Are they puppies? 7 times is a bunch for only having them a few months. What breed? That might explain more LOL
Brie is around 2, and Nicky is around 1 or so. Brie is a chow/shepherd mix (maybe) and Nicky is a basenji/beagle mix (also maybe).

Brie was from the pound, and was a stray. When we got her she was 5 pounds underweight, covered in ticks and generally in bad health. She wouldn''t eat, had stomach issues, etc, so it turned out she had giardia and had lost another 5 pounds, then we had to feed her boiled chicken, yogurt and white rice along with antibiotics and another de-worming med. Oh, and the day we picked her up from the pound, she had just been fixed, so we got to deal with trying to keep her subdued, and then checkups for that as well.

Then when we got Nicky, he was about 7 pounds overweight, but in decent overall health because he''d come from a women''s prison where he had been fully trained. Unfortunately he had a small rash in his genital area from his stitches dissolving from when he was fixed.

Plus shots for both as well as heartworm stuff, and tests for the above mentioned stuff and precautionary tests as well. Not to mention getting weighed!

Those are probably their biggest issues, but Brie is also pretty accident prone, so there will probably be many more vet visits in the future.

Here is a pic!

Aww, poor puppy! Each of our cats has been to the vet once since we''ve had them, Gaffer for a check up and Bianca because she managed to scratch her eye.

Speaking of rodents, I''m hoping to put our kitties to work as mousers when we move into our new house. I think they''ll enjoy that.

Yeps, that''s my favorite thing about Jason''s, free ice cream (or chocolate mousse pudding with choc. chips...or both

)

Oh, thanks for reminding me LP, Brie messed up her eye (scratched or an infection) about 2 weeks ago, so that was ANOTHER vet visit.

Meh.

Oh yea, they are still in puppy mode. Look out! Adorable!

I want another dog for my pup to play with, but our apt is too small. When get a house, I want a big dog!

Lol Bia! FI wants a house so we can have more room for the doggies. We''re living in a 937sq ft condo at the moment. And Brie is 50+/- lbs and Nicky is around 40 (still needs to lose weight), so they aren''t small! How big is your apartment?

I want a doggie, but S and I are never home enough to take care of one. Eventually...we want a standard schnauzer.

Grown Ups:

They make my heart melt.

Yeah they are! I''ve never had one, but we''ve read about every dog there is in existence and they are the perfect fit for what we want. The minis are so cute, but S and I want something a little bigger to play with, standards are perfect at ~35-60 lbs

Here are a couple of photos of her that I have posted in my Who''s Who thread when she was a pup and older...(more photos of her in my Who''s Who thread too if you wanna take a peek!)

Awww!! What was her name!?

(PS--I have to run out and buy a card, get it signed by office people, etc. Care committee, woo-hoo, be back in a few)

Freke: 800sq ft. so you know it gets tight in here!

Sophie is only 9 lbs, so she perch anywhere (she's catdog). Plus we take her out a lot so she can run around like a maniac. A big dog, plus her? Too much. We are definitely going to adopt next time around, because there are so many awesome pups out there that need a good home.

FI loves pitt/mixes. I love anything that doesn't shed too much because my allergies go nuts. Yea, I'm a dog lover. In fact, my pup hasn't left my side the last two days. FI was talking to her this morning, telling her she's such a mommy's girl. LOL she is though

esp when I'm sick.

Aww, my best friend has a Schnauzer named Ghandi that is SO FREAKIN'' CUTE.

Dream your doggie was so cute! Are you planning on getting another one?

half an hour until lunch...come on lunch!

Yeesh! Yeah it gets really tight in here considering we have the two dogs, two turtles, and two hamsters on top of all of that.

Adopting makes me happy. I was watching the Dog Whisperer the other day and it was the episode about puppy mills...so sad. We had two purebreds bought from pet stores before we got these guys, and I''m thinking one was definitely from a puppy mill.

I love big dogs. The bigger the better. Nicky is about as small as I''d want to go. I had an ex that found a stray Rottie, and I LOVED that dog. Adored him. So one day I''m going to have a Rottie. FI wants a Siberian Husky, but that will have to wait until we have a BIG yard and really tall fence. He keeps bringing up Mastiffs, so we might end up with one of those too.

Nicky is definitely my dog. He whines when I sleep in and FI makes him go with him into the living room. And then he comes and checks on me every 15 minutes or so. Brie is a huge cuddler and will cuddle with anyone who doesn''t want cuddling. Lol. She''s like a giant warm stuffed animal--and a huge comfort when I cry. So I totally know what you mean! They are both bugging me while I''m sitting here actually....

I''m back.

Man did I take a long lunch!

I love puppies!

BF has a Boxer, and I really really want an AmStaff. SO CUTE. Eventually I also want a Rottie mix.

My aunt and my grandma both have standard Schnauzers and they are AWESOME dogs. Cute, smart, funny, and playful. I wouldn''t mind having one of those at some point.

LOL--he likes dogs okay, he just doesn''t think one would fit with our lifestyle (aka we both work tons of hours). It''s actually a fair point.

I can''t imagine not having a dog now. She''s such a part of everything, its weird. It''s like having a kid, without all the crying, and lack of sleep.

Not exactly like a kid, but you know what I mean.

whoohoo! i come back to cute doggie pictures, and one of the girls had her papillion at the picnic. i can''t wait til i can get one :) it''ll look hilarious next to the shepherd FF is going to get.

3 more B! you can do it!!
