So he got me a mirror for my birthday, which was super sweet because he knows I really wanted one. But it wasn''t my style, so we took it back.

AND guess what? We went to get my ring resized! So I don''t have pictures tonight, but it''s due to be done either tomorrow or Saturday. I''ll post pictures when it finally fits my finger!

You''re not the only one, I totally do that too! Which then sucks, because I can''t sleep on planes. And from now on, I''m not allowed to sleep on planes even if I could!

I love travelling, though, so it''s always fun.

why won''t you be allowed to sleep on planes any more (in the event that you could)?

traveling is a lot of fun. i have a layover in cinci on my way up, and i''ve only been in that airport once. my return has a 40 minute in memphis. i definitely don''t mind the smaller airports when it comes to finding my gate, but when i have lengthy lay overs i definitely prefer o''hare and atlanta

Happiness is far better than money. Money means nothing when you dread your job... at least for me.

oh i agree 100%. I had a VERY well paying job that i hated going to. it was slow, i was always alone, and depressed and didnt care one iota about the job. i quit it after a year.

Yeah it sucks. I don''t know how people can ever be slaves to their jobs just to make money. When I''m miserable at work, it really makes me miserable.

I''m not a big "success" person. I just want a job that makes decent money, where I feel like I''m making a difference, and I don''t go home miserable or cry in the mornings because I dread going to my job.

Blech.

its no where near my final off time today... in fact, its 12 hours away!!!

So I had a mini freak out last night. I feel like I''m not going anywhere, like I''m just stagnant and not progressing towards my goals at all. I also feel like a freak because everybody around me is buying a house/getting engaged/getting married/having kids and I just feel like a little kid and totally NOT an adult who is ready for that kind of stuff. Seriously. The two 22 year olds I work with own homes and one is a mom, the two 25 year olds own homes, and the 24 year olds are all engaged or married. Nothing like that to make you feel like a freak for not being ready for any of it. I was talking about all of this and BF looked at me like I''d grown two heads.

"Honey, you''re not going to feel like an adult until you get your Masters. How long have you been dreaming about that?"
"Since I was 14."
"Exactly. You haven''t accomplished the goals you set for yourself, and you don''t feel right until you accomplish your goals. That''s just how you are. So, look, you''ll graduate with that at what, 27? 28?"
"Yeah."
"And when do you think you''ll be ready to get married?"
"I dunno...4 or 5 years?"
"Which is when?"
"After I....oh God, I''m NOT a freak! You''re right."

Thank goodness for having him around. I get crazy sometimes, and he can pull the subconcious motivation to things and lay it out and have it make sense. So we decided to sign up for community college courses, and I''m going to study for the GMAT and then take courses for my MBA here for a little while, because my company will pay for them. In the mean time, I can take French classes because that''s another goal I want to accomplish. I''m just one of those types that has to have something to reach for, I guess.
