The Official TTC Thread!

Good morning ladies! Just a quick post for now as I'm on my phone. I did a clearblue digi this morning and got a bfn. Took a bit of the wind from my sails but I quickly got over it. As long as I have a definitive answer either way by the weekend, I'm good. I'm scheduled for oral surgery on Tuesday and I would need to speak with my ob/gyn before then about anesthesia and antibiotics.

Mischa, sorry to hear about your temp rise. I'll hope for a drop tomorrow but it sounds like you're confident O already arrived. I wonder what caused it to come so early. The mysteries of the human body boggles the brain.

CD-
14.gif
it is still really early though, so I would test again tomorrow. The digis are often less sensative.

Fisher-I forgot to say, that is so cool and encouraging about your friends!!!!!! Congrats to them, and I hope that you are next
2.gif

Micksa-That tricky little ovulation ogre
38.gif
Mine did that to me too in March. I was all psyched to try and make a vacation baby on our trip to California and for no reason I could see my body decided to O 4-5 days early (I am usually on CD15/16). I had O''d before we even got on the plane!!!! Grrr!!!

DH and I really loved Pre-Seed (though seriously, just a dab will do ya!)

I''m not sure about the Soy Isolflavone, but we''ll see how I feel in September:-) For the summer I am just going to use up my stash of PreSeed and Instead cups and have a lot of super fun, hot, summer BDing
31.gif

Morning ladies,

Happy hump day. The week is almost half way over, woohoo.
9.gif
. I hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Smurfy: I am really sorry to hear about the bad turn of luck with your DH''s job. I hope that he will be able to find a new job soon. Good luck and hang in there!

Parrot Tulips: I don''t know anything about progestrone levels, but it looks like you got some good info from some others. I hope that your Dr. is able to shine some more light on the situation and you can take care of any problems.

CDNinNYC: I am sorry about the BFN this morning on the digi, but I agree with Bella that I would try again in another couple days. I thought I saw a second line on the non-digi, so there is still hope
2.gif
. Please let us know how it goes!

Fisher: Yeah for your other friend. It must be something in the water, perhaps we should all drink some too
3.gif
. I am glad to hear that you are your DH are at peace with the whole process sans intervention. I think that with such a great attitude, you will have your LO soon.
12.gif
. Thank you for keeping us all in your thoughts and prayers and I hope that we can all be blessed soon with LO''s to spoil with love and affection
9.gif

Bella: I am sorry that you are still sick, but hopefully you will get back to full speed soon
4.gif
Have fun on your impending BD''ing marathon!

Catluver: Yeah, the whole friends getting KU 2 weeks after coming off the pill or getting KU on the second month trying is not helping right now,
20.gif
but I agree that it''s not good to focus on that, and so I am trying just to think happy thoughts
9.gif
. As far as the tests are concerned, if I don''t get a BFP this month, I think I am going to try the CD3 blood test next month and if we still aren''t pregnant after that, I will get DH to do the SA in August. My type-A personality will likely feel better knowing that I am doing something rather than nothing, and also to check those boxes off as "all good" or need to take some action. Hopefully we will not have to bother with any of that though and I will get my BFP in a couple weeks (Squuee just thinking about it!) How are you feeling though?

Miscka: I am sorry to hear about you early O. That sucks. In my experience, I have O''ed from day 11-17, but when I O later one month, I O sooner the next. So, maybe going forward, if you O on the later end one month, than expect a sooner O the next. Or, you can just try to start your BD''ing on CD10 and continue EED for the week or so. Good luck with the whole process!

****
As for me, FF gave me my confirmed O date of CD16, so I am officially 3DPO today. Although we bedded on 0-3, O-2, and O, FF only gave me a good rating. Grrr
29.gif
I don''t agree with her, since I think we should have a "high" rating, but that begs the question, what does FF expect of you to get a High? Whatever FF says, I think we did well this month and I am going to think lots of baby-like happy thoughts for the next 2 weeks!
9.gif
Plus, I am going to be on vacation the next week, so hopefully a potential little fertilized egg will enjoy a relaxed environment
3.gif
.

I know we have a couple ladies in their 2WW, and I wish you gals luck.
35.gif

I am also going to post the updated team roster next.

And here is the updated list:

Parrot Tulips, did you want to be added on?

Has anyone heard from Po or IHA? I haven''t heard/seen from them in a while. If you two are lurking, I hope all is well
35.gif

Brightlight, any action on your side?

Geri
, any news from the doc?

dc- thank you so much for the well wishes, seems like everytime things are starting to go right that something crappy happens
7.gif
OH well, I''ll just keep prayin and hoping for things to get better. Hope all is well with you!

Smurfy, I hope that things start to look up for you guys and am sorry things are so rough right now!

DC-Sorry you didn''t get the "high" rating, I am so going to try and get it this month too:-) I feel like I need to figure out what FF wants, sort of like when teachers "teach to the test"
3.gif
Yep, I am nerd of the utmost degree! I want to get an A in BDing from FF
20.gif
2.gif
3.gif

dc its my understanding that FF LOVES o-1 for ratings, but my fingers are super crossed for you!! VERY interesting your observation re: O date correlation, since I did O late last month it makes sense. DRAT! I normally start BD ED from 10 on, stupid out of town trip! I thought I was safe.

Bella glad to know I am not the only one that ever happened to!! I think preseed is ok, just d*** expensive! We used it last month but when we BD on O date this month I didnt use it or the Instead since I thought we were early yet for all that. Blah.

CDN sorry ab your BFN but I would take another non-digi, although I am a POASaholic, so take it with a grain of salt. LOL. I still think this could be your month!

dcgator - I''m still pulling for you girl! Don''t be discourged about the good rating. I had the exact same BD pattern as you the month I got my BFP, and I too was not happy with FF for denying me the high rating! I''m almost positive that you''ll only get a high if you hit O-1.

Ello.......I''m still lurking. Thanks DC for your shout out.

CDn - I agree, the digi''s aren''t as sensitive so try not to get too dispondent and I''ve everything crossed for you that it''ll be a big fat +ve by the weekend.

*********************

Well I''ve had a lovely UTI all week and feeling icky and with dh having shingles we have been unable to take advantage of my peaks which were on cd15/16.

We should have a big X on our door for the unclean house. So our intended break has been a forced natural one too with us being poorly.

I''m not overly worried as I want to get back on track on Monday with eating and exercise plan and there''s always next month or when we''re on our holibobs in August - not going anywhere, doing up the house, but away from work for 2 weeks where we can do what we want and we''ll be relaxed. On the babycentre board where I also post as well as the bfp''s on here, it appears that once the stress is removed the magic will happen.

So who''s got a holiday/vacation planned in the coming months?

Bella, Good luck on figuring FF out. I hope you can out smart her and show her that you are the star pupil
3.gif

Miscka, Thanks for the cheerleading. I am hoping that you are right
2.gif
. As for the O date, that has been my experience. It's not to say that it's the same for everybody, but I think it make sense and it has definitely proven its self duing my 6 cycles. It sounds like you still may have bedded during the fertile window, and I'm sure you can still get KU, even without all our handy "tools." In fact, it looks like you will be just one day behind me in the 2WW, so let's both think happy thoughts and see if we can't get lucky in the BFP department.
2.gif

Kunzite, Thanks so much for your experience. I really hope that I can be just like you and get my BFP without FF giving me a high. I will conquer it yet!
3.gif

Po, It's good to see you pop your head back in here.
35.gif
Sorry about DH and you both being sick, but hopefully it will pass soon. I wish you luck with getting back on the healthy train on Monday. That vacation in August for two weeks sounds great and hopefully it will do the trick. I have my vaca all next week, so hopefully the eggie will get the memo
25.gif

CD- I would wait a few more days on thedigi tests, they don''t seem to read faint positives from what have have read.

Po- Sorry to hearabout your UTI- I''ve never had one (knock on wood) but I can sympathize. DH and I are going to the Bahamas the first week in August so I''m looking forward to that. Hopefully if we start TTC in July that will be at the tail end of my 2WW (I think, but who knows) so going away would e a good thing. Also- shingles SUCK! I had themwhen I was 16 and they were awful. Luckily I''ve never gotten them again....

DC- Good luck these next 2 weeks. Try not to think about it too much and don''t worry about FF and the ratings. It''s not an exact science as I''ve read on here and other things, so perhaps you did hit the o-1 day. Sounds like you BD''d plenty!

Parrot- I''m fairly new here, so forgive me if you have already stated this- how long have you been TTC? Was there a reason your doctor checked your levels? I''ve heard that low progesterone is fairly easy to correct. Sorry you have to wait 2 weeks to find out.
8.gif

Bella- I''m a teacher so your "teaching to the test" comment made me laugh out loud. I''m a total Type A when it comes to most things, and I''m sure that I will be the same way when we start next month.

AS for me just sitting here charting away waiting until I get a positive OPK and temp shift. I''m not going to do anything with it, but it would be nice to have a second almost complete chart that shows my O''ing around CD19 or so to show the doctor when I go in next week. I started POAS OPK yesterday, just because I''m not sure if my cycle will go back to normal right away after the m/c. They have been negative and my temps are low still. It was interesting to review my temps this month compared to last month and I am starting to see a pattern, which I think is interesting. Medium ish temps that then drop lower and then *hopefully* shift higher around CD 19 for ovulation. Going to see the doctor next week Thursday for a checkup I guess to make sure everything is in working order, I guess. I think I''m going to order some Preseed as I can''t get any around here without going to a hospital pharmacy and probably paying WAY to much, so I''ll order off the internet, probably Amazon and I''ll get some cheapie HPT as well. I''ll stick withthe OPK I''ve been using from CVS since I''m used to them and they are pretty clear to me, a little pricey but not too bad. I''ll appreciate the cheapie HPT because when I get a BFP I''ll be POAS like a crazy person.

DCG – Thanks for asking after me. Funnily enough my appointment was today so good timing! The appointment with the doc was good. He was a really gentle caring man. I don’t have any answers as to why I’ve had 3 miscarriages because my results are all normal so far but I found a lot of what he had to say quite reassuring. I thought some people might be interested in the stats. Only about 1-3% of people will have recurrent miscarriages so for others who have suffered a loss, I hope this gives them some comfort that their chances of a successful pregnancy next time are good. Of those that have recurrent miscarriages, about 50% will have an underlying cause and the other 50% will not (probably just “bad luck” with defective embryos) which seems to be the case with me. If there is no underlying cause, you have about a 70% chance of a subsequent pregnancy being successful. So while it would have been nice to find the silver bullet, at least there was some comfort for the future. They are also very active in managing you early on in your next pregnancy to help reduce anxiety. Apparently, active management for those who have had a prior loss gives rise to more successful outcomes (even thought there doesn’t seem to be a scientific explanation for this). I feel I will get good care from them so we will just have to see what happens from here.

I have my fingers crossed for you in your 2ww and hope you have a great vacation.

Apologies to everyone else for the “me” centric post. I hope you are all doing well and that there are some BFPs soon.

Unfortunately I have to step back from baby making. Things with us have taken a turn for the worse, DH left his job in part to the labor commission investigating the company he was working for (they treated their employees REALLY badly) and in part to him being offered a job that promised twice his previous salary and was strictly a no commission job. He shows up, signs the paper and then guess what...it''s a commission based job. They flat out lied to us...So, we are surviving on water and ramen noodles, staying in, and trying just to make rent on my salary. Obviously not the best place to raise a child in. Anyways, hopefully things will pick up for us soon...My best thoughts and wishes are with all of you ladies.

Sorry about these unfortunate developments Smurf. I would send DH out to get whatever job he can find to help make ends meet until he finds something more permanent. If he left his last job I''m guessing he''s not eligible for unemployment? I''m sure it''s the same where you are as it is here on the East Coast, good jobs are still scarce, but Walmart and McDonalds are always hiring. This would be a good time to suck up the blow to the ego and just take anything he can get. Minimum wage is better than no money at all.

Ego has already been sucked up lol, we have both been teaming up to apply for any and all jobs, but even the grocery stores are not hiring, it's nuts!! It's hard to believe that we thought things were going to get so much better and instead they got so much worse, but life goes on ya know :)

So I hate to post an obsessive ''so what does this mean'' post buuut...

What does this mean: EWCM on CD5? TMI: Stretchy to 1 inch+, cannot be man-juice and no surge according to my OPK
33.gif

Should I get busy?

Smurfy: I am sorry you guys are under so much pressure. I hope something great comes along very soon.

Egg white cervical mucous on cycle day 5. too much information, stretchy to more than an inch, cannot be left over semen and I did not observe an elevated reading on my ovulation predictor (kit?)

Basically it means "get humping, it's a good day for baby making."

You are too cute HH. I didn''t get your 1st reply until I re-read my post! I will grab DH....
11.gif

But why did the OPK not detect a surge or could it be too early? And isn''t CD5 far too early anyhoo?
34.gif
My cycle is usually 28 days except the last 2 were 29 days. If I count light spotting I am CD8 but counting full red flow as CD1 I am only CD5. Does that even matter. Is it as simple as EWCM stretchy = get busy?

For me (and I''m 25 weeks) it was as simple as stretch EW=get busy. Not sure about the OPK, I didn''t use them.

I''m still hanging around waiting for PS 2.0. Thanks for asking dcgator. Re: a high rating on FF, I looked it up and to get a high rating you have to BD on 0-2,0-1, and 0. They found that 94% of the women with pregnant charts had sex on at least one of those three days. A low rating would be if you BD on 0-3. I think a good rating would be something in between. I''ve got my fingers crossed for you this month!

Steal, I read that if you spot THROUGHOUT the day, you can count that as CD1. So, you might be a little further into your cycle.

Geri, I''m so glad your appointment went well!

35.gif
to everyone!

As for me, FF changed my O date from CD19 to CD21, so I''m waiting until the end of the weekend to test. We got a high rating, since we ended up BDing for around 11 days nonstop plus every other day before and after the 11 day marathon. I''ve mentioned this before, but I''ve been having serious family issues for the past several months. I''ve just felt like I''ve been in a state of mourning. No one died, but I feel like I''ve been grieving for the way I wish things would be. My cycles had been really regular 28-29 days prior to these past few months. When I started to feel myself surrounded by this fog of grief is when my cycles started to get longer, and I''ve progressively been ovulating later. Anyway, I finally feel like the fog of grief is lifting, and I''m feeling more hopeful for this next cycle. I feel generally more optimistic and upbeat. I thought that the stress really wasn''t affecting me, but I read an article that said that even though you think that you''re dealing with chronic stress well and that it''s not affecting you, that your brain may actually still be releasing hormones and messing with your fertility. So, I''m going to start doing things to pamper myself and relax like getting weekly facials and yoga. I know it''s a little cliche, but my face could use the help, and my body could use the yoga to prepare for labor.
3.gif
Confession: I''ve started using belly oil already. I figure the sooner I start getting my skin ready for expansion the better.
2.gif

Ladies, thanks for all of the positive thoughts! You guys are the best.
36.gif

Bella, I don't know if you would need SI as you seem to ovulate at a good date (unless you want to try increasing your odds of multiples or a strong O.) I tried it so I can bring my O-date earlier.

DCgator, good luck in the TWW! I'm rooting for you! Enjoy your vaca next week! That'll be a nice distraction.

Smurfy, sorry to hear about all your troubles.
15.gif

Miscka, did you have any other signs leading up to your early O?

Po10472, sorry about the UTI.
14.gif
I hope you have a lovely stay-at-home-holiday. I think those can be just as fun as going away. Whenever I have those, I like to act the tourist at home.

wellinsm, thinking of you.

Steal, hope you've been 'getting busy'!

Brightlight, good lord! That is some BDing!
36.gif
Are you doing the Sperms Meets Egg Plan? I hope it works out for you this cycle! So sorry to hear about your family issues. I hope things turn around for the better soon. ((Hugs))

********
As for me, I'm at DPO 12. Haven't POAS since Wednesday morning. Felt some cramping yesterday which made me think AF was on her way, but temps are still high this morning. I'd normally start seeing a drop by now. However, since I took SI this cycle, I have no idea if it's affecting my TWW symptoms/temps. We'll see tomorrow if there's a drop.

Happy Friday everyone!

Happy Friday Ladies!

Smurf - I''m sorry things have taken a downward turn. I really hope your DH finds something soon.

CDinNYC - High temps are a good sign! Fingers crossed for you
9.gif

Miscka - I''ve had 1 fluke cycle where I O''d early (CD 10, I think). Things just went back to my ''normal'' the next month. sorry you missed the window
7.gif

DCgator - Boo to FF for not giving you the high rating. You still covered your bases pretty well though! Yay for vacation...I''m sure you''ll enjoy it.

Po - Yuck...UTIs are not fun. I was plagued with them in my early 20s and eventually had to see a urologist to find out what the issue was. Thankfully I''ve been UTI free for a few years now. I hope you and your DH start to feel better soon. No vacation for me this summer...unfortunately.

Geri - Thank you for the information you provided.

Steal - Have fun!
2.gif

Brightlight - Lol about the belly oil. I''m so glad the fog is lifting for you! Pampering yourself sounds like a fantastic idea!

**************************
As for me...it''s CD17. I got a + OPK on CD 15 &16. We started BD EOD starting on CD 11 and I''m worried we''re running out of steam. As I mentioned before, we aren''t an ''everyday'' couple and the more BD sessions that get added, the harder it is for DH to maintain and finish (sorry if this is TMI). I''m worried it isn''t gonna happen tonight...if we can''t manage, I''m sure I''ll be out this cycle which sucks. I guess well use the same method next month but not start until about CD 14 maybe? I know it''s not DH''s fault, but it''s just frustrating...gah, I''m done.
15.gif

Amandine: I''m sorry this was not your month

Imperfect Girl: I''m crossing my fingers for you.

dcgator: Have a wonderful vacation and enjoy the beach

Steal: The moving is doing great, we still have some boxes around the house but the apartment is all set up. We are renting, we don''t really feel motivate about buying in Manhattan b/c of the High Maintenance cost sometimes over $1,500 a month

40.gif
. We feel is not worthy to buy here.

Smurfy: Sorry about that, dust to your DH to find a job fast.

LOL, I had to give my hubby a pat on the butt this month.
5.gif
I didn''t know what the SMEP was, so I looked it up. I guess we are doing a modified version of the plan. My cycles have ranged from 26 days to 45 days. Both the 26 day and 45 day cycles are outliers, but we start BDing early in my cycle every other day just in case I ovulate early again. When I start seeing EWCM, we start BDing every day. We''ve stopped BDing too early these past few months since O has been gradually moving later these past few months, so we kept BDing until FF confirmed O. Then, we threw in a few more days just in case, which is a good thing since FF changed my O date to CD21.

If AF comes to visit you this month, we''ll be cycle twins! She came today for me, so I''m CD1. I''m excited about a fresh start this month! I feel so much better emotionally this month. If I don''t start ovulating sooner in the next few cycles, I might look into SI. I''m glad it''s working for you. I have my fingers crossed for you though that AF doesn''t come. My temps had been slowly dropping the past two days. Since yours are still elevated, that''s a good sign.

Happy Friday Ladies,

WOOHOO, we finally made it!
36.gif
(Can you tell I am excited yet?) Not only is it about an hour till the weekend, but, I won''t have to come back to the office next week b/c I will be on a much needed vacation. Yipee! Sorry for my over reacting, but it''s been a really good day at work, and I am just so looking forward to a week with family and friends. Anywho, back to TTC busines...

Wellism: Thanks for the well wishes. I''m sure because I am on vaca the time will fly by

. I think we had a pretty good BD''ing schedule too, so I have high hopes for this month. Fingers crossed

I wish you good luck on getting a confirmed O and being armed and ready for your Dr. appt next week.

Geri: Hey miss Geri. It''s good to hear from you. Sounds like my timing was just right

. I think that everything the Dr. said sounds very reassuring and I think it''s great that he wants to be so active with another pregnancy. I''m sorry that he couldn''t give you any particular cause, but maybe he can catch w/ever the problem is before it happens. I will keep you in my thoughts and I hope that when you are ready to give it another go, you will hit the jackpot with a VERY sticky bean! Thanks for the crossed fingers and I hope to have some good news for you in the next week or so!

Steal: I have not had EWCM so early before, but it sounds promising. I hope that it is indeed prime time and that you are able to catch it! Good luck
1.gif

HH: I have seen some of the BPF''s and you look great. Btw, did you get to try any of those places in DC a few weeks ago?

Brightlight: Hello there chica. Thanks for thinking of me, let''s hope the crossed fingers work

. Speaking of luck, I am wishing you truckloads of it my dear. 11 days of BD''ing in a row,
6.gif
, my goodness, you must be superwoman or something! I know it has been such a rough go these past couple months, and a LO would be such a blessing, so I really hope that this is your month! Either way, I don''t think the yoga and facials could hurt,
3.gif
. I will have my computer with me, so I will keep an eye out for you this weekend...

CDNinNYC: Thanks for cheerleading, I am throwing it right back it you!
36.gif
. You have such patience for waiting to POAS again. I really hope that when you decide to do it, you will get your BFP! AF, Stay away from CDN, Shooo!

Imperfectgirl: Happy Friday to you too! Just to let you know, I don''t think you are out for this month at all. Let''s just say you O tomorrow, on CD18, and you BD''ed on CD11, 13, 15, (and manage to get one in tonight), then you would hit O-3 and O-1. That is plenty of BD''ing. Plus, if you O''ed today (I can''t remember if you temp, so I don''t know if you would know), then you are already set with O-3 and O-1. Either way, I wish you lots of luck, and remember, it only takes one time...

Gaby: Thanks for the well wishes, I am looking very forward to vaca, indeed. I imagine you are getting close to your BD''ing marathon, so good luck with it!

Well, I am 5DPO today, and feeling good. I have decided I am going to have a positive attitude and that I am just going to get a BFP in about 5 days. No if''s, and''s or but''s
9.gif
. (If only it was that easy, lol) Either way, DH and I are excited for vaca with the fam and I''m hoping it will keep me plenty distracted. I will be taking my computer with me and checking in every now and then, so I will let you know if I get any good news
2.gif
. I wish you all a lovely weekend and I look forward to see some great news from a couple of you while I am gone

15.gif
LOL, if nothing else, I''ll have a well moisturized tummy. Thanks for the well wishes! I really do feel much happier.

If fatigue is setting in, have you tried BDing every 36 hours in the earlier days? For example, BD at night on CD11 and again in the morning on CD13? Then, BD every day when you get the + OPK? Sorry it''s so frustrating, but you BDed on CD15 and CD16 when you got your + OPKs. So, I think you''ve still got a good shot!

I''m sure because I am on vaca the time will fly by
2.gif
. I think we had a pretty good BD''ing schedule too, so I have high hopes for this month. Fingers crossed
1.gif
I wish you good luck on getting a confirmed O and being armed and ready for your Dr. appt next week.

Geri: Hey miss Geri. It''s good to hear from you. Sounds like my timing was just right
2.gif

Good luck

HH: I have seen some of the BPF''s and you look great. Btw, did you get to try any of those places in DC a few weeks ago?

Thanks dcgator! I''m going to do the implantation dance for you every night this week! I''ll even cross my ankles for you!

WOOHOO dcgator! And we are so close, I am 4dpo! I was happy because I was wrong by one day, it told me I Oed Monday, so we did get 0-1 and O, so I am hopeful too! Crossing my fingers for us both and JEALOUS you are on vaca!! What a great way to get a BFP...on vacation!

Gah! I read all your posts on my way home, so of course I got tempted and stopped into the local CVS. This time, instead of a digi, I bought the First Response Tests. I just poas. There was the faintest 2nd line AGAIN but I wasn't 100 sure, AGAIN. So, I did what any sane person would do and took the stick apart. This is what I saw.

Anyone know if taking a test apart affects the results?
40.gif
The line seems more obvious since I did so but maybe I didn't give it enough time. If these lines keep up the way they've been showing I WILL have to wait until June 20th to tell DH in order to get a true 2nd line.
