I feel so much better knowing that I''m in good company re: the Ugg situation. I also loaded up on the Patagonia down jackets this winter, but forgot to address my feet and now they are in a permanent state of shock and are crying out for those Uggs. What colour(s) do you have?

My favorite gift which was not sparkly at all, and not expensive, was a cupcake book and a new cupcake carrier. I never would''ve thought of these. So random, and so me. Another way my new jewelry thinger. I was running out of room and this thing is perfect.. and cute.


Now for something REALLY SILLY... Bf''s family is just....... weird. They are always planning for impending doom and gave him veggie seeds. But wait, the fun doesn''t stop there. They gave him enough to grow 1 acre worth of food. He lives (and me in a month) in an area where people only have patches of grass. If impending doom were to happen, he''d have to tear up the street and go from there. My mom joked she was going to return the gifts she got him and get a hoe and rake

. Oh and the seeds are good until 2050. AAAANNDD this is the second time he has gotten seeds like this from them.

thanks Steph and Tacori !!... we are in no rush to move... i want to paint some of the rooms and get our shutters made. i figure slowly during the month of January...hoping to be done by Feb or partway through Feb. Greg had an idea to move a room at a time which actually makes a ton of sense, esp since some rooms are moving as is ... so we can pack up one room then move it, unpack it..etc. we'll see. half the fun is the move right? NOT!!! haha.

btw miss Lorelei....i wanna see that bag!!

Pandora ~ everyone wears them here, too - I''m just slow on the uptake, especially when it comes to fashions from the eighties.

Ditto Harriet, no offense to Ugg lovers whatsoever

, but they have to be the least leg-flattering footwear (right up there with Crocs, which I confess to wearing in the summer

). Now that I live in the Pacific NW, I am acutely aware that I have been missing out on all that cushy fleece goodness!

I doooo like the ones you posted, Harriet, but I don''t think they''d be as slipperlicious as the original, flatter soles. I was test driving some tonight and think I''ll be ordering the black classics as well. The other colours made me look like Shrek. No offense to Shrek-lovers, either. Tee-hee.

Everybody got such awesome gifts! My family really spoiled me this year. I was in the hospital the day before Christmas Eve and I think they just decided to go crazy to make me feel better. Hubby and I talked about just doing a $50 limit this year because we didn''t need anything, but we both went over. I found him a great deal on a stainless steel grill that he LOVED. He got me a new kitchen table and light fixture that goes with it. Our son got me an ipod and my mom and dad got me a new Coach bag. My fiance got me the J.Crew Odile small bag in coral reef.

Funny story - I saw the purse go on sale, with another 30% off coupon. I sent this to him...and a week later I see that it is sold out. Knowing that he ALWAYS waits until the last minute, I''m like "darn, that purse was sold out." he looks online and goes, "yeah, that looks really sold out."

Turns out he had already bought it for me, the day after I sent him the link. Silly boy

We also bought each other a 42" plasma that finally went on sale on amazon! It arrives Jan. 7th.

Here''s the purse. I managed to get the bag, flowers AND christmas tree in the shot. Only thing better would have been somehow also including my e-ring...

The new place is a totally remodeled 60 year old ranch brick home that is in a cute town about 10 minutes from us. It''s got an excellent elementary very close by...as well as a good-sized yard for me and Portia to play in.
