4ever...congrats! I feel like I remember you saying something about the film industry at one point...is that what your degree is in?

Good memory, I majored in TV production. I wont name the degree now because I might offend anyone doing the US course but the one I did is the top course in the country for anyone going into journalism, TV, radio and PR and it''s very compeditive.

I really want to spend the prize money on shoes or sparkly things but it is going towards paying off a good chunk of my left over student debt.

Thanks for your kind words ladies, I should get up early more often because it''s nice to be on small talk when other people are actually there. Got to go get ready and start heading into town, got lunch with some friends.

My degree was in film studies, more comp lit. Admittedly, it was quite easy, but I went into that because the journalism degree was going to be impossible to get into. Jobs are also impossible to come by in those fields without working for pennies. Sucks.

My friend with a masters in screenwriting from UCLA (top GPA too) was working as a PA on two failed shows and is now unemployed, so it''s a lot harder than you think.

That''s cool sunny. The film and TV industry is NZ is alot smaller and more tight knit than in many larger countries and I know I am qualified to push my way in there at an entery level position. The first job is the hardest because no one has worked with you before but after you''re in and doing a good job, YOU''RE IN! I''m going to start sending my CV around soon, hopefully some one will want me.

It DOES wash away all the allergens! It''s raining now and I can breathe!!! It''s lovely!

But pollen counts were suppose to be low on Sunday without the rain, anyway.

Though our "love bubble" deflecting the rain gave me a few funny visuals!

I was up until 11:30 last night getting lemon chiffon cupcakes baked & cooled, lemon curd (made from 5 lbs fresh squeezed lemons) made, and carefully cutting a hole in the top of each cupcake so I could hollow out a little spot inside.

Alarm went off at 5:00 this morning. Started my day by carefully removing the little circle from each cupcake (after hollowing out I put the top circle back on) and spooning a bit of lemon curd in. Then I made a 7 minute frosting (try 20 minutes -- separate eggs, beat everything for 1 minute, put over water & beat for 7 minutes, remove from hot water & beat for 5 minutes) and frosted all of the cupcakes. (took about 2 hours to do all of this)


B has been working for this company for 5 years and it is pretty common for people to bring in some sort of cakes/cookies/etc to share with people in the coffee room.
I hope everyone likes them.

I''ve simply been slipping into a state of hibernation. I''m trying to preserve as much of soul as possible while my job relentlessly tries to suck it out of me.

It''s like rebooting in safe mode, but for humans.
