of the 3 month engagement). ALSO, I met the girl that planned my bridol''s wedding, and I think she''s my hero. So I''m going to have to find a way to be around her a little more...
27.gif

Oh, btw: morning, all!

Thanks guys!

Princesss - We just really got lucky, I''m not going to lie. We knew what reception/photog we wanted, and we just got SUPER lucky that they happened to be open on the same day, short notice.

Luckily for you, if you do pull a short engagement... you and I are sample size.
9.gif
So we can buy off the rack for the most part! I got really lucky with that.

Our wedding website is autumnpromise.com... nothing there yet, but you can check it out!

elle, I really like that tree graphic. Did you/FI design that?

Thanks! FI designed the invites... I think he pulled the tree graphic online somewhere from a blog. He has a link if you wanted to see it.

You guys, my pants are splitting on the side seam right at the bottom of the pocket!!

I swear they''re not too tight! I''m so embarrassed! I hope nobody notices...

Of course I don''t! That''s for organized, well-put-together people!
3.gif

At least it''s not the butt seam.

Oh no @ the split pants! I''m paranoid of things like that, and I always used to keep a mini sewing kit in my desk.

elle, I''d love to see a link. I''m a huge fan of graphics like that (where they''re detailed but still very sleek).

LOL! Oh, I''m sorry! I''m sure no one will notice. I totally thought you said "plants" instead of "pants" and I was thinking,
33.gif
plants have pockets??

That reminds me I have to water the plants in my office!!

So... my way of avoiding embarrassment is to walk around pointing out to everyone the hole in my pants. That way they can''t notice it first?

Just found out my brother, who is a liquor rep, is getting me all my wedding booze free, since he''s is the rep for the place we''re having the reception.

Free. Open. Bar.
