I can''t imagine not having a dog now. She''s such a part of everything, its weird. It''s like having a kid, without all the crying, and lack of sleep.

Not exactly like a kid, but you know what I mean.
No, not exactly. Dogs are better!
41.gif
You may be right about that my friend. I forget, do you guys want kids?

Agreed. S and I don''t want children, just a pooch or two

i''m getting as many fuzzies (and not quite so fuzzies: i''m gettin a snake and naming it fluffy) as FF will allow. kidwise i originally wanted two, but the boy wants 3 (one of each he says) so i said no more than three, so i''ll prolly get quadruplets for saying that.

I love puppies. I can''t go through life without mine, and others. They just make the world a better place. I plan on having around 15 bajillion dogs, and no kids.

I prefer wet noses to stinky diapers, what can I say?

Hahah, you are not alone. And at least they don''t need a babysitter to go out to dinner.

Ditto.

I do want a kid or two, though... as long as they don''t get in the way of the dogs!

I sometimes wonder how my dog is going to like having a baby in the mix. We''re all about her right now, so I imagine it will be a transition. Especially since she''s so spoiled...

I can''t help it though. I absolutely

her!

hey B, you hit 3,000!

I wonder about that too. I also wonder how my cats will relate to a dog.

I've thought about this. S and I have a cat right now (who strongly feels he's a dog), but he's SPOILED rotten and doens't get along with any animal he's ever come in contact with (however, he is a people whore). So as much as we want a dog, it'll have to wait until Darwin has passed, because he is our pride and joy and he won't like the new guy at all. He's about 7ish years old now, so we've got a long way to go before we get a dog.

ETA: Unless he gets way chilled out in his old age. But I'd never want him to think he was less loved or something because we spent more time (ie: car rides, etc) with the pooch instead of him.

today''s going fairly slow for me too. leave in about an hour and a half to get in the school before they lock it and wait for another hour til i can teach my lesson.

at least after that time''ll hopefully fly so tomorrow evening can get here quicker!

What do you teach?

oboe lessons. i currently have one student but will be picking up another next week. i''ve taught clarinet as well but don''t have any students right now

Ooo, fun. So you''re into music then? What all can you play?

hehe i suppose you could say i''m into music, both my parents were music majors and i currently am working on my BA in music (i''m going back to school later when i''m ready to do homework again for something sciency like i originally started with)

what i can play at a performance level: oboe, clarinet (all sizes), english horn, sax (alto and tenor), recorder, and bassoon (with a refresher on the fingerings)

others i can play passingly: piano (i had to take 2 years worth when i was an ed major), trumpet, trombone, and euphonium (yay brass tech)

i can do some percussion, and i''m going to learn strings better and the french horn at some point, possibly flute, and i''m trying to bug some of my vocalist friends to help me sing properly

I played the euphonium in middle and high school!

I played the euphonium in middle and high school!

it was fun to play
9.gif
that''s the instrument i was on at the end of the semester so it''s what i got to play for the brass tech performance at the christmas party. our euphonium player is trying to switch to trombone (she''s not a music major) so we will be euphoniumless soon. our music department''s dieing though
7.gif
but it''s kinda their own fault

euphoniums get a looooot of cool parts

JEEZO today is dragging. Probably because I don''t want to do any of the work I know I have to get done.

hopefully the work-day will be over in a couple hours for you
5.gif
then just tomorrow til the weekend!

PSA for all you 30 day shredders:

If you do yoga right after the shred, it doesn''t hurt as bad. I just did level 2, followed by a DVR''ed episode of Namaste Yoga (on FitTV), and I don''t even feel like Jillian kicked the hell out of me today. I feel....good.

Yay for feeling good! I''m hoping to take advantage of the nice weather this weekend and do some outdoor exercise...I''m thinking a few hours of tennis, going running, maybe going for a hike? Ah, bliss!

I wish I could exercise outside! It''s waaaaay too hot/humid here. I decided to lay out for about 20 minutes today, and I was sweating buckets. Can''t imagine what actual movement would feel like.

Someone guess what the highlight of my day has been thus far?
