As a PS side benefit, though, it means I''ll know when to put myself on the list! I figure there''s no reason to be on the list if I''m not actively expecting it, since I''m not really waiting for it right now. But the day we decide to move in together, you''ll see my name at the bottom of the list.
10.gif

I jumped on that list FAST. The minute ''Umm.. engagement? Sure...maybe... someday... '' came out of his mouth, I was on the list.

On the plus side, I get to remind FF every time I move up, and that if I hit number 1... he''s in trouble!

I did that, without telling him what the numbers were I''d send him an IM with like 55 and a heart. He got so irritated at me when I wouldn''t tell him what is was about we got into a HUGE argument. Like almost breaking up or me moving out argument.
38.gif

Holy cow. That''s nuts! He really got that irritated??
YES....it was bad. I kinda told him what it was about and said you getting mad at me over THIS. We talked it out but yeah. He gets upset over the stupidest stuff.

Aw princess! That sounds awesome!!!!

That''s a cheap zoo. Our local zoo is $30/pp!!!!! Please post some pics of the animals!!! Have an awesome time!!!

I went to the local museum 2 weeks ago on their free day. I was surprised that there weren't as many people there as I expected. It actually worked out rather well. All but for one exhibit we wanted to see but turns out we needed tickets for a time to get in.
14.gif
We got tickets (which were also free) but it was for much later in the day so we ended up leaving. Lucky for me, they have another free day at the end of the month. Maybe we will go back.

I gotta save money where I can!

$30/pp? Yikes. I was thrilled our zoo is so cheap. It might rain tomorrow, which would be really disappointing, but BF said he''s up for at least trying. The worst that happens is that we end up on a mini road trip to nowhere, and I love those!

DG, I hope you get to see the exhibit next time. One of my good friends is living with her BF in Paris (his job transferred them from Amsterdam) and we realized the day we got together in Paris that it was Friday, which is free after 6 PM for EU residents under 26. Would have been good if a) I was an EU resident and b) we''d remembered before 10 PM! But she said since they moved there 2 months ago she goes every Friday. She figures this way it''s cheap and she can be sure she sees everything! Hopefully by the next time we see her, BF and I will be living in the EU and we can get in for free, too.

I don''t know if you gals use Bank Of America, but if you do, they usually have free museum days with a credit or debit card.
Here''s the site if you use them

Wow, I had no idea! I use Bank of America and never heard of this! I''ll definitely be taking advantage of it now that I know.

Thanks!

You''re welcome star. I haven''t used it yet, lol!!

But they do offer it the first weekend of every month. It''s awesome if you have museums in your area.
Princess, how was the zoo with bf?

The zoo was awesome! I've got a few pictures. I took a little over 100, lol. But here are some of the good/funny ones...

Riding an elephant statue (I'm trying to win the Kentucky Derby on this guy...think it'll work?)

BF shows me how to properly ride a rhinoceros

And my favourite sea lion

I went to the zoo last week and I took like 200 pics with my phone... THEN I lost my phone with ALL the pics on the airplane.
I was so bummed.

Your pics are so adorable

Love the zoo pics! So much fun. I'll have to visit our zoo soon...it's supposed to be awesome and it's free.

OMG you have awesome pics.

i love the sea lion.

good morning everyone!!

hope you all had a good weekend!

Good Morning Everyone!

Princesss, fun pictures! Now I want to go to the zoo!

How was everyone''s weekend? Do anything fun?

Elle, I can honestly say I had probably the laziest weekend of my life. And I loved it
1.gif
All I did was a spot of shopping and a few interesting baking attempts. I was home alone, and ALL my girlfriends were up in Dublin at a match for the weekend. I was gonna go, and I decided at the last minute I wanted a little "me time" (I'm one of those people who says yes to everything and am usually stretched a little thin).

I feel like a new woman

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me, Porridge! What did you attempt to bake? I''m hungry...

mine was good - finally got the carpets wetvac''d. hopefully the dog will not decide to ruin it, as well a E (forgetting to take his work boots off!!).
its amazing how nice the carpets looked. Although i did tell E not matter how much i want a steamer vac, he is not allowed to get me one for Christmas or my birthday. fortunately he is a smart guy
12.gif
.

We went beer tasting instead of wine tasting this weekend, and then back to a friends house for BBQ. so, forgetting that i havent had any beer for 2 weeks.. well... sunday morning was a little rough. after waking up at 6 to take a cab home (fortunately only 10 minutes away), i went back to bed and set my alarm for 9 so i could finish cleaning the apartments. i woke up at 11
6.gif
. E eased the pain by taking me shopping

What did you do?

Oooh... Wet vac! I should really do that on my carpet... so much work, though!
14.gif

LOL to the getting you one for Xmas/Bday. I don't know why guys think practical gifts are romantic? My ex boyfriend bought me a can opener and a USB hub one year.
23.gif

BBQ sounds fun, except for the post-beer morning after. I never drink anymore. The older I get, the more the pain of the morning after outweighs the benefits of getting inebriated. Sigh. Being an adult sucks.

I... had a small get-together with some friends/FF on Friday night. Saturday I went shopping with a girlfriend of mine and then stayed home Saturday night watching dirty dancing while FF worked on his computer. Sunday we walked around downtown, got a nice lunch, and drove through the neighborhoods where we want to buy a house soon. It was a nice weekend.

Princess, awesome pics!!!! The elephant pictures are so cute!!!
Yay for the shopping!!! What a way to spend the weekend!!! Anyone get anything?? FI and I went to the mall on Friday, and I bought nothing
39.gif

FI and I worked on dad''s house, putting up molding and planting flowers. Dad is getting ready to sell soon, so we''re helping him fix up.

Morning everyone
1.gif
Sounds like everyone had a great weekend.

Mine was supposed to be laid back but got busy towards the end. Saturday went out for breakfast, and then went for a run with FI in the woods. Started out rainy but turned into a really nice day. Sunday we slept in and then decided to do some ''light spring cleaning.'' LOL God, what a mistake. It took us literally from 11AM until 10:30PM, AND we only did our bedroom! We got rid of so much stuff. I think we counted 11 garbage bags full of clothes, books, trash and just junk. Now the bedroom looks amazing, so we are going to do the rest of the house this week, tackling one closet a day. I am still in shock of how much crap we hold on to! Not anymore though.

GOODMORNING LADIES!

I worked all weekend, and pulled a 14 hour shift yesterday, and my SO is sick.
I'm going to daydream about having a lazy weekend
4.gif

Well, good news, ladies. My coworker is engaged! Yay for him! I''ve been teasing him for a month or two about how he''d better hurry up, but he finally popped the question. Another coworker just got back from his honeymoon, so it''s just a whole bunch of lovey-doveyness over here. I''m a big fan.

Yesterday was awesome. I love spending a whole day with BF. I get to do it sooooo rarely that it was just amazing to really hang out with him and be a goofball. It made me realize how much I miss him with this stupid opposite schedule thing we''ve got going on right now. He''s starting to work 6 days a week next week, and his only day off will be Tuesdays. I''m just hoping he''s able to find another job soon. It probably won''t happen, but I''m anxious for this whole waiting tables thing to be over.

we attempted to do the same.... only managed to get the carpets cleaned though!!!

Happy Monday ladies!!!

It''s a BEAUTIFUL day in Denver. I''ll be going out for my daily walk in about an hour. I try to take 3 15 min. walks a day to get away from the office.
2.gif

Speaking of walks, FF and I went around a lake yesterday scouting it out (for fish) because he loves to go fishing (catch and release). I''ve got some fishing photos of us in my Who''s Who thread. We always laugh because he''s from Minnesota (the land of 10,000 lakes) so of course he loves to fish like a little Huck Fin. Colorado doesn''t have nearly as many lakes as Minnesota does. So when he moved here he taught me how to fish (which is crazy because I''m such a girly-girl you know...) Anyway, I''ve NEVER caught a fish in all these years which is hilarious really....I usually change the lures to the pretty/sparkly ones and just cast them out and reel them back in. If I catch any gunk from the water, I usually find a rock or stick to pull it off with (that stuff is disgusting) And that sums up DG''s fishing. lol We plan on getting fishing liscenses this season so I''ll let you know if I ever catch anything. That would be THE day. I think the fish know I really don''t want to catch them just like they don''t want me to catch them either. ha!
3.gif

BUT BACK TO MY POINT, I digress
20.gif
... yesterday at this lake we saw a turtle! I''ve never seen a turtle like that other than at a zoo or a pet store. We left the camera in the car though so no photos.

princesss- Your adorable! Looks like you had a great time!

I''m glad your new job is going well.

Thanks for thinking of me....that''s so sweet! I''d love to see your ''look'' after the wedding if you were to post pictures. Which style are you going with? Her hair in the beginning of the movie or that cute half pin-up style mid way thru?

I was just telling the ladies in our April small talk thread...there''s been A LOT going on. My boyfriend lost his job of almost 10 years at the beginning of April. He''s been busy looking for something else but thus far...nothing
20.gif
Hopefully something will come around soon enough. At least sometime after he gets a new job, I''ll bet he will be able to save some for a ring! Either that or save for his masters degree...then the ring. lol

Also, his grandma had a stroke at the beginning of March and he was actually out there (MN. from CO.) visiting her for 2 weeks. When he came back he was back at work for a week...that''s when they laid him off. Can you believe it? Grandma is now in a nursing home and isn''t doing too well. She hasn''t improved much and has poor health to begin with. So I don''t know what will happen with her next.

On the bright side, my job was talking about possible layoff''s but we are now not going to have to take that action and I''m safe. So that''s a good thing!
Oh Dreamgirl! I am so sorry that so many things have happened in such a short span of time! I am sure that your BF will find a new job and will be very happy. I''ve heard about a lot of people losing their jobs only to end up in a position they like much better - either they get a better pay rate or the environment is better or their role changes and they end up really liking the new experience. Stay positive about things and I am sure the pieces will fall into place.

I am also going through a similar experience with my grandfather. We had to move him into a nursing home and his health is declining very steadily. In mid May he is scheduled to have a blockage removed from his leg and there''s doubt as to whether he will survive the procedure and if he is able to survive they are unsure if they will be able to save his leg or if they will have to amputate it. So, the outlook isn''t good and I''ve accepted that. I just focus all my hopes that he transitions from this existence to the next one peacefully and comfortably. I also hope that my father is back in the US and is not still in Saudi Arabia or another part of the Middle East when my grandfather''s time to pass comes. I would never want my father to have to suffer through a 22 hour flight because his father passed away. Too sad to think about.

It''s great that your job is safe. I hope that you do not have to face any more possible layoff worries! I hope things start to turn around for the better - I always feel like Spring is a perfect time for renewal an growth for us as well as nature. Seems like during spring - good things start to happen!
