Okay Allie and other Instead cup pros--I am getting brave and checking them out...it seems like there are a few diff kinds by Instead--which one should I get?

Bella...I purchased a box from CVS. I looked in many places such as Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Happy Harry''s and CVS was the only place that had them. They were in the feminine care aisle right next to the maxi pads and tampons. The box is pretty small and you can easily miss them. It is like a purpleish box with different colored dots on them if I remember correctly. Actually this is exactly what it looked like Instead Cups

I would definitely give them a try...I guess I feel like preseed, cups, taking soy, eating pineapple, though not PROVEN to work, can''t hurt KWIM?

thanks!!!

Yes, the O-A-D PNVs are pretty good. I take the CVS generic version because the DHA supplement isn''t fish-based so I don''t gag when I burp them up. They''re also a bit cheaper and smaller/easier to swallow.

But it sounds like you finally convinced him

I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months!

Okay, There was still no AF this morning, (I''m a week late) so I took my last test in the cabinet. It''s a FRER, and I didn''t see anything for a couple minutes, so I went out to take the dog to pee and five minutes (appox) later I think there''s a faint line. Can anyone tell me whether this is a real pink line or an evap? I''ve got a horrible cold, so it''ll be tomorrow morning before I get the strength to go out and get another test.
Plantationcatt, that looks like a BFP to me, so CONGRATULATIONS lady!
36.gif

I''m sorry to hear that you are sick, but hopefully you feel better today and were able to get another test, so you can get a brighter line.
2.gif
Do let us know when you take another test and when you tell your DH.

Congrats again and here is to a happy and healthy 9 months!

So, this was my month off - no fertility drugs. I loved the time away from my RE''s office too. No blood work, aside from my visit there on CD3. I continued with acupuncture, though. I had a massage, manicure and pedicure today, which was a nice treat.

Oh, and what else? Hmmm. I took a test when I got home . . . and, I can hardly believe it, but . . .

I''M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!

I know that you were really upset last month with all that went down, but it appears your body really did know best. I am so very happy that you got KU, and without all the drugs and IUI to boot!

Here is to a VERY HAPPY and healthy 9 months.

gaby, sorry about AF. Personally, I got anxious after month 1 bc I felt we did everything right, so there must be something wrong w/us since it didn''t work. But now I realize that''s silly and am trying to be more patient and put less pressure on myself. I think after 4-6 months total I''ll see about getting checked.

Thank you Cat Luver, I told my DH that this month he has to work harder

Hello ladies,

WOW, what a weekend! Congrats again to Kunzite, Plantationcatt and Loves Vintage on their BFP''s
36.gif
. What a way to kick off May!
9.gif
Hopefully you ladies have started a record-setting month for the rest of us
2.gif

Brightlight: Happy to see that you are still hanging in there. I understand the needing to step back, so do what works for you. Even though you aren''t super confident for this month, I am sending you lots of dust for a happy surprise next month
1.gif

Catluver: Sorry that you had a stressy week, I know how it goes.
14.gif
But, congrats on getting to the 2WW. As far as the exercising goes, just do what you do. Those little swimmers should get where they need to go one way or the other. As long as you aren''t doing any half marathons or hot yoga, I think you will be ok. Lots of sticky dust to you!

Bella: Have fun testing out your new strips
2.gif
. I am still hoping that you get a happy surprise this month. Fingers crossed for you!

Smurfy: Welcome (officially) to the TTC hood. I''m glad to hear everything is in order for you and you are ready to go! Good luck in your journey
35.gif

Modernsparkler: Welcome to you as well

. To answer your questions:
1.) I was on BC for 10 years and my cycles have been relatively "normal" since I stopped taking the pill in January. However, my normal appears to be cycles ranging from 25-30 days, with O coming from CD11-17. So, I guess they are more normal, rather than typical (28 days cycles), if that makes sense 2.) I find the OPK''s particularly helpful in confirming O, but more as a secondary indicator. Your temps are your best indicator, followed by the OPK. However, OPK''s can be expensive, so relying on them alone could be a costly way to guess your O date. 3.) No experience with preseed, but if I don''t get KU this cycle, that is where I am heading...

Houie: How you doing lady? I haven''t heard from you in a couple days so I thought I would check in.
35.gif
Are you gearing up for your next prime time, or do you have a bit longer to go? I hope your PICU rotation is not working you too hard.

****
As for me, I started my OPK''s and had a faint 2nd line, so I think I am 2 or 3 days off; so time to get BD''ing
9.gif
. We "practiced" on Saturday, just in case I O early again though
2.gif
. Otherwise, I am super excited about all the BFP''s and hope that its contagious!
3.gif
Good luck to everyone.

Also, now that we have some people graduate from the list, I thought another update was in order. Smurfy and Modernsparkler, feel free to add yourselves on...

Oh wow! What a weekend!
I''m so excited for all of you ladies! How amazing...I think that''s a record # of BFPs in one day. Looks like this is shaping up to be an amazing month!

LV...I have to ask, what do YOU think did it for you guys this month? I mean, going a month with no intervention, especially when they cancelled it...how did ya guys pull it off???? I''m so over the moon for you!

congrats to all on the BFPs!!!

LV, you''ve definitely encouraged me to stick with my acupunturist (even though it''s getting a bit expensive week after week!)

so i''m on my first clomid cycle and my doc said i''m nowhere near ovulation (no follicles are developing). so i''m gonna take prometrium, wait for AF, and start all over again. it''s a bit disappointing but i''m staying positive. i know it''ll happen someday.

have a great week everyone!

Congrats to all the BFP''s - what a great way to kick off the spring season!

Thanks for the Instead info - that is very good to know about! I will certainly be looking into getting a box or two - if nothing else for the clean-up factor.

I love Preseed but also experienced the too much factor - I was shocked to be honest. DH and I used an oil based lubricant prior to TTC and I never realized how much thicker it was.

Currently I have no idea what is going on with my body. I am just shy of a week with my IUD removal and everything has gone completely haywire - in fact, things are so out of wack I am now keeping two charts - one figureing the post removal flow was temporary and NOT indicative of a period and therefore I should expect my true AF about on time and a seperate chart tracking the beginning of this flow as an actual period. I figure it would be better to cover all my bases.

Hopefully my body will straighten itself out to easier to track status in 6 to 8 weeks. Oddly enough I never got a positive OPK but BDed when I expected to O anyway. My temps are back up (3 days in a row)- so I have absolutely no clue what my body is doing! I feel like I am playing a big game of Clue slowly checking clues off on my "notebook" and ruling out possible suspects and locations one by one by one...

Sweetlime: What dosage did your doc have you on? I started with 100mg Clomid from days 3-7 and it did NOTHING. Some ladies are Clomid resistant, and I apparently was. He switched me to Femara which was great...less side effects too! Are they going to up the dosage of Clomid? Stay positive....you are one cycle away from figuring everything out. I was in your shoes and felt like crying my eyes out when I went in for the u/s, thinking there would be some nice ripe follies in there, and there was nothing. It will happen...be lucky you are getting u/s to determine if you are ovulating or not...they def speed up the process!!!!

LV, that''s exactly how i feel whenever i go in for an u/s! and i''m always wondering what i''m doing wrong....is it my diet? am i relaxed enough? i dunno. *sigh*. so I started on 50mg, but for my next cycle I will take 100mg. if the clomid doesn''t work, then i think he''ll switch me to an injectable. but things are good and thanks for sharing. good luck to you!

50mg isn''t that high. You have some wiggle room, so it could still work. Don''t despair!!! And if Clomid doesn''t, they''ll find something that does!

Hi All,

Wow, I disappear for a little while only to discover so many BFP''s. How exciting! I''m not even sure how many I missed. Congrats to all!

AF arrived just in time for the weekend, on Friday. So I''m back to Day 4. I think we are going to move to IVF this cycle. We feel ready and our doctor thinks it makes sense. So we''ll see. I guess they re-adjust your whole cycle. My final procedure won''t be until mid-June, actually, so we won''t know if it worked until the end of June.

In the meantime, I''ll be cheering on the rest of you ladies, hoping for lots of pregnancies between now and then.

caitlin

Hi Caitlin-Welcome back and best wishes on the IVF. I''m sure it is a bittersweet step and am sorry that thigns have not been working out, but I hope that it works for you on the first go round

Congrats to you ladies plantation, Kunzite and LV!!!
Lots and lots of dust to you ladies.

I agree w/ sweetlime.
I may have to give acupuncture a try.

I''ve read that drinking coffee really decreases your chances of conceiving. I''ve read you shouldn''t drink any at all and also that a few cups are ok. I generally drink only 1 cup, 2 cups if it the day just seems to draaaaaaaaag on (today I had 2 cups
7.gif
). Just wondering what the general consensus is here or what you''ve all heard.

Smurfy, I wouldn''t stress about coffee too much. The amount of caffeine in 1-2 cups should be fine (unless they''re from Starbucks
9.gif
). I decided to not worry about those ancillary things unless we had difficulty TTC. Otherwise, you tend to work yourself into a frenzy - at least IMO. As for prenatals, I take a cocktail because I have a hard time with Iron. However, I noticed this weekend that prenatals and a lot of other vitamins were super cheap at Walmart. The DHA I take was $3.00 less per 30 count at Walmart. I was so excited!

LV, yay for Instead! I only used 2 so now I have the rest of the box in my bathroom vanity. I waiting for someone to ask me what the heck they are!

Ditto Pupp. The only thing you should think about right now is eating well in general, getting good sleep, and getting it on. Seriously, don''t stress about it until you know there''s a problem. It''s counter-productive.

WOW! Thank you everyone for your comments!! I am having a super-busy day at work, so can''t post more now, but will definitely be back later tonight to answer questions and reply individually. Just wanted to pop in to say thank you!

LovesVintage:
I wanted to congratulate you……give you a big hoorah. I remember reading your post last month. You sounded defeated and I thought to myself, I hope she gets pregnant soon, she deserves it. Now look, here you are!!! Relish and enjoy these 9 months; the happy times and the m/s...enjoy.it.all.

PlantationCatt and Krunzite...Congrats to you too, ladies.

Smurfy…best of luck on your journey (I always enjoy reading your posts ).
