AFM, dessert is all ready for tonight''s dinner. They smell so good.

Wish me luck!
They look amazing. So you are telling DH tonight? He will be over the moon.

Did you bake the cupcakes? They really do look great.
18.gif
How did you think that up? Where did you get the a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e spoons/forks from?

You really are too cute.

CD-That is adorable!!!!!!!

IHA-Waiting for an update

Ryan-I agree that it''s like dating and I think after 5 months, even if it wasn''t super exciting dating, you are ready to take the next step. I hope that this IUI/cycle is great for you. Your doc sounds really helpful and I agree that getting you knocked up sounds like a good strategy. problem solving re ovulation is all well and good, but since it is probably a screwy hormone thing, I think getting you knocked-up ASAP is a great solution
2.gif

On my end, CD 15 and I think today was a positive OPK but it really can be hard to tell. I just remembered that I got those smiley face ones for a reason, so i am going to bust one out this evening
2.gif

Oh my those look so yummy!!

Testing first thing in the AM, ladies. Wish me luck!!
9.gif

Good luck!

IHA, (belated) good luck.

dcgator, good luck to you too!

Good luck IHA.

Steal thanks for your prospective about the natural progression of these things. I hope moving to this next step pays off. I think something like IUI just feels very medical and in that way I may have to admit to myself that we are having infertility issues. But at the same time it''s moving us closer to getting preggers, so that is really exciting. Not trying to get too ahead of myself though... we''ll see how things go Friday.

CDN - thanks for well wishes. Your cupcake reveal was AWESOME. How did it go? I hope DH was blow away :)

Bella - I hope you got your smiley go ahead and that you made the most of the weekend. Thanks for your encouragement with regards to the RE and IUI.

IHA - dust dust dust...

Not sure if the pic will be too small... but here is an early morning shot of the pool in Costa Rica with volcano views.

Ryan Claire, that is an amazing photo! Thanks for sharing - I can almost smell the rich vegetation and the cool misty air. Delicious! Yay for your great new RE! I think an IUI sounds like a great plan and how wonderful that your doctor is so proactive. Yay!

Dust to all the ladies in the 2WW!!!!

Super duper dust to dcgator, IHA and Bella...and every lovely lady in the 2WW or beyond.

Hey ladies,

Just a quick note as I am in the throws of catching up with all the work the piled up while I was gone. Thanks to everyone who sent dust. I really appreciated it
1.gif
.

Well, I am back from vaca, and unfortunately, I brought AF back with me instead of a LO. Stupid AF, I really hate her sometimes...
29.gif
Needless to say, I was really upset.

Between AF showing up and a bunch of other drama that took place the last night of vaca, I am going through a bit of a tough time right now. I need to sort out my feelings with all this TTC stuff and decide how best to proceed, so I might not post for a bit. But, I want to let you know that I will be checking in and keeping an eye out for all the good news you ladies have to share.

Ryan Claire: I am happy to hear that someone is going to take some action with your situation and hopefully a LO is just a couple months away. I can only imagine how it feels like all the sudden its happening so fast, but embrace the renenwed possibility that you could be a mommy soon! I wish you lots of luck with the impending procedure and hope everything works out for you.
9.gif

CDN: What a tasty way to tell your DH. I hope he enjoyed the dessert and the news!
2.gif

Miscka: I hope that you got some better news than me. Good luck!

IHA: I also hope you got some positive news. Please let us know how it went.

I wish everyone good luck in whichever part of the TTC process you are. I look forward to coming back later when all this has settled down. Till then, take care!

Hey guys, posting from the fetal position on my couch bc AF is so totally evil. Ugh. CD1, here we go again

I''m ready though, have a shipment of Soy I, smiley OPKs, wondfo OPKs and HPTs headed my way. Still have some preseed and Instead cups, so BRING IT, TTC! Haha.

--------

DC, sorry you are having a tough time. I really hope you feel better soon, and that you will be around. Hugs!!!

IHA, where are you?!? Whats the news?

Ryan C, GORGEOUS pic!

Was really thinking that you''d bring back something else other than AF back from your vacay.
Bummer about the work load awaiting for you too. Boo.
At least it didn''t bug or track you down while you were on vacation ^.^
Sorry to hear that you''ll be gone for a while...we''ll miss you.
Hope you be back here (or better yet in the preggo thread) soon.

Miscka
7.gif
about AF rearing her ugly face and being such a b*tch.
Fingers crossed for the coming month.

RyanC
Thanks for sharing that nice picture of your vacation ^.^
I feel relaxed just looking at it.
Glad to hear that your RE is taking such a proactive approach.
How old are you again (if you don''t mind asking).
The reason I asked is because my RE is the same way too if you are a maternal age patient.
I guess being 35+, time really is not on our side to wait and see w/ different method.
The goal is to get you pregnant pronto.
Good luck at the appt. on Friday!

IHA
Hoping you have some good news to share.

Bella
Fingers crossed for you and may your 2WW goes by fast.

CDN
Awww...what a sweet presentation of your announcement.
How did it go? ^.^

Hi ladies
35.gif

I know it has been a couple of months, but unfortunately I don''t have much good news to report. I mentioned before that DH had an appointment with an urologist and a SA. DH''s SA was pretty awful - extremely low count, about 30% motility and 2% morphology. His urologist made it sound like the end of the world, and the two of us have been working through that over the past few days. We have an appointment with a fertility specialist next week, but I''m not even sure what we would do even if we heard even slightly better than dire news.

On the positive front, I''m ovulating regularly and have been for the past 4 months, so maybe that will count for something down the road.

In the meantime I can report 2 "highs" on FF - doing 0, 0-1 and 0-2 ... in case any of you are shooting for a "high" rating
5.gif
This cycle I had really high hopes - for the first time, my temps have steadily climbed and I thought that meant something. But I feel pretty hopeless right now. I''m 9 DPO and due for AF on Saturday.

Krissie im sorry
15.gif
fingers crossed for you and your SO....

congrats to the lovely ladies here with recent BFPs
35.gif

Dcgator, I''m so sorry about AF and the issues in your life. I hope things get better soon and you get some good news. I''ll still be cheering for you!

DC-I am so sorry that things are rough right now. I know TTC is a challenging journey for many of us. I am pretty at peace this cycle and am looking at it as a marathon rather than a sprint, and something that I am trying not to put my life on hold for (still working on that part of it)! HUGE HUGS!!!!

Krissie-Huge Hugs to you too!!!!! That must be very disappointing news to hear! I hope that the fertility Dr has some insight and that you find a path forward to start your family whether through IVF, adoption, a miracle (which happens frequently in TTC world!), or some other means.

I don''t even remember which DPO I am, I think 4....I am feeling pretty chill and just trying to take things as they come....(plus I am starting a cloth diaper stash based on ebay and craigslists deals so I have something to occupy my time:-) It''s actually quite fun!
2.gif
Also, I am LOVING our CSA and learning how to cook and appreciate all kinds of new veggies. I am on week 4 of getting bok choy, so any recipes that don''t involve asian flavors/stir-fry are much appreciated!

Krissie - I had been thinking ab you and wondering where you went. Sorry to hear about your SA results. I do not know much about those numbers, but I am crossing all my fingers that everything works out wonderfully for you guys. Please keep us posted, we miss you!

Bella, we are doing a CSA too! We have had bok choy and we just did a basic stir fry, so I have no good recipes. We have had a bunch of swiss chard! We are making a potato/swiss chard curry type thing this week, should be interesting! We had chili paste cabbage the other night that nearly made my head explode. You are right though its very fun!

PAGING CDN!!!

I hope you see this tonight! I got my SI in, and for some reason I thought I should start at CD3, but you started on CD 5. Obv it worked for you, but I was wondering why you went with 5-9? I am CD3 now so trying to figure out what to do
1.gif
Haha, I even bought the same brand as you!

How are you feeling btw? What did your DH think of the surprise??

Hey Ladies!

Sorry for the latish response. I've picked up extra hours at the place I'm volunteering at and by the time I get home all I wanna do is sleep!

Steal, how's it going, friend? I did tell DH Friday night.
1.gif
I didn't bake the cupcakes although I probably should have tried. I got them at DH's favourite bakery. I remember reading online where a woman did something similar for her DH but with creme brulee instead of cupcakes. I liked the idea so I stole it.
3.gif
I also debated telling him through fortune cookies but he never eats/opens his so I wasn't sure if it would work. The baby spoon/fork set was bought online. If you google silver spoons you'll get tonnes of options with different price points. Once they arrived I took them to a local engraver. And the rest, as they say, is history.
5.gif

Bella, thanks! Hope all is well with you in the TWW!

Tao, they were yummy!
18.gif
So, when should we expect you here on a regular basis? Love seeing your avatar.

Ryan Claire, I don't know if he was blown away but he was sure as heck shocked. Heheha. Actually, he didn't even notice the spoon/fork right away. I had to nudge him. As soon as he saw the cupcakes, his eyes glazed over in anticipation. Boys.... I love that photo you posted! Ahhhh, I wanna go away again!

dcgator, sorry to hear about AF and the drama that showed up at the end of your vaca.
14.gif
Hopefully things get resolved soon.

lili, thank you! DH was shocked but got over it pretty quickly. I think he was impressed with his 'sniper' (his word) sperm.
3.gif
Hope everything is going well with you?

Miscka, sorry to hear about AF. I hope the SI works for you as it did for me. OK, so this is what I understand about SI. You can take it CD2-6, CD3-7, CD4-8, or CD5-9.

1.) Taking it earlier (say 2-6) increases your chances of twins. Taking it later (5-9) helps create a stronger egg. The other dates (3-7 and 4-8) fall in between.
2.) After taking your last dose, O supposedly happens a few days later. I wasn't sure when it would happen to me but I didn't want it to happen too early. I normally ovulate about CD 22. Taking the SI CD5-9 caused me to O on CD17. If you normally ovulate around CD 14, I'd probably start taking the SI at CD2 or 3.

I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any other questions or need clarification. FYI, I took them at night right before bed so I could avoid the potential side effects (headaches).

I'll keep an eye out for any more posts from you before I take a little nap.

Hi everyone. I have been AWOL for a little while but just thought I would share our news. After 3 losses, we got another BFP on 31 May! Had the first ultrasound today and we have a heart beat for the first time
36.gif
. The bean is measuring 7 weeks. We are still in shock but cautiously hopeful that this one is a sticky one. Hope everyone is doing well and will pop in again when I have a chance to catch up.

Aw thanks for the compliments on my avatar.

I''m really hoping I''ll be joining this thread come August''ish''. We were still debating when we wanted to start trying...and decided there really is no "good" time so we figure why not just jump right in. I just stopped taking birth control pills and am waiting to see how my cycle goes off the pills.

I''m trying not to post too much and just read up on everything---I figure why keep asking questions that have already been answered a million times on this thread.

I''m loving reading all the good news on this board lately....it''s so exciting!

CD, that was super sweet of you to help me so quickly! I just took my first round, so here goes nothing! I have a good feeling about this cycle, our due date would be around our 2 year anni, as well as right around my BFFs babys 1st bday, and I always told her I wanted to copy her timing (preg all winter). Loved hearing about your DH and the spoons, I am excited for you and cant wait to read about your journey!

Geri, CONGRATS!!!!!!! That is such wonderful news. Happy and healthy 9 months!

IHA - I hope you are well, isnt your wedding this weekend? Or was it last weekend?

tao I love your av as well, what a cutie! Excited for you to join us

GERI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope this is a sticky bean and that you have a joyous and healthy 9 months!

CD-thanks for the info! I love your spoons and am so excited for you!

Tao-he-he-he, we''ll be waiting for you in August

:) This is my first post in here hubbie and I married 12 days ago (no pics up yet :P) and we kinda stumbled into the decision to TTC for lack of a better way to explain about 2 wks before the wedding to not officially (as in we won't be charting and all that just yet) and have been trying - will be taking a test tomorrow before we head off for our honeymoon in a couple of days to see if anything has happened. Anyway thought I would join this thread to chat with you ladies in the same position and hopefully learn something new along the way :)

Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all :)

ETA: Congrats Geri :) sending sticky vibes your way

36.gif
If I recall, the RE was going to closely monitor you from the get go, right? And this is the first time you have heard the hearbeat, yes?

I think its so very exciting that you have gotten this far and I sincerely hope that this little bean gets the memo and hangs in there for the rest of the 7+ months. I wish you a VERY healthy and happy pregnancy!

Po! my fellow European.

if you''re still out there, I was wondering if you would like to have my 3 months worth of CBFM test sticks (30 sticks). They expire in October 2010 (which by the fortune teller''s prediction you should be pregnant by then
2.gif
).

so if you''d like them, free, just e-mail me. I think you can ask the moderator for my e-mail address or something.

Awwww Noel, that''s so sweet of you, you''ve made me squirm by being so nice. I will of course pay for postage via paypal, I couldn''t possibly expect you to give me 3 months worth of test sticks and pay for postage!!

I''ll contact the mod for your email address.

Thank you, you''ve made my day.

I totally understand your cautious optimism and I truly hope this little one sticks around. You and your DH deserve it after so much heartbreak. Must have been wonderful to hear a hb. Good luck!

I will be back to tomorrow to reply to people's posts and let you know how my u/s went. Best case scenario... the 150mg of clomid worked and they trigger O... worst case Clomid failed again, she cancels this cycle and we move on to injectables. We shall see!
