basically, DH is a lawyer with a smaller firm that does not offer a group plan. I am still on the (excellent) group plan from my old employer, which I am only eligible for until 6/2011. It would be next to impossible to get on an individual plan while pg, so we are trying for a few months and then we will wait until we get established on our own plan (which we can do earlier than 6/2011 but are unlikely to until the fall). Ack, typing that out freaked me out a little! Haha, I am sure it will all work out. Don''t worry about keeping up with the thread, we are all glad you are here! I cant keep up very well either.

******************

So, at the risk of being "that girl" who cries wolf, I think I saw a line on my HPT this morning. All day yesterday I felt like I was getting sick or something, I literally slept 80% of the day. Nbd, I am still adjusting to my new work sched. But I decided to POAS this am (8dpo, temps slightly up again), and I swear to god I saw a faaaaiiiint line. Now, I know last month I saw an evap line so idk what to think. This one, however, was up within 2 minutes (test says 3). DH couldnt see it, but he was also half asleep. I tried to get a pic but no luck. I am not too terribly excited yet, but I am going to pck up some first response and digis today when I run errands.I really really dont want to get too excited yet, and I dont want to false alarm my TTC buddies for the second time and have you guys think I am nuts!

fingers crossed MIcksa!!!! Hope the line is still there and darker tomorrow!!!!

Hey Ladies,

It looks like it is hopping on here this weekend! Glad to see some new faces and some old ones popping in to say hello
9.gif
. Unfortunately, I don''t have time right now to write a long message, but I did want to let you know that unfortunately, the fat lady showed her ugly face. Boo.

It''s all good though, b/c now I know and I can move on to the next BD''ing marathon this month. That''s never a bad thing, right? Plus, I get to have some beers and such with the in-laws at the BBQ today.
1.gif
.

Quickly, Houie, I''m sorry about AF showing up too, but I think Feb is going to be our month.
2.gif

Krissie: Hang in there honey. Fingers crossed!

Miscka: I really hope that was a line you saw. Lots of dust for you and let us know what happens tomoorrow.

So, to update myself:

Oh, Miscka, I hope this is the beginning of a BFP for you!! Be sure to test first thing tomorrow and let us know!!!

DCGator, so sorry that it is not your month. But, enjoy the beer & BBQ today! DH and I decided that the official way we will mark AF is oysters and bloody mary''s
9.gif
Two things that I adore and would not be able to enjoy if I were PG!

You ladies make me smile every day. Group hug!!

So, I''m 13 DPO, my temp is up and my cervix is still high, so I decided to test with an IC today. Negative, without a doubt! After a pancake breakfast, I was cleaning out the bathroom and found some other test - I think it was the Target brand - and I think I see the faintest of evap lines! (I assume it''s evap, because I didn''t start scrutinizing the test until after my shower, which was about 10 minutes). It''s only visible at weird angles, and there''s a weird other spot at the bottom of the test window, so I think it''s a flawed test. But, when I hold a light behind it, I definitely see a faint shadow. When I look directly down at it, though, it''s bright white.

AF is due tomorrow or Tuesday. I fly out Tuesday early AM for a tropical work/vacation sans DH. I''ll take a digi with me just in case I don''t get AF by the end of the week, but I''m still thinking she''s on her way. The IC''s are so sensitive, and at 13 DPO I would have thought something would have appeared.

Off to get a mani/pedi

Miscka... Ooh, the line sounds promising! 8dpo is so early, too!! Dust, dust!

DC - so sorry about AF. Enjoy the beer! You and Houie could be preggo buds next month!

Krissie - best of luck Tuesday. Vacations seem to have baby vibes around here!

Krissie, two thoughts. If you are sure your Target one wasnt expired, I would DEF put more weight on it than the IC. I had a real reality check when I checked out the Wondfo (IC) gallery of BFPs on FF. They are REALLY light on all the ones people posted before like 16dpo. Go check it out, its pretty crazy. That''s why I bought some FRERs today, because I am not sure I can stay sane w such a faint line!

Here is hoping we both get BFPs for sure soon, and if not next months lookin good, too!!
9.gif

AF paid me a visit this morning - so I''m CD1!

May is going to be a great month - how can it not be, when I get to spend the next few days drinking pina coladas?
5.gif

I am so grateful to Eva and FF - in the 2 cycles I''ve been using both, I''ve confirmed O twice and confirmed a 13 day LP. I feel so empowered knowing exactly what''s happening in my body. Of course, the next step is wanting my body to actually *produce* something, but DH and I should have a better idea of what''s going on by June.

So, I''m cautiously optimistic for the next month. Hugs to you all!!
1.gif

Hello to whomever I miss in advance.

blondebunny: Save that money! Work that body! Cardio & yoga & eating well sounds like a great plan to me. Don't overcomplicate things. And I have no advice but good luck with the MIL.

HOU: Your symptoms were such a tease. Shame on them.

Krisse: The small practice OB sounds better than a 20 minute wait. Enjoy those pina coladas!

Charbie: You're a wonderful cheerleader. Looking forward to cheering you on when you're ready.

husky: How's the wait going? Sighing for you...

noelwr: Glad you got adopted, and snorkeling no less!

fisher: We're pretty far east, about an hour from the beach (this is me being vague so no one knows where to find me and steal my beautiful sapphire

2.gif
). Seriously though, if you ever come back down to the beach, let me know (maybe admin a message or something) and we'll have a date! *Same goes for my other TTC ladies, just not random passersby scanning the internet!*

Bella: At least yall "tried" to have a go at it, some of us get tired and don't even try, much less "finish." Hope you have a pleasant surprise anyways.

Miscka: That preg tool can be a temptress, but I hope she's right. If you are trying to be a blind optimist, I can try too. And I hope you did really see that line!

Kunzite: Debbie Downer, my foot. You might have missed O-1, but 0-2 is awesome.

CatLuver & inhisarms: Glad yall are cycle buddies now!

steal: Definitely we should start a mutual fund for pee sticks. And, yay ovulation!

36.gif
Who would have thought we'd all be in a situation where the O we're looking for is not the O everyone else strives for
30.gif

dcgator: That fat lady singer is a real meanie sometimes. But, what kind of beer did you get to drink at the BBQ?

___

So...AF still hasn't shown her ugly face. I'm now on CD34, which is long for me. But I tested Sunday and it was blazingly negative. Weird. Can stress/anxiety push back the luteal phase? I don't think ovulation was delayed... Now that I've written this AF will probably show up.

We had a birthday luncheon for DH's grandmother at our house yesterday and MIL brought wine. I declined for THIS reason, and also because I was sweating and standing in front of a hot oven. Wine makes me warm (even one glass) so I say this, and she responds, "Or are you declining because of another reason? (wink wink)" I wanted so badly to say, "I WISH!" Oh well. Hopefully soon.

ps. I can't for the life of me find the "my account" button on here. Where is it located so I can update my email and stuff like that?

Hiya, once you''re logged in, click on personal section then edit, that should sort you out.

Oh, I''m on cd5 now, oh how time flies.

Hope you''re all well and bd''ing til your hearts content.

I will definitely do that, Plantation. I remember you back from the TTC days, and I bet you and Paul could have a good time talking about city planning/architecture. All that talk is lost on me.
9.gif

Wow, I''m hoping you get a second line in a day or two, lady!!

9.gif

Well my wait is finally over...CD 1 for me today.
40.gif

I can''t say I''m really that surprised, after the BFNs I had I figured it had to be coming sooner or later.

I''m not sure when we will officially "officially" start trying, but my family is definitely putting the pressure on. Here''s to hoping that you will all have BFP''s and be off in the preggo thread by the time I''m back to officially trying
1.gif

*crickets*

Plantationcatt??? Miscka??? We need to break the record of BFP''s in a month!

huskylover, sorry about AF.

huskylover, sorry about AF.
Oh I meant to post that as well to huskylover and krissie -- sorry about AF. Hopefully this cycle will be the one and will go faster!

It''s official for me: my IUD was removed today - the first round of standard pre-conception blood work is off at the lab and DH and I are beginning our journey.

I had a very regular cycle - but I am uncertain how having the IUD has impacted things. My Dr. and I discussed how the IUD and its effects differ from person to person more specifically some women ovulate with one in place, others do not. DH and I are in the first phase - I''ve tried to chart but because I have very disruptive sleep (typically less than 3 hours at a time with a lot of tossing and turning) my charts are not easy to decipher. My OB suggested an Ovu Watch. I figure I will give myself a few months to see what happens to my cycle and then explore alternative tracking methods. I don''t want to discourage myself right off the bat if my cycle is a bit wonky from having the Mirena removed. For now, I just want to enjoy the first time in 14 years I''ve gone without some form of Birth Control - it feels incredibly liberating!

I''m excited about our decision. I hope the journey continues to be fun and enjoyable!

KTF, DH and I had my Mirena removed a month ago this Sunday, so welcome to TTC and I hope your stay is short!!

Not much going on here. 10DPO, BFN on FRER this am, but temp went up? Also a posibble BFP/evap line on a IC. I''ll keep you guys posted. I am trying not to read into much, but its hard since my bbs STILL hurt and I have other "signs". We''ll see! I have another FRER reserved for 12 or 13 DPO.

Hey Ladies,

Sorry that I have been away so long, but it was hard to get into a real post with so much to do/people to see when in TN. Well, as I mentioned before, the bad news is I got AF, but the good news is that I got to enjoy some Downhome Punch and Bud Lights with Lime, and I ran the half. So, overall, I would say it was a pretty good weekend.
1.gif
I am, of course, looking forward to this month''s BD''ing marathon next week, and maybe a bit of "practice" before that.
12.gif

Now to plethora of activity that happened over the weekend:

Plantationcatt: I
30.gif
your new puppy. He is so CUTE! I just want to hug him. And good luck on a possible BFP. Lots of sticky dust!

Blondebunny: Sounds like quite a lot going on. I would agree with pp''s that you should take care of you now and get yourself in great shape. Then, you will be ready to roll when BM time comes! I would recommend What to Expect Before You''re Expecting as a rough guide to the things you should be considering before getting KU. Good luck with everything.

Houie: Sorry again about the BFN, but maybe that means we are going to be pregnancy buddies next month
9.gif

Krissie: Sorry about your BFN. But, you can join Houie and I on the BFP train in May
2.gif
. Good call on the OBGYN and your DH''s Dr. appt. It sounds like you guys are getting everything in order for getting KU! Oh, and I love the oysters idea. I may have to go get me some too
3.gif
I hope you enjoy your trip!

Charbie: I am sorry again about everything, but it sounds like you are moving toward some peace with the whole thing. I hope that you will continue to post b/c we love having you around
4.gif

Huskylover: Sorry about your BFN. Hopefully you can get some better results in the coming month. Plus, now you get to have another BD''ing marathon, which is always fun!
2.gif

Noel: Glad to hear that you found someone nice to adopt you and you got to continue to enjoy Florida. I am also happy to heat that you will finally get to go back home. As much fun as vacation is, it''s always nice to go back home
4.gif
. No pressure to leave us, we love you here. Stay as long as you want.
2.gif

Bella: I am sorry to hear that you are discouraged. I know this whole process can be a PITA sometimes, and I have only been trying a couple months. I think that your idea about the pleasant surprise is probably the best way to look at it. Either way, I hope that you DH gets some better sleep soon and that you guys have less stress in the coming weeks. (((Hug)))

Miscka: That is a bummer about your insurance, but do try not to stress too much about it, because I feel like the added stress will not make your LO feel to good
40.gif
. Of course, that is easier said than done, so I wish you lots of luck. So, any news on the HPT? Did you take another one yet? Even more sticky dust!

Kunzite: Any news?

Steal: That is indeed really exciting when you get your first confirmation of O. I remember thinking it was so cool that I knew what in the world was going on with me. Pretty awesome
10.gif
.

Keepingthefaith21: Welcome to the TTC ''hood. Enjoy your BC-free liberation and I hope you can gain lots of insight from the fabulous ladies here. Good luck with your first cycle!
9.gif

I''m back
9.gif
. We started TTC this month, I''m in my day 34 but since I''m pretty irregular I will wait longer before taking the test.

Hello friends!!

I gotta do a quick drive-by post tonight...I started my rotation in the PICU yesterday and whoooo boy, am I exhausted. It''s gonna be a long, busy month. Sorry about AF DCgator, Krissie, and Husky.

Miscka, I am so excited to hear what your FRER has to say in a couple days!! :) Good luck!!

Plantation....what''s the latest??

Nothing exciting to report here. I may not be as active on the thread this month while I''m in the PICU, but know that I''m at least lurking and sending tons of dust out to everyone!!!
9.gif

Grrrr--I think FF dropped a signal:-( I had it telling me O based on OPKs and CF. It did it last month, this month, when it was all said and done it gave me a fertile window of 7 days! and still hasn''t confirmed O...

I am 99% sure it happened on CD16 and I am now on CD 20...

FF, sometimes you stress me out
39.gif

Po, Apparantly it was just something weird with my account, but the admin fixed it. Thanks so much, I know where to go now!

fisher, We could totally talk!

husky, boo. Hope the family lays off a bit.

Lanie, I'm hearing the darn crickets too!

keepingthefaith, Welcome!

Miscka, Hoping the evap line was a real line!

dc, Yay for beer after a good run! And have fun practicing!

gaby, Welcome! Best of luck!

HOU, Aw, PICU is going to be long and busy for sure!

Bella, sorry FF is being mean.

___

Okay, FRER this morning gave me a BLAZING negative. Again. On CD36. With still no signs of AF.

Starting in April 09, my cycles have been:
32
34
32
30
30
32
39
32
31
30
30
...and now on 36

WTH?

pcapril.jpg

dcgator -- way to go on running the half!!!! That''s huge! I used to run, but never brought myself to running anything more than a 5K.

plantation -- did you do OPK''s this cycle? Have you ever done them or taken your temperature for a full cycle? The reason I ask is that I was having somewhat clockwork periods (for 3 months only), but was never ovulating. It''s a long shot, but could be the case. That''s quite a long time for no AF and no positive HPT though...I would personally get an appointment for next week and just cancel if you get a positive or if AF shows up.

bella -- don''t know about FF and giving you that window. Are you worried bc it hasn''t given you crosshairs?

miscka -- any news?

Welcome keepingthefaith21 and gaby06!

I still have no idea what is going on. I am continuously getting evap lines on my stupid ICs, but today I had some spotting I guess, so I think I am out? Temps still high but I am 11DPO now. Blah.

Sorry to post and run, hope everyone is well!

Micksa-I''m sorry it''s confusing, hope that things become clear in the next few days.

I found the FF button, somehow it had clicked off, so now FF thinks I Od on CD16 (just like I think)
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
I''ll call that a small victory. So, that means we BD O-3, so we''ll see. I''m 5 DPO but at this point am just planning on revving up the engines for next month...we were going to take a break, but DH is now really into this too and we just really want to start building our family, so we''re going to go full-steam ahead next month.
2.gif

35.gif
, it''s me, "that girl". LMAO, here I am at CD1, reflecting on this cycle.

I hereby RESCIND any recommendation I made for the cheapie tests. Idk if my batch just sucked, but I got an evap line within the time window on about 65% of the tests I took. Some of them were clearly evap, others weren''t. So lesson learned there! FRER or bust, haha! Also it was good to find out my LP, though it''s super short! Does anyone know what that means? I did have a 27 day cycle, but only 11 day LP.

I am sad, but also excited and ready for cycle 2! This time armed with some more knowledge, and I am also glad it will give us at least another month of dual income to put towards baby stuff, new car, etc etc.

Now, DH has his second to last law final tomorrow, then we are going out for some really big margaritas! Trying to think positive
10.gif

I hope everyone is doing well, so quiet in here!!!!

bella and other FFers, do you use the "advanced" setting on your FF? In advanced I got O on 16, in FAM I got 14 and research I got 19! Crazy. Bella glad you found the button, woohoo for full speed ahead!! DHs are insanely endearing when they get excited about babies and TTC, arent they??

Plantation, have you POAS again? Or did AF show?

HOU I hope PICU is going well!

Gaby, yay for starting TTC! Have you tested yet?

DCGator, AF sucks but beer is good! Haha, where in TN are you from?

Krissie I hope you are enjoying your trip!

35.gif
I'm back home from what turned into a 4-week vacation! nevertheless, we left the 2 of us and came back the 3 of us, so it's perfect.

sorry I couldn't answer everyone's questions earlier but I was checking from DH's google phone and not a quick typer on it. regarding my not wanting to post on the preggo thread has nothing to do with what has been going on there. I don't even read it so I wasn't aware of arguments. it's just different this time around and I feel really blessed despite what symptoms I might have, so I think everyone would get sick of me being Mrs. Positivity. plus I have no interest this time in googling and analyzing every little symptom I have. been there, done that, ya know?
2.gif

yes, I cheated and took HPTs with me on the cruise. and I'm glad I did! I waited til 9DPO til I tested (because the test didn't list its sensitivity) and got such a faint +, I wasn't sure, but it was definite the next day. once we got off the cruise, we e-mailed a photo to our families of the + HPT with the subject heading "Best Sight-Seeing Photo so far". DH's father didn't know what it was so MIL had to explain! again, different this time around telling our families. I wanted to let them know ASAP so that they can be there for us again just in case. they were so supportive last time.

Lanie - I think I am due anywhere between 20-23 Dec, but could always be earlier or later.

anyway, I know this is the TTC thread so I won't post any more about me, but I will keep supporting all you other ladies.

Miscka, was it a blue dye test you used? From what I heard, those things have been known to give false positives. Sorry about CD 1.
